"They say you should know you are happier than you realize"

Characters: Link (Skyward Sword) and you!
Setting: Around the Tower!
Format: I'm starting in Action!
Summary: Well guess who's back after about 6 months? He's currently wandering the new floors and looking for any of the other Links or his other friends...
Warnings: Nothing yet!

[Link woke up this morning from a nightmare. He was back at Skyloft, only the island was on the surface below. It had fallen from the sky. The familiar buildings were in ruins, hardly recognizable anymore, and it seemed that he was the only one that survived. He frantically searched for any of his fellow Skyloftians, any at all, and came up to nothing. There weren't even any monsters, or any of the locals in the forest below. He was absolutely alone.

He didn't know how long that dream had lasted, but it felt like an eternity. Even now as he was awake, he could see the destroyed world as clear as day, as if it wasn't all a dream. But it couldn't have been real, could it?

He finally sat up in his bed and looked around the room, his memories of this place surfacing again. This was that Tower he and the others were trapped in... wasn't it? He lifted his hand to his collar, to confirm that he was back. Well, that must mean the time on his destroyed world was just a dream, if he was back here. He stood up and stretched a bit before opening his trunk to change into his green clothes. That was strange though.... there were less items in his trunk than he remembered. He was missing a few of his weapons... but his Master Sword neatly lay at the bottom of his trunk under Zelda's harp, and those two items were really the only things he cared about. Now that he had equipped his sword and tied the harp around his waist, it was time to get something to eat.]

SETTING A. THE HALLWAYS

[Were there always this many stairs? Link did remember there being a remarkable amount of floors in this place, but it seemed like the walk down to the cafeteria was taking a lot longer than usual... maybe it was just a coincidence? You can find Link either walking down the stairs with determination on his face, or you can find him ~~low on stamina~~ practically dragging himself down the stairs near the bottom floors, as if he was tired as fuck but he refused to take a break.]

SETTING B. THE CAFETERIA

[FINALLY he made it! He was so glad to finally be on the bottom floor that he practically skipped over to the food with a great big grin on his face. That is, until he noticed what was for lunch. His grin quickly turned into a disappointed frown and he drug himself over to a chair and sat down, slamming his face onto the table in front of him.

All that walking just to be greeted by those gross nutrition bars........]

SETTING C. ANYWHERE ELSE

[You can find this Link in practically any floor of the Tower! After the disappointing lunch, he decided to walk back up the stairs and figure out why it took so long, and that's when he started to explore all the new floors. So choose this option to make up a scene! It's the free-for-all option!]

SETTING D. I JUST THOUGHT THIS UP THIS IS A GOOD OPTION SHUSH

[After exploring a bit, Link found the Graveyard. Now, most are sad when they find the Graveyard, but Link was actually pretty curious about something....

If you come in, you'll find Link trying to push literally every grave back a bit, as if he was looking for something or maybe he thought the graves were some kind of switch or something...]

[Tohko was used to seeing odd people in the library. That was a common, everyday occurrence. What was not ordinary was the boy in green clothes going through all the book and shaking them, as if he was expecting money to fall out. After watching him for a moment, Tohko sighed and walked over to him.]

Sir, what are you doing? The books will get bent if you're too rough with them.

[He can't help being a curious fellow! In this place, you never know what could be lurking in books... but after the girl came over and scolded him, he closed the book and carefully set it back on the shelf. He turned to face her then, and gave her a bit of a bashful grin.]

Sorry, I was not trying to harm them. [Who was this girl, anyway? He didn't recognize her..]

[Oh, Link, if Tohko had really wanted to scold you, she would have spoken for hours, but..she didn't. She wasn't cruel, after all, and returned the smile that Link gave.]

It's alright..just don't do it again, alright? Shaking books, even gently, usually isn't good for them.

[He nods and bows a bit as if he were apologizing again. Then he straightens up and looks around for a moment.]

This place seems different than the last time I was here, do you know why that is?

[..At that, Tohko sighed and scratched her head.]

..It's probably because you spent quite a long time away from it and, as a consequence, aren't aware of the changes. I'm sorry that you were in your home world though..that must have been horrible.

Ah, really? I thought that was a dream... [He looks a bit sad.]

[Tohko sighed and shook her head. If Link would allow it, she would pat the boy's head.]

I hate to be the bearer of bad news..but it wasn't. I'm so sorry..

[Well she could try, but he's probably a bit taller than her so he'll just kind of stare at her as she reaches up to pat his head.]

That means I have been missing for some time, right?

[..Well, if she failed there, she would just go for a shoulderpat. Why was almost everyone she tried this with taller than her?]

You have. I don't know how long though. When did you first come here?

I don't really remember... the time and days are different here than what I know, and I've never really got used to it.

I see..then could you tell me what experiment you last remember here? Something like that?

Alright.. the last thing that took place here was... [He closes his eyes and thinks for a moment.]

The administrators had taken a number of people from the Tower... and I had decided to trust Ganondorf to break those who were taken out of the administrators grasp. We failed our task though... we couldn't save them and they suffered a lot because of it.

[..That had occurred quite awhile ago. While it was interesting to hear that Ganondorf was behind a good cause, Tohko sighed.]

..That was several months ago. While I'm happy to say that those people are now free, I..I'm sad to say that Ruana has murdered and eaten Dax.

[He blinks a bit, as if it was taking him a few minutes to realize what she just said.]

...I'm sorry, I don't know the administrators by name. Would you mind telling me which one "Ruana" is and which one "Dax" is? [He didn't really get to see much of them while he was around here before...]

[..That actually puzzled Tohko for a moment..but maybe in the past, the Administrators hadn't shown up much.]

..Ruana was the one who ruled over the other Administrators, the only women on the team. And Dax tried to do good for us. His months were free of any experiments.

Oh... I see... So the female killed the only administrator who was good?

Not the only one..there's one other, a boy named Zo. But he's not really in the best position to help us right now.

[Yes he remembered about a boy slightly, but not a lot.]

So our hope is held within a child?

And in ourselves.

[He smiles a bit.]

Yes, in ourselves and each other.

[Except Ganon.]

[Tohko returned the smile and nodded.]

That's true. By the way, who are you?

Link! There are a few other heroes like I named Link here as well, so go ahead and call me Sky, instead.

[Well, that made Tohko pause for a moment..but the smile on her face only grew. So, this was Link! The Hero with The Master Sword!]

Alright then! If you want to be called Sky, I'll call you by that name..but it's great that you're here, since you're the only one with the Master Sword! You can finally defeat Ganon!

You have heard about me? [He looks a bit surprised. And then he thinks about her other statement..]

..What do you mean by "the only one with the Master Sword"? Where are the other Links?

[..Hang on. There were other Links here before?! That was something Tohko didn't know, and it puzzled her a bit.]

Yes..Tetra has told me a bit about you..and there are no other Links here for the moment, except you.

[He looks quite disappointed]

They've all been sent away then... [If Tohko wasn't in front of him right now, he would probably tear up a little.]

There used to be about five other Links besides me, all were able to wield the Master Sword. We're all related to one another, which is why we each share the same name and are able to wield the Master Sword. I am the first Link, and they were my descendants... and upon finding this out, we decided to stick together like family.

I can't believe I am the only one left.

[At that, Tohko sighed and scratched her head. So there were five Links in the past..Ganon must have been much better behaved back then as well..it was horrible that they had all been sent home, for multiple reasons.]

I'm sorry to hear that your family has all been sent back..but hopefully they'll eventually return. Sadly, Ganon had not vanished here.

[Ick, nutribars again. Tetra didn't want to starve though so she was down in the cafeteria, hand wrapped still like Zelda had shown her and looking less out of control than when he had last seen her.

And he probably doesn't spot her before she sees him.]

Sky!

[There's a small child, maybe a bit more grown now, throwing herself towards his arms. All thoughts of crappy meals forgotten.]

[He was taken a bit by surprise as the girl throws herself towards him, but he kneels down a bit to wrap his arms around her.]

Hello, Tetra. [By now, he's figured out that he's been gone for some time, so he knows why she's giving him a sudden hug.

He lets go of her and places a hand on her head with a goofy grin.]

You've grown quite a bit since I had last seen you, haven't you?

[For a moment she just holds on and tries squeezing him so he can understand just how much he's been missed before pulling back to look him over. To him though, she probably looks tired. Several many nights of being too afraid to sleep and not wanting to bother Zelda to sing her to sleep.]

A little bit. It's been really lonely, just me and Zelda. [Completely ignoring Ganon's existence. Yep.]

[Unlike her descendant, Zelda is more hesitant when she sees that green sitting at the table. It's not her Link, she knows that much right off the bat, but it's one she recognizes. The Hero from Skyloft. He's back.

Except...

No. She won't get her hopes up again. It hurt too much when he didn't remember her before - and honestly, what reason does he have to recognize her now? It's been too long. This is probably a different one. But... she needs to talk to him, in any case. Get him acquainted with the Tower before Ganondorf finds him or something equally awful.

Steeling herself, she approaches where the boy of the sky sits.]

Here. These will help with the taste.

[With a carefully neutral expression and tone of voice, she holds out a hand, offering him a few of the berries she has been collecting and hoarding in the kitchen. There's only two or three, though - not enough to get much out of them aside from the sweetness needed to cover up the taste of nutribars.]

[He lifts his head and blinks a few times as he sees Zelda, before a grin spreads across his face. He stands up quickly and before really thinking, gathers her into a big bear hug-- which most likely ended up squishing the berries she was holding. Oops.]

[Not that she's really thinking about that because what. She's... being hugged? But that would only make sense if--]

You... You recognize me?

[So very tense, she trembles just slightly in his arms, afraid to hope. Afraid to think that maybe, just maybe, those dear to her can come back with their memories intact after all.]

Of course I do, Princess Zelda. I remember you, and Sea, and Woods, and Forest, and Tetra, and even Ganondorf. I remember all of you, and I'm very glad to see you remember me as well.

[Those names.

Those ridiculous, silly little nicknames.]

... It has been so long since I have heard those names.

[So why do her eyes begin to water? It's in the past, she's moved on. ... Or so she thought.]

I... I am so glad you remember me, Sky.

[He tightens his hug then, as he could tell by her voice that her eyes were watering a bit.]

I apologize for disappearing as long as I did.

[Unfortunately, she's still in a bit of shock, so it'll take a moment before she can return the hug.]

You could not control it; do not... apologize. [She's just... happy. And that's such a strange thing after all this time. Still, distantly, she can recognize there are matters more important than her feelings about all this.] Are you all right? Are you hurt at all?

[Considering she first met him when he was bleeding out...]

[When Link finally returned to his room in the dormitories, he'd find Ryuunosuke hanging out on the bed, reading a book about unexplained phenomena. He looked up over the top of it at Link's entrance.]

Yo. New guy here?

[There was something to be said about paying your dues to the dead when you yourself were technically one of them. The Graveyard didn't really disturb Fado or anything, and in an odd way, he found it an eerie sort of comforting.

Anyway, that was why he was there at least, though watching Link push around the graves was uh...interesting.]
