[Thanks to combined efforts, Mondo's managed to set up the lounge to make for a pretty nice birthday party, all things considered. There's decorations and food, if mostly desserts, but he figures Chihiro likes that kind of thing so it's all good.

He knows Chihiro has plenty of friends, so there's not much worry about people showing up, but...he doesn't want it to be lame.

Wanting it to be a surprise, around noon he goes to get Chihiro and carry him in on his shoulders.]

Shion entered the room with slightly haunted eyes carrying a pie. They had no cherries so he had used strawberry and it was a slightly unusual choice for a pie, but Shion hoped it would taste alright.

He looked around the room, looking for Chihiro to wish him happy birthday.

Chihiro goes over to Shion when he spots him.

"Hello, Shion-kun! Thanks for coming!"

Then his smile faltered when he noticed the haunted look in the others eyes.

"Is everything alright...?"

Shion nodded, he hadn't seen Chihiro since the day Rat disappeared and he hoped he hadn't scared him with his anger. "I'm fine... I made pie I hope it tastes nice."

Chihiro smiled brightly. "I'm sure it tastes great! It smells and looks great !"

"I hope it's nice, it's strawberry. You like strawberry right?" He hoped so, he probably should have checked before making it.

"How old are you now?"

"Oh? A strawberry pie?" That certainly was interesting. "Mn! I do! I'm 17 now."

"Yes... well it was the only fruit, except apples but apple pie is quite popular and I didn't know if someone had already made one for you..."

He blinked, he had thought Chihiro was a lot younger than him. "The same age as me then..."

"I see! Well, I'm sure it'll be delicious! I can wait to try it!" He smiled brightly and reassuringly at his friend.

"Eh? Really? Did you turn 17 this year as well?"

"Well last year... in September."

"Then you're a little older than me then. When in September is your birthday?"

September 7th.

We'll have to celebrate it then when it comes around!

[He smiled] That would be nice.

Ah, what kinds of food do you like, Shion-kun?

All sorts... I like pie too, cherry's my favorite.

I'll make you some cherry pie for your birthday then!

That would be nice!

Is there anything else you'd like for your birthday?

[He shook his head] You don't have to get me anything...

But it's your birthday!

It doesn't matter, I still don't need anything.

There's nothing at all that you want...?

No nothing at all!

[All he wants for his friends to be there, and he can only hope that Chihiro wont disappear before his birthday comes.]

Oh... well, if you do want something later, do tell me, alright?

I will. But today it is your birthday, so what do you want to do?
