003 | ❝Just Wondering...❞

Characters: [OU] Riku Replica and anyone!
Setting: Dorm 2-14 (Roommates only), Option 1: Floor 3, option 2: Night, anywhere
Format: Starting in action, but I'll match you to the best of my ability.
Summary: Rep is surfacing from lying low after certain events and kind of tired of a few certain someones hounding him to get a name already.
Warnings: None currently.

[It had been some time since the events in the Dark World, the Illusionary Room especially. Self-preservation wasn't really something he had normally, but being continually harrassed by people who just didn't get it was something he'd rather avoid. Especially after what he can remember clearly from before this place.

...Which is probably why he is still so quick to try and leave even the dorm room again, considering at least one of his roommates is likely still less-than-pleased and he really doesn't have the patience. But then, his luck stats are in the negative.]

Option 1 - Floor 3

[After one rather short corridor trip and getting his foot stuck in a wall a total of zero times (it's a new feat, okay), he made his way to the library with only one thought in mind: find something on names. Not many he knew from home were good at naming things, so like he was going to ask them or even bring it up. Especially after he refused to pick one before.

This was something he should do on his own. Which is why he picked a book from the shelves and quietly started flipping through the pages.]

Option 2 - Anywhere, night!

[...At least until the metaphorical sun goes down. Instead he's out in the dark, just practicing magic at first. It didn't come as naturally as darkness, which is probably why even the sparks he makes is laced with it. But hey, it gets the job done. He just hopes he can lure monsters into a trap and see how they like being sliced by two blades instead of one. Creating secondary weapons from darkness was fun.]

[The library is a place of solace and peace for Sora. So of course he'd be here eventually. And when he's looking for a book, it's pure chance he comes across the Replica. ...And mistakes him for Riku.]

Hey, Riku! What'cha reading?

[ASDFGHJKL; Sora. Sora, no. Sora no that's bad.]

...Not Riku. [Be glad this is a ~*~library~*~... or that likely would have been a little loud.] ...and nothing, really.

[Sorry Sora, he is now hiding the book. NOPE NOT TRUSTING YOU WHEN THE ONE HE KNOWS WANTED TO NAME A RAFT EXCALIBUR ~~and not the one that's going to California~~.]

Oh. You look like him. So I just assumed. Sorry. Who are you, then? I'm Sora.

[Hey, he's totally good at naming things! King and Rolly and Kairi!]

[ Data was going through his usual security duties in the libraries when he spotted Repliku picking a book up and starting to flip through the page. By the look of it, that looked like a poor way to obtain information, so obviously the android would walk to him. ]

Good morning. Are you looking for information?

[~~Well, negative luck stats run in the family(?), so no surprise there.~~

Oh, you bet he is less than pleased. You bet, he is waiting for a chance to get some straight answers for a change. Though hey... to his credit, he's left the Replica alone until now so he can recover somewhat from things. Because he is that nice. Or well... because the Replica is more likely to answer his questions when he isn't quite as post-battle-wound-up. It might be both, it might be just latter, who knows.

Either way, the next time the Replica enters the room, Riku will step out of the door's blind spot, arms crossing over his chest as he leans back against the door. So much for quick exits.

And don't you even dare to think about making a Corridor to get out; this is long over-due. ~~Riku will tie him to a chair, if he has to.~~

He doesn't do anything, but regard his Replica with mildly irritated glance and a raised eyebrow; if the other wants the chance to start this off, he's got it now. It's not like Riku's message is all that subtle anyways; especially to anyone who happens to know him.

'Care to explain yourself?']

I know. [He's met one of you out there, somewhere.] ...I'm no one. Just an old pet project.

[...This is telling him it is the opposite. Just saying.]

Everyone's someone, even if they think they aren't. I mean, I couldn't be talking to you if you were no one.

[Sora used Sora Logic! Is it super effective?]

Morning, Data. [He'd ask more on the small talk were it his style, but wasn't he supposed to be working?] ...Just looking for something in particular.

[~~Dude, he inherited it from you; of course it runs in the family(?).~~

And this is exactly why, were he more of the cursing type, he would be swearing under his breath at the fact that unless he slept in this room one night a week, he would die and give Jason free reign to mess with the one thing that was his. Nope. Nnnnnnope.

So when the door closes and he senses that very similar and particular darkness just a tad too belated, there is only one thought that would go through his mind-

His first instinct is to definitely Corridor his way the hell out of here, because he knows he is cornered and he knows that if something is leaked that the others don't want discovered, well... he knows what happened to Ryoji. And vaguely what happened with some idiot he never met. Yet he knows that glare; it's the glare they all have that they are so done with this shit and if someone doesn't explain it will be worse.

So instead, he simply rolls his eyes.]

...You think I'm dumb enough to talk even in here.

[Y e a h, he might be aware of the "walls have ears" thing, but. At least he isn't completely adverse to talking? ~~so very less worse than running into axel or ienzo ok~~]

[...Yep. Definitely Sora. Even though this one reeks of darkness. No seriously!]

...I'd say fair enough, but I have no name to give you.

So make one up! Then it's yours and no one can take it away from you!

[Also, he's now beginning to search the shelves.]

[Katsuya is reading.

It doesn't really matter what he's reading. Books of recipes, folk tales, how to fix a motorcycle, as long as he's learning something then his mind has something to focus on.

Though, it can easily be put aside at the appearance of someone Katsuya knows.]

[Usually while traveling the Tower, Avenger dematerializes. It's quicker and more effective in conserving prana in the long run.

So when he walks across the empty field in the dead of night, the Servant is not immediately visible as he observes the guy unexpectedly practicing magic and shooting off sparks of dark prana, curious.

After a bit of silent watching, he exited the spiritual mode and called out;]

Hey, what's up?

[Elena is a bit of a regular at the library, from picking books for pleasure reading for when its late at night and she can't sleep and doesn't have the drive to read anything serious to looking for books that hold information that would help her survive the Tower. Anything to try and keep her mind busy on everything that's happened over the last several weeks.

But there's nothing that's begging her attention or catching her eye and, as she rounds a corner, catches sight of the silver-headed youth that looks a little familiar. Her steps are cautious and slow, hands visible to ensure he doesn't take her as a threat.]

Excuse me, but...haven't I seen you before?

[He's done with it, indeed and he is not going to take any excuses either.

He still isn't saying anything at that, though he certainly is picking out the "not entirely against talking"-bit of that statement. Well, in that case...

A moment later he's unfolded his arms and summoned Way to the Dawn, taking a step forward before pointing it back at the door - only dismissing it when the gleam of sealing magic has settled and he can see the faint gleam of a golden keyhole. Hopefully, Data and Yosuke wouldn't get back for a while yet. (If they do... well, bad luck. He's not unlocking the room until he has his answers.)

Now. Nobody can get into the room, nobody is getting out either. Unless they start shouting, nobody is going to hear anything. Talk.]

[...Yeah, he may or may not have instinctively jumped back a bit at that. Real thing. Real thing, that's rude.And yet, he smirks just a little bit ~~the smirk of the kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar~~.]

Still mad, huh.

[He shrugs. To be honest, he doesn't really know what to say, and even if he did... it was his choice to help the bad guy this one instance.]

Come on, do you really think I'd actually side with someone who reeks of the dark? [Might as well ease that bit?] ... I was cornered after Dax's end because I was the only one who wasn't worried about the wedding more than what the admins are doing.

[...Real Thing, say something so he knows how much else he has to say.]

[Well... he isn't exactly mad. Very irritated by the whole mess, yes. But not mad. Yet. Far be it from him to correct that assumption though, especially if it gets the other to start talking.

He settles back against the door again, arms crossing as he keeps his eyes trained on the Replica.

So far he's not exact known what to think, had wondered a lot just how the other had gotten caught up in that position, just how he had missed it happening...

He's heard about Ruana showing at the wedding and in retrospect he is kicking himself for not being there - he should have gone regardless of his personal feelings towards the groom - but well... What's done is done.

He can only try his best to find out the events down to the last detail and make sure that there won't be a repeat of that. ~~Next wedding he's not invited to? You bet, he'll be going. 8|~~]

Tell me what happened. All of it. Start at the wedding.

[Yes, this is not a request, he is prepared to be here for a while and he won't let you go until he's satisfied with the answers he's gotten.]

[Same difference in his book. Shaking his head, he stays as far away from the walls as he can ~~aw yeah crashing weddings together~~.]

I went to make sure no one messed with a few who attended. [More like one, but he wasn't about to let his weakness be so blatant.] Everything seemed fine, if not a little uneasy with two of the admins there. But just as the vows ended, Ganondorf stood up and tried to curse Ruana and Zo, not caring if there were innocents caught in the crossfire. Of course, Zo blocked that like he blocked that other "admin's" attacks. He went on a tirade, and while I didn't agree [Stressing that point.] --I think he was right about how the worlds are destroyed.

[He pauses for a moment there. Remember how he disappeared for two weeks? ...Yeeeaaah. There's a reason he seems agitated--]

Someone began to defend the admins, denying that his world was dead. I wouldn't have any of it.

[--Because he found Namine and Sora there. Dead where he left them. Also Riku and Axel, but he didn't care about the latter of the four.]

[Pft, he won't want to see Riku mad; it's not pretty. Really. He should be glad he's only got irritated. ~~/bro(?)fist?~~

He only nods mutely - he's had his own trip home for a month already after all and well... any assumptions he had made about the impossibility of all the worlds being destroyed until that point had been thoroughly shattered from that point onwards. As untrustworthy as the admins may be... the worlds are gone. That much is fact.

He closes his eyes and sighs quietly, shaking his head - don't get him wrong, he understands blowing up on whoever that had been, but...]

Not everyone gets sent back to see it. In some cases that's a good thing.

[Certainly not in this one, because well... anyone who thinks the administrators need defending is an idiot and probably needs the reality check. But well, that's not exactly who is thinking about. Some need to keep believing that the worlds still exist so they can have hope to return there.

Riku himself doesn't. He holds his hopes elsewhere.

Anyways. Go on with your story!]

[He knows what he's like when mad enough to know ok. ~~reluctant...bro...fist~~

Also screw that naivety when someone very dark and very powerful is taunting a large group. There's enough stupidity in this tower as it is. Especially with all that's happened in the short time he's been here.]

Maybe, but it wasn't this time. [Because it ended up with Ganon singling him out. Though... maybe he should thank that naive fool.] Didn't run into him again until after Axel's "twin" disappeared and Dax was killed. He asked if I'd like to help out with a distraction, and when I found out who was going to be thrown in... how could I say no?

[Y e a h . . . Not naming names, but the list of people he knows and commonalities in the lists of who attended and who was tossed into the Dark World was a bit short...

Watching a mad scientist die a painful death was icing on the shitty circumstance cake.]

[And this is the third time today he's come across someone he recognizes while trying to find something on his own.Though at least he's fine with this one. Heck, for a half a second, he doesn't seem nearly as angry or jumpy as he normally is.]

...Hey. [It doesn't mean it's any less awkward, much less for the last time they ran into each other. Or he's any less focused on the pages in front of him.]

May I ask what you're reading?

[Not 'what are you reading' - the difference is subtle but present.]

[He'd really only come to read up a bit more on guitar styles and playing, but Yosuke can't help but notice his roomie looking pretty intense as he leafs through a book. The two don't exactly have the closest relationship, but he can't help but feel it's best to keep things at the very least cordial]

[So Yosuke gives a casual wave from his own seat in the library]

Hey! I didn't really have you pegged as the bookish type.

That was the plan. [Wait-] ...What are you doing?

[Rep shrugs. Sure, he could ask. Didn't exactly mean he'd answer--ok no.

He lifts it up just slightly, making the cover a little easier to see. A book on names?]
