arrival | open

Characters: Sakura Matou and YOU
Setting: Dorm Floors, Library, and Cafeteria though meeting her in between floors works as well.
Format: Action, while I can do prose it takes me longer
Summary: Sakura arrives, becomes confused, and then becomes even MORE confused after meeting the people she meets. And then she solves her problems with cooking. That's legit, right?
Warnings: None for the actual post but I know the thread between her and Rin is probably going to get violent. I'll add more if needed.

[Dormitory Floors]

[ After arriving and eating her god awful oatmeal, Sakura enters room 1-01 to find her things and take stock of everything that she's arrived with in her trunk. Not a lot, but it's still comforting to find that she has some things from home. After perhaps talking with a few roommates, she exits her room and wanders on the other dorm floors, mostly to try to find anyone she knows. Particularly Senpai, Nee-san, or Rider, but for some reason she has a feeling that they aren't here. ]

[Library]

[ While she's not a book worm by any means, she knows that being here without any knowledge is a bad idea. Sakura's a smart girl so she hits the books, trying to flip through and find any information about where she's stuck at.

Of course, she's not having much of any luck. ]

[Cafeteria]

[ After all of that, she decides to relax a bit by cooking a meal later in the day. Fried rice is on the menu, served over the best cuts of fish she could find in the Tower's stock with tons of veggies and other goodies stuffed into the rice. She's even cooked a sauce with a bit of spice to it to serve over it. She made enough for multiple people, and she doesn't particularly care who comes to eat, so feel free to serve yourself and join her for a meal. ]

[Upon exiting her room, she'll bump into one of her neighbors from 1-02. And by bump into I mean he's not paying attention to where he's going and nearly walks into her.]

-sorry!

That's not surprising, most humans haven't heard of the world of demons.

Library

[It wasn't as strong as she had imagined it would be, but Saber could feel the distinct prana of her master. She didn't even take the time to think about why that might be when she dropped her fork onto her plate and left the cafeteria. Leaving the half-eaten meal behind, the knight tracked her master's signature without hesitation.

It took several floors and a bit of backtracking - Sakura had chosen to not stay put, it seemed - before she came to the library. Blackened armor materialized about her, visor shielding her eyes, as she entered the floor she KNEW her master was on. It wasn't often that monsters lurked the stacks during the day, but she was well aware of how many other Servants and Masters were around.

And Rin. She couldn't forget Rin. She'd told Rin that she would not allow her to kill Sakura. Saber had to get to her master before Rin did.

When she came upon the girl leafing through a book, Saber noted the lack of taint upon her. Her hair was dark again, eyes no longer red... No marks of corruption upon her skin like Saber still bore. But it was her master. She could feel it.

...and she never had known the outcome of that final fight between Sakura and Rin. All she knew is that it had ended before she found herself within the Tower. Perhaps Sakura's state was a result of Rin Tohsaka being victorious.

As the dark knight came to a stop, still and stoic, behind Sakura and waited to be addressed (noticed), she felt a pang in her chest - somewhere deep inside - that even if Rin had won... they'd both lost Shirou. That foolish boy had lost his mind, giving everything he had in his attempt to defeat her. The only victory Saber was not proud of, as it was inglorious. And by default.

And neither woman would have him...]

[ Considering everything that's happened to Rin this month, she figures that life in this stupid tower can't get any worse. Knowing that the sister she sacrificed everything for is dead and that if she were to run into another one in this place that she would be from a parallel world was disheartening. If it wasn't for the people she surrounded herself with and the unhealthy amount of time she spent asleep, Rin may have snapped already.

This is why she's taken by surprise when she steps out of her room only to see a sight she never thought possible. No, that's not true. Wasn't she told about this from her uncle at some point or was that a trick of her mind? No, Saber was the one who told her about this. It was definitely Saber, wasn't it? ]

Hey. [ It wasn't much of a greeting--it was spoken softly as though if she didn't hear it, that maybe they could go on ignoring each other. ]

[Loyalty was something Saber always had to her masters. Even if she disliked them or, in some cases, hated them for what they made her do like destroy the Holy Grail, she was loyal. She was a knight. Even Angra Mainyu could not take the knight out of her. Neither had Sakura. Sakura had given her a choice, whether the girl realized it or not, and Saber had made the choice. Being what she was now instead of perishing had been the King of Knights' decision. Though it was forced upon her, she still had chosen to accept it at the end.

Kiritsugu had never given her a choice and forced what he did upon her through the use of multiple command seals. No matter how much she raged, she could not stop herself. And so, no matter what Sakura may think, Saber did not hate her for what she did. Silently, she thanked her for giving her the ability to see herself and her kingly ways as the foolishness they were.]

I have endured. [A pause.] Do you have any questions I can answer regarding this Tower and our current situation? I must warn you that there are many Servants and Masters present within the Tower. From three different Holy Grail Wars - the Fourth, the Fifth and the Mooncell War.

Second Magic is quite prevalent here.

That's more like it. And you're a really nice human, which I think is a compliment, right?

...

[There was a moment's hesitation before her visor was dismissed and she swept the library with those pale yellow eyes. She didn't feel the presence of any Servants, but that didn't mean there wasn't a Master about. And it would be less suspicious if she conversed with Sakura like they had before the magus had claimed her. When she was contracted with Shirou.

Sakura might be a bit surprised to see Saber's attire once the armor faded away and she pulled the chair next to the girl out. Black suit, black gloves and her hair drawn back in a low ponytail, the knight looked far more androgynous than Sakura had ever seen her.

Even now, the suit still felt more natural than that stupid school uniform had. The latter she gave to her other self, but the former she wore every now and then when she wasn't in the mood for a dress.]

What would you like me to start with?

Cafeteria

[personal profile] vermicompost 2013-03-16 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
[The ride down to the cafeteria in the elevator is a long one, and usually Kariya is tired out by the end of it (the simplest things tire him), so he decides to sit for a while in the cafeteria to rest and attempt to eat a little something before moving on to other floors. He does like to move about, even if it's hard sometimes. He's stubborn. He could ask Lancelot to help him, but he doesn't want to rely on the Servant too much. Lancelot can find him if he needs him. He's still not entirely sure what to make of his un-mad Servant.

He's so wrapped up in his own thoughts that he doesn't see her at first. It's only when he does his customary sweep of the faces in the cafeteria (anyone might show up here, at any time), that he notices.

That hair, that ribbon, those eyes... She's so much older, but can it really be--? Yes, he'd recognize her anywhere, he thinks. It has to be her. He only hopes that this isn't a repeat of Shinji and she's from a world where knows him. It would hurt too much if she wasn't. Or what if she forgot about him? She'd been so young. These thoughts and more run through his mind, but he calls out to her, regardless, as he takes a halting step toward her.
