Every day's great at your Animus~
Characters: Nanako and you~
Setting: Various floors; see below.
Format: Whatever you chose, I'll match.
Summary: Now that the weather has calmed down and everything's back to normal, Nanako decides to do a little exploring on her own! ...or at least, with some parental figure trailing behind her.
Warnings: Possible amounts of extreme adorable.
Dorm Room 3-15
[Nanako scrunched her face up at the contents of her trunk, pulling out the costume she had been forced to wear on Halloween. She had been afraid to even look at it after what happened to her big brother, but... well, she couldn't hate it, or hate the character it represented, no matter how much the memories hurt. Her brother wouldn't want her to give up something she loved because of that, right?]
[It took a moment, but she pulled on the cape, and the cap, and held up her special spyglass toy.]
Magical Detective, Loveline, is on the case!
[She pushed the button and...]
I'll pump you full of holes!
[...these toys can never say what you want them to say.]
Floor Eight
[Mazes are seriously amazing.]
[Nanako's never been in one, let alone by herself, but she knows the basics: keep your hand on the wall, don't try to backtrack, stuff like that. She's hoping that the maze will lead to some kind of secret treasure -- something she could give to her brother to cheer him up -- but it only ends up looping her around back to the stairs...]
[She let out a disappointed noise, pressing the button on her spyglass:]
It's a secret!
[...nope, still not cooperating.]
Floor Fourteen
[Nanako can be found poking around here, curious to see if there's any games she's familiar with from home. No dice, of course, but that wasn't going to stop her from taking a break if someone came in, wanting to play something with her.]
Floor Twenty-Five
[Nanako likes this floor, but then again, so do a lot of people it seems.]
[She can be found sprawled out here, taking a break from her exploring to relax and enjoy the nice weather. There needs to be more floors like this.]
Floor Twenty-Eight
[Nanako is sitting at one of the pianos on this floor, looking over the keys. She hadn't had the chance to take lessons yet at home, though she really wanted to... After all, she had vague memories of her mom playing the piano when she was really young.]
[After a moment, the piano started playing by itself, and she nearly jumped clear out of her skin. But once she got over her surprise, she started swinging her legs back and forth on the stool, a smile working its way onto her face as she listened.]
Floor Fifty-Four
[Oh boy, it was only a matter of time before Nanako stepped out on a "bad" floor, though she couldn't see why her big brother warned her away from this one. The dolls were very pretty, even if they were a little creepy like this. Would it be wrong for her to take one...? It would be nice to have something to curl up next to at night...]
Floor Seventy-Seven
[It's awhile before Nanako steps off the stairs again; a lot of the other floors seemed really creepy, and she didn't trust them. This one, however? This one looked like it was straight out of the Amagi Inn!]
[...so of course, she was going to take a break and enjoy a bath. Hey, girls need these things every now and then... or at least, she's pretty sure that's what Rise would say.]
Floor Eighty-Four
[Best. Floor. Ever.]
[Nanako ends up spending a lot of time on this floor having fun with the various blocks. Even if you miss her, you'll see her handiwork if you manage to get there before end of day. In fact, one of her little statues may just look like a cartoon-ish head of a certain bowlcut...]
Floor One Hundred and One
[Nanako's really tired by the time she makes it up here... so it's okay for her to take a nap here, right? After all, it reminds her a lot of the Heaven that had been in the TV... you know, with out the scary monsters. It's... really peaceful, and the elevator's there... she should be safe.]
[Right?]

[Right?]

Are you sick too, Ken-kun?
no subject
No. But the people I think of as my big brothers and my big sister are. I don't think there's... anything I can do to help them.
[He swallowed, trying to keep his throat from being so scratchy.]
I want to, but I don't know if I can. I... if someone is dying, some... sometimes there's not anything you can... d... do...
[Ken pulled Nanako close, gently, and rested his head on her shoulder, doing his best to stop from crying.]
no subject
...it'll be okay, Ken-kun. We'll find a way.
[Yeah, "we"; she'll find a way to help his friends too.]
no subject
[It's okay to cry, right? He knows he'll find a way - they'll find a way - but it still hurts to think of. He pulls away a little and wipes his face with his sleeve.]
S... sorry for crying on you.
no subject
Mm... it's okay. Everyone needs to cry sometimes, Ken-kun.
[She gave him a tight hug, like she was trying to squeeze confidence and courage into him. After all, if they were still around ten years from now and fighting together, he had to get it from somewhere, right?]
no subject
Let's go. We don't want to get caught out here when it starts getting night.
no subject
[Nanako gave his hand an encouraging squeeze, before heading off alongside him, excited now.]
