Setting: Rainy days and floor twenty-five
Summary: Izanami loves the rain. So she's going to enjoy the downpour.
Warnings: Izanami being Izanami

[A meadow and some rain is a perfect thing for this goddess. She's currently sitting among the flowers, soaked through, but not minding because she has rather missed the rain. Her head is tilted back, and her eyes are closed, and she general seems remarkably at peace--and strangely happy, despite the near-flooding.

She had missed the rain far too much.]

Beautiful weather, isn't it?

[Floor 25 has quickly grown to be a favorite of hers. The empty meadow was peaceful for a nap or two, relaxing in the light went on relatively undisturbed, and when it didn't she always happened to meet an interesting face or learn more about the tower as a result. Even sweeter was the sudden and drastic change of weather as well as a new curiosity enjoying her floor.

Ahri appears seemingly from out of nowhere, strolling over to Izanami's side and settling down a few feet from her. She's forgone her normal attire for a traditional kimono, and much like the goddess, she doesn't mind the downpour at all. ~~despite the tails and ears, she's curiously lacking in wet dog smell too, thank god.~~]

It is indeed.

[Izanami will only lower her head now to smile at the other. It is rare that she actually does so without the veil of mystery to it, but today is a good day and the rain has her in an excellent mood.]

Not many enjoy the rain. It's a shame.

Perhaps because they equate it with sadness?

[Ahri looks up to the "sky" for as long as possible before closing her eyes with a chuckle. She's not used to experiencing this sort of weather in her human form though the sensation and smell of the rain cascading her skin is refreshing.]

I wonder why that is.

Perhaps. Though without rain, we would be without new growth. Many do not think of the other side of the coin.

[Rain is always refreshing to Izanami! It's her favorite weather, even above fog.]

And without new growth, the world stagnates and dies. So this is what they mean - the whole world really is connected in a way.

[Ahri smiles warmly]

It's beautiful. I often wonder what marvelous magic makes this place function. Many of its intricacies are simply a mystery to me.

Life is a cycle. Death gives way to new life. All life ends. all is connected.

[The goddess knows that better than anyone.]

[The wet weather had been little more than a nuisance to chaos. He had woken up a little late, but he had managed to put his trunk on his bed and found that Alice In Wonderland had absorbed any water that had fallen in. That was left on the top of the trunk to dry. However, everything else was perfectly fine, if a bit damp..but not horrible.

So, chaos wandered the Tower, figuring that Zo was not quite used to the weather controls yet. He didn't mind getting rained on, and when he came through the meadow floor and saw Izanami enjoying it, he smiled.]

I did not know that you enjoyed the rain.

I do. It has always been my favorite weather. The rain brings new growth and renewal.

[And it washes away the top layer of earth and sin.]

The rain does have quite a few good points. I have not felt it in awhile, so it is nice to feel it again, even if it is artificial.

I haven't felt it since before I arrived. It has been far too long.

[Which is why she's enjoying it now.]

Perhaps we'll gain regular weather. I would enjoy that.

I felt it a little while before I arrived here..but it has been awhile.

[chaos always enjoyed the rain. When you live in space, you don't feel it often.]

Hopefully we will..however, I just hope that the summers are not as harsh as this rain.

A harsh summer would be quite bad indeed.

[She's frowning just thinking about it. She never has liked the heat, not since her own death.]

[chaos, personally, did not mind it. However, others suffered during the head.]

That it would. However, if I find you suffering through it, I shall do my best to help you.

I do not have a happy relationship with fire and heat.

[For the briefest of moments, part of her face will melt away to show scarred tissue--a burn of some sort--before it corrects itself.]

But you are a kind boy. Thank you.

[chaos noticed that burn and nodded.]

I see. I shall try to make sure your relationship does not worsen then..and don't mention it. We all need a little help sometimes. However..please don't call me boy. I am chaos.

And I am a goddess of death, formerly a goddess of creation. I am older than Nippon is.

[So really, everyone seems like a kid to her.]

[And chaos wasn't even phased. He was the failsafe for his universe, so he wasn't bothered..but it was good to hear what Izanami actually was.]

I figured that you might be something of the sort, from what I could sense. However, even to you, I am still chaos.

[Hint.]

So it would seem.

[...She's still probably going to call you a kid out of force of habit. There are few who don't get that treatment.]

...So you saw through my disguise.

[chaos wouldn't mind then. Just as long as she knew.]

..I did. However, I did not mention it. I would not like people talking about what I am unless it was necessary, so I do not air other people's secrets.

You are very perceptive. Most would take what they see at face value and not pry to learn more.

[She quite likes that. Not many see Truth, or are willing to do it.]

I apologize if I was prying..however, being what I am, it is hard to just take things at face value and leave it at that..especially when the face value is wrong.

*Rain was life to a man who was brought up in a desert. The details of much of his mortal life had been lost to time, but such things weren't dependent on episodic memory, now were they? It was even more so with the smell of it near plants. Rain had been destruction, for at least one of his mementos of his time in Meridian, but...

There was no vilifying such a force for him. Seeing someone else at peace in the rain draws him near, seeking respite by proxy from the loss of something so important to him.*

I was looking forward to a pleasant rain...a shame we couldn't have the first of the post-winter rains done properly.

I'll enjoy it regardless. Rain is... So rare here. It's a shame.

[Izanami is surprisingly transparent and open today! Because she has missed the rain so dearly.]

It is... *He can't help but smile a little up at the ceiling. On this floor, the rain appears natural.* ...though that could be because it takes some effort, it seems.

Maybe. We shall see. It may simply be that it is a complication they do not wish to account for in their experiments.

Or perhaps their records don't show plenty of rain? If there's anything we know now because of this, it's that weather here is not natural. This world likely doesn't have it anymore...

And then it rained nearly all month next month.
