Time to get working!

Characters: Ishtar (AU1) and All the teachers/interested students that want to learn!
Setting: Big Library + branches out depending on what the teachers want to do with the lessons. Note that the library is only a starting point so feel free to take it beyond the library!
Format: Up to You
Summary: Ishtar sets up the program that Hei wanted to set up for a while, but he was feeling unwell, so she took over.
Warnings: TBA

[ As promised. In the library, there were signs giving off the subjects of the teachers and what they were teaching along with the name of the teachers. Ishtar tried her best to organize it so that the hug library was of good use. She spaced the areas off so that there weren't too many noises coming from one professor, and she even made sure to provide them information if they so need it.

She stretches a bit and prepared herself for what will happen next. She knew Hei was a lot better at this than she was, but she did her best. She hoped it would work out. ]

[ ooc: general mingle log for the teachers that volunteered for Hei's Teaching Program/School Program. For those who volunteered, there's a spread sheet provided here and for new teachers interested, just sign up at post here. Once you sign up go ahead and tag your subject line, or if it's not there feel free to create the subject like etc. For organizational purposes, I will link the specific threads later when they become too hard to find. Enjoy and I hope everyone has a blast. If any other questions needed, feel free to direct them to me or Final! ]

But no one do be living on them right? They do no be like earth.
lightofhumanity: For when chaos is feeling melancholy. (pondering)

[personal profile] lightofhumanity 2013-04-12 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
..People may have lived on them at one time in my universe, but they do not anymore.
culbutiri: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] culbutiri 2013-04-12 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Why do they be no living there no more?
lightofhumanity: For when chaos is feeling melancholy. (sad)

[personal profile] lightofhumanity 2013-04-12 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Because, in my universe, people moved away from those places, wanting to expand.
culbutiri: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] culbutiri 2013-04-13 12:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Did there be too many of them to be living there any more?
lightofhumanity: For when chaos is sorry. (apologetic)

[personal profile] lightofhumanity 2013-04-13 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
No..it was the fact that those planets were not good for inhabiting. Humanity stayed up in the stars for a good while before they learned how to make rocky planets liveable.
culbutiri: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] culbutiri 2013-04-14 08:46 am (UTC)(link)
So did there be no humans on earth before the ones from the stars did be getting there?
lightofhumanity: For when chaos is feeling melancholy. (pondering)

[personal profile] lightofhumanity 2013-04-14 01:46 pm (UTC)(link)
...In my universe, all humans migrated from Earth to the stars. So, there weren't any humans on Earth when they moved.
culbutiri: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] culbutiri 2013-04-15 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
Didn't they already be knowing their place among the stars then, those philosophers, if they had been coming from there already?
lightofhumanity: For when chaos is happy. (Default)

[personal profile] lightofhumanity 2013-04-15 08:28 am (UTC)(link)
These philosophers lived on Earth. Humanity's migration to the stars started long after they were dead. While the philosophers worked out the movements of the heavenly bodies and knew about the solar system, they did not know everything about space.
culbutiri: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] culbutiri 2013-04-15 10:11 am (UTC)(link)
I thought you did be saying they did be coming from the stars to the earth and there did be no people on earth first.
lightofhumanity: For when chaos is serious. (serious)

[personal profile] lightofhumanity 2013-04-15 03:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I said that Earth was Humanity's birthplace, their point of origin. They may have moved to the stars, but they did not do so instantly. It only happened after a long period of time had passed.
culbutiri: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] culbutiri 2013-04-15 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
So they did be on earth, then they did all be leaving, then they did be going back?
lightofhumanity: For when chaos is feeling melancholy. (pondering)

[personal profile] lightofhumanity 2013-04-15 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
No. They could not, for they had forgotten where Earth was.

[And Earth was destroyed.]
culbutiri: (well then...)

[personal profile] culbutiri 2013-04-16 07:59 am (UTC)(link)
Well that did be being stupid of them.
lightofhumanity: For when chaos is sorry. (apologetic)

[personal profile] lightofhumanity 2013-04-16 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Possibly..but records got lost, over time. Wars, fighting, and time caught up with the accounts, and eventually, people forgot. It did not help that humanity moved far away from Earth eventually.
culbutiri: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] culbutiri 2013-04-17 09:18 am (UTC)(link)
Right. [She nodded] But these philosophers they did no be knowing about other planets yet.
lightofhumanity: For when chaos is feeling melancholy. (pondering)

[personal profile] lightofhumanity 2013-04-17 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
They knew about a few, but their understanding was limited, since they did not understand much about the world.
culbutiri: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] culbutiri 2013-04-17 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Which was why they did be trying to learn yes?
lightofhumanity: For when chaos is sorry. (apologetic)

[personal profile] lightofhumanity 2013-04-18 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. Which brings us back into the lesson. As philosophy kept going a little, people started thinking about what the universe was made out of. Out of curiosity, what do you think they thought it was made of?
culbutiri: (quiet thoughts)

[personal profile] culbutiri 2013-04-18 06:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Rock, fire, water and air. [Unless they were stupid, then she had no idea what they thought. It wasn't like it was difficult to work out.]
lightofhumanity: For when chaos is happy. (Default)

[personal profile] lightofhumanity 2013-04-18 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[chaos nodded for a moment.]

Good. One of the beginning philosophers, a man named Empedocles, had the same view of the world-that it was made up of earth, air, fire, and water. Other philosophers thought that everything was made up of just one or two elements.

People like Empedocles were called cosmogonists, as they were trying to figure out what the cosmos was made up of.
culbutiri: (quiet thoughts)

[personal profile] culbutiri 2013-04-18 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
What elements did they be thinking the world did be being made of?

At least they did be having Empedocles to be telling them the truth
lightofhumanity: For when chaos is sorry. (apologetic)

[personal profile] lightofhumanity 2013-04-18 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Some thought that only fire built up the world. Others thought that only water did, and one other thought That water and air made up everything..however, while Empedocles made some progress, he two, was ultimately wrong in the end. There are about 118 chemical elements known, and there are still a few being discovered.
culbutiri: (well then...)

[personal profile] culbutiri 2013-04-19 11:00 am (UTC)(link)
No there do be being four... [How on earth could there be one hundred and eighteen elements...]
