Setting: Big Library + branches out depending on what the teachers want to do with the lessons. Note that the library is only a starting point so feel free to take it beyond the library!

Summary: Ishtar sets up the program that Hei wanted to set up for a while, but he was feeling unwell, so she took over.
Warnings: TBA

[ As promised. In the library, there were signs giving off the subjects of the teachers and what they were teaching along with the name of the teachers. Ishtar tried her best to organize it so that the hug library was of good use. She spaced the areas off so that there weren't too many noises coming from one professor, and she even made sure to provide them information if they so need it.

She stretches a bit and prepared herself for what will happen next. She knew Hei was a lot better at this than she was, but she did her best. She hoped it would work out. ]

Mathematics, something Ishtar sucked at but probably would like to get better at. She sighed. Even though, this all was organized, she realized she should also be trying to find classes that would suit her interests, or needs.

"....Hey," she greeted the other person. This felt strangely awkward because he didn't look all that much older than her.

"Hello." He smiled back, "Are you interesting in maths?" She seemed about the same age as him but he supposed that didn't matter, people knew different things and came from different worlds, so even someone younger could be an expert on something.

"Yeah, I figured I should probably learn it again," she replied rubbing the back of her head as she laughed nervously. She knew that appearance wasn't everything. She was sure this guy was probably ten times smarter than her. After all, she didn't get much schooling for the last four years she spent outside of her world. Three in Facility and almost one year here in Animus.

"It's useful. Mostly. Though it contains rules that can probably be broken here." He shrugged, "What do you know already? Have you had any schooling?"

"There's a lot of things that are broken in these kinds of places, especially when there are rules that you can't usually break," she nodded her head in agreement, "Well, I know the basic stuff, it's not fancy but I can at least add and subtract and multiply/divide things. I think it gets harder when I'm trying to do complicated stuff," she replied trying to remember what she knew.

"I had private tutors but I usually kind of ditched those classes.. a lot."

Suzaku nodded, "I haven't had that much formal education myself, but I was a soldier and sort of an engineer. So I learned a lot of maths through that.

Is there anything particular you want to learn, anything you were confused about in your lessons?"

"Ah, I see. That's interesting. You don't look all that old either. I wish I could accumulate knowledge like that haah."

She laughed nervously rubbing the back of her head, "Well, if it's not too difficult, can we start from square one. I'm not sure where I stumped at."

"I'm nineteen." Suzaku told her, "And I don't really know that much... but hopefully I can help you." He had gathered some paper and pens, "You said that you knew how to multiply and divide already, can you do so when the numbers are in the hundreds or even thousands."

"Nineteen only?" she seemed a little more shocked at the age, but immedaitely recovered, "I'm the same age!"

At least, it was nice to know someone else tha twas the same age as her.

"I'm pretty sure what you know would help me out tons, since I'm not really all that great with this stuff," she replied nodding her head.

"Yeah, I do, and uh, well depends on how big the number is I guess? I'd probably spend more time trying to figure it out but it shouldn't be all that hard?"

He nodded, surprised at her shock, but not mentioning it.

"Alright then, let's try these for starters." He turned around a piece of paper he had written some sums on.

It wasn't everyday that you met someone your age. Ishtar was just a little too excited.

"Oh, okay," she nodded her head and watched as he pulled a piece of paper out. Ishtar stared at the numbers and then started to solve it. Unfortunately, she wasn't really fast at it so it took her a while until she finally wrote the answers onto the paper, followed by a lot of scrunched up faces while she wrote the answers.

Suzaku was patient, looking through some of the books he had gathered on the subject so she wouldn't feel pressured or that he was staring at her.

When she was done he looked at them nodding at the first two.

"They are correct... the third..." He frowned and did a quick calculation himself. "Is also correct, I meant it the other way round but I'm sorry I didn't make myself clearer."

Ishtar wasn't too sure about her answers, but she tried right? It was an honest mistake if something wasn't right. She only sheepishly looked at him as she waited for his answer.

"....Eh..?" she stared at the third one, "Ohhh, hahah, well I can try that too if you uhhhh want me to?" she replied rubbing the back of her head, "I guess I wasn't paying attention, hehe."

"If you want, though the way you did it was more complicated and you've managed that fine."

"Did I really do something complicated, right?" she mused seemingly surprised by the results. Okay, so her basic math skills aren't too bad. She laughed a little.

"I guess I should...? You're the teacher," she replied turning it to him but kind of smiling nervously.

"You did." He nodded, and then blinked. He supposed he was the teacher, as badly as he was doing.

"Very well... try it the other way round and then we will move on."

"That's pretty neat!" She chimed, seemingly happy with the fact that she scored well on something this simple. The little things always got to her.

"Okay, I'll definietly try that now."

Ishtar scrunched her brows together and attempted to do the problem the other way around.

Ishtar stared at him, "Only cuz this part is probably what I could only remember. S'long as nothing super complicated comes up, I think I might be okay?" she replied with a nervous laugh.

No really, she sucked at this.

He nodded, "You are doing well so far. What can you tell me about Pythagoras, was he a mathematician known on your world?"

"Eh... Pythagor--what?" Ishtar gave him a blank stare. That pretty much answered his question.

"He was a Greek mathematician, I'm not sure if that is a country that exists in your world, his theory is about triangles."

[xroyal_bratx]

"I'm not sure if it does either. I'm not really good with geography," she mused softly rubbing the side o fher head again, "Theory about triangles? What is that?"

[swordofzero]

"I guess it doesn't matter when we all come from different worlds, I know my knowledge of geography is very different than others."

He drew a right angled triangle. "You probably already know the theory, even if you didn't know it was an actual theory to begin with. If we say the diagonal line is C and the two other lines are A and B, we can say that if we square A and B then we find the Square of C, and therefore the length."

"Oh, okay," she nodded her head.

"Uhm...kind of. I might have heard of that somewhere," she nodded her head trying to understand what he was saying to her. Most of it sounded really foreign and the rest she barely caught.

"...Can you explain that to me one more time?" she mused giving him a lost look.
