Summary: After these shenanigans Nesir is badly injured and very angry. In the name of soul protection she continues on, and then goes screw it and gets drunk. Then with all of that out of her system she steps up her training
Warnings: Underaged drinking, underaged drunken knife throwing, death, convoluted arguments on the nature of good and evil. Also in all but the last prompt Nesir is furious and may attack

[Gymnasium] Once Nesir left Ryoji and the others she did her best to avoid everyone. She hurt, her skin was blistered, her shoulders badly burnt. Walking was painful, sitting more so, lying down was impossible. She hid in the emptiness and continued on. Going through knife forms, trying to stay awake, avoiding people. She told herself that pain was just something to be overcome, giving into it was weakness. Lessons she had learned young.

Anger was kept at bay as well, pushed to one side, ignored. She refused to acknowledge it. Ryoji was an idiot end of story. The pain didn't make ignoring the anger easier and she grasped to the emptiness, trying to keep everything at bay.

[Restaurant] She kept it up for two days, but this place, everything that had happened. It was getting to her and if she was being honest, she had been near snapping for a long time.

She didn't do what she wanted to, what she wanted to do was storm through the tower killing everyone she saw, hurting them, destroying them just for being light followers, just for daring to attempt to bring light to the world. But that would make her as bad as they were. And it would be playing into their captors hands. Exactly what she had warned Richtofen against.

So instead, when the pain and anger got too much for even Nesir to bear she went up to the resteraunt, she hadn't been there since robbing them back in December. But all the alcohol she had found and shared with the others had been destroyed in the crazy weather. And this was better than letting herself give in to what those that held them wanted.

Once she had had a few drinks she dropped the emptiness, letting all the pain she felt rush into her, be numbed by the alcohol.

She hated Ryoji so much, it would have been one thing if they had met normally in the tower, she had known he was an light addled idiot from day one. But she had met him on a mission, she had thought he was of the shadow. And so she had allowed herself to like him, he wasn't overly powerful like Ganondorf, nor aloof like Sephiroth. Close enough to her age. And he had betrayed them. She had been an idiot for even thinking she could trust him.

And Ganondorf had known. He knew everything. He could have warned them. She downed another glass of whatever this was that she was drinking.

[Forest floor 6] Nesir threw a dagger at the tree, it wasn't accurate at all. She was still drunk and still angry. But not drunk enough that she hadn't figured that going back to her room in this mood was a bad idea. She threw another dagger before going to collect it. She might have been pretending the trees were Tohko, and she might just be hoping that some monster or other came out to play.

[Room 2-01] The next morning she didn't even bother getting out of bed. Her head pounded but it had been worth it. She knew what was coming and she merely gritted her teeth when the pain started. She had at least drank enough that it would be a quick death and not just days with more missing limbs.

She couldn't even make herself feel bad if one of her roommates was witnessing this.

[Library] Once the sleep paralysis had worn off the next day Nesir's mind was clear. She was angry with herself for giving in, for letting her soul be recycled again. But the pain was gone and with it a chunk of the anger. What did she care what some stupid light addled idiot thought or felt. She had bigger problems and better things to think about.

She got dressed and figured out what she was going to do. She needed to step up her training, not just her fighting. There was something she hadn't done since she came to the tower. She headed to the library, finding a quiet corner and some paper.

Her writing was appalling, once she had had a neat hand. Once she could forge letters with skill. A priestess at the temple had taught her, under the guise of teaching her scribing skills. It was skill she had lost with her fingers and she had only just been learning to write with her left hand when the world had ended. But she hated to lose a skill and her writing needed improvement anyways, she hated the spidery scrawl she produced now and so picking up the pen awkwardly in her left hand she began to practice, opening a book at random and beginning to copy the words there.

[She glared at him, hating him for knowing her that well.] People do be stupid, that do be all you do be needing to be knowing.

[He's getting the feeling he will require large reserves of time and patience to work through his conversation.] That's not exactly anything new... ?

[culbutiri]

Well they do be being more stupid than usual. [She turns her head slightly away from him, still sulking, but it will be enough for him to see the blisters rising up her neck.]

[altitonant_emperor]

Sulking is unbecoming of most, you are aware. [He muttered lightly and ponders that for a moment, racking his recollections for any incident of particularly noticeable stupidity in the Tower lately. Lancer's behavior, Diarmuid's, Sephiroth's freezing during the winter period of the bad weather event all counted... Aa, and there was a few more frequent displays of ego or haplessness recently on the network as well. Like that Doom or Ganon character and that oddly familiar kid with the yellow scarf who admitted to coordinating with a group who had entered the elevator, and judging from the comments, were far from the savory of bunches.

But his thoughts get sidetracked when his dark gray eyes glimpse the blistering on her skin.] Nesir, your neck?

[culbutiri]

[Her sulking look turned to a glare as she attempted to pull her cloak higher up to hide the blisters, if he was looking carefully though he would see similar ones on her wrists and arms.]

[altitonant_emperor]

[He is indeed looking carefully because he feels weirdly amiable towards her and her continued wellbeing, and just. Why this, Nesir. Ignoring that venomous glaring and the possible increasing risk of being stabbed, he shoved the bottles under the table out of reach and got up from his chair.] Not just your neck...

What the hell happened? Were you attacked?

[culbutiri]

[She stood as well, not wanting him to have any advantage. She liked him but that didn't mean she trusted him. She wabbled as she glared at him.] Knives do no be being very affective against magic.

[altitonant_emperor]

[He's not jumping to hasty assumptions about this, just barely. And yes, he knows the pains of being an unenhanced knife-user himself when it comes to fending off the assault of combative magic. Hidetoshi doesn't approach any closer and stands there for a long moment, watching her teeter on her feet.

Finally, he sighed. She wasn't going to be open about this;] Will they heal?

[Couldn't be sure with things like magic in this Tower.]

[culbutiri]

[Okay standing. Standing was a bad idea. Standing made her feel sick. She pointed a knife in Hidetoshi's direction, because it was all his fault.] Do you be caring?

[altitonant_emperor]

[He wasn't going to chance sitting down with a sharp knife point in his direction and would truly prefer it if Nesir sat down. Please sit down.] Yes. I find it dissatisfying to discover you unwell.

[Why did she think he was in this stinky bar? Because he liked the arrangement of decorations on the mantle?] Especially since drinking will not be an improvement on your health.

[culbutiri]

[She scoffed, trying to work out what he wanted. Because there was no way he actually cared, she was just the kid who demanded theories from him.

However her mind was fuggy and floaty and she couldn't think, so she just waved her dagger at him again.] It do be stopping the pain... so I do no be complaining

[altitonant_emperor]

[It's called having a sense of common human decency. When you encounter an acquaintance or peer who seems to be making an honest attempt at drinking herself to death, you are supposed to care.

Stop waving the pointy sharp object around please! Hidetoshi has faced down killer wolves and tentacle monsters since he arrived here, so he doesn't back away.] Show a little more concern for your own health. The numbness is simply temporary. What are you in pain from?

[culbutiri]

The stupidity of people. [She reached out shakily to grab another bottle, gesturing with her knife to illustrate her point.]

Everything do be being temporary here.

[altitonant_emperor]

I am asking for a specific event of stupidity on a member of the populaces' part then. [He nags probingly.]

Drinking will do nothing to help that.

[culbutiri]

The person who did be attacking me with magic for no reason. That did be very stupid.

[altitonant_emperor]

An unprovoked assault? [But Nesir didn't react to being attacked like that, not with drinking. At least, she have never behaved as if physical harm daunted her. So he had to assume it wasn't the actual magical attack that bothered her; it must have been the situation she had been placed in itself.

He knew no details so... Clarifying;] Someone you knew, or a stranger?

[culbutiri]

Pretty much, and I did be knowing them, but we do no be getting on very well.

But they did be jumping to all the wrong conclusions and attacking me when I did no be doing nothing, and she do be thinking I do be being in the wrong. I do be hating stupid people.

[altitonant_emperor]

I see.

[So it was that kind of situation, plenty of which he had witnessed occurring in the halls of his own high school even if it was on a different scale. How extremely trying.] Hastily made conclusions tend to breed discord and misunderstandings. Your anger is understandable.

[Hidetoshi knows from bitter experience.] People with no common sense are tiresome even when they're not attacking you pointlessly, aren't they?

[culbutiri]

[Of course it was understandable, she didn't need him to justify it, but she nodded, waving her dagger at him some more.] People with no common sense do be being the worst. And people who do be hypocrites, they do be stupid too.

[altitonant_emperor]

[He is considering how to persuade her to put the knife away and escort her to her dormitory to sleep it off without getting stabbed.] They are annoying. And it's easy for actions to come off as hypocrisy if they don't stop to think about why they are behaving like that.

[culbutiri]

It do be hypocrisy and they should just be no... no talking to anyone and staying away from non stupid people.

[Drunken Nesir has the best ideas]

[altitonant_emperor]

[Uh-huh. Let's pretend he's secretly kicked away the bottles he's stolen away from the table.]

Maybe in an ideal world. [A pause. Carefully, trying to lessen the chances of having knives stabbed into his guts;] Nesir, would you object to me requesting I escort you back to your room? You must be nearly out of any bottles to drink by now.

[culbutiri]

[She looked around. Surely she had more than that. She waved a knife at him] Did you be taking them? Why would I be wanting to go back, I do be fine. [Stepping closer, to search him for bottles.]

[altitonant_emperor]

[Hahah, if searched, you will find no bottles on him. And stop waving that knife around! He steadies his voice, speaking firmly to convince her.] No, you are not fine. You've drunk nearly all of these bottles and it would be for the best if you went and slept it off in your room.

[Annd taking a step back, continuing to argue.] You're having trouble standing, Nesir, that is a sigh you need to stop.

[culbutiri]

And I can be drinking the rest of them if I do be wanting to be. You do no be my boss. [More stumbling and dagger waving] I can be standing just fine.
