[ Floor One Hundred One: Adachi is very much grateful that the elevator services this floor. Despite that, to him it remains one of the remotest areas in the tower. Here, it's quite. Here, he doesn't have that constant pressure of a corrupted Izanagi beating at the inside of his head, for powers don't work. It's almost like some quiet refuge, and Adachi has taken a liking to it. He can be found looking about this forest for any sorts of food or fruit. ]

[ Eventually, he will descend the tower to other floors. ]

[ Floor One Hundred: What is shown in the holograms for him is the police station in Inaba. The holograms don't leave a hollow feeling inside him; how could they, when he is already 'empty'? If your character comes about, you can be sure he'd rather be looking at whatever holograms yours is seeing, and would inquire about it more than anything to do with his own home world. ]

[ Floor Ninety-Nine: As another rather peaceful floor, one would think he could wanders the caverns of crystals without incidence. But. He won't bother wandering for long, as the many reflections of the weary ex-detective will remind him how far he has fallen, and how far he has before redemption can be sought. He doesn't want to think about it. Someone who is also in this cavern may encounter him throwing little slates of crystals over the calm pools, watching the stones skip over the surface of the water. Even the ripples echo here. ]

[ Floor Ninety-Six: After quickly going through the two previous floors (giant pipes and giant monsters, respectfully, Adachi will make it to this floor. Its effects strike at him all too quickly. Soon, he will be forgetting things. This may be his last stop, as he will forget what else he wished to do or explore in the tower. He may be encountered at any stage of forgetting things, from only slightly forgetting your name (if he knows you), to forgetting his own and simply staring at the white chair and table. ]

Floor 99

[seekinganswers]

[The echoing of the bits of crystal on water isn't quite what she's expecting to hear as she explores this floor, so after a few minutes or so Adachi will have some company in the form of a girl peeking out from behind a crystal. She watches him with some curiosity for a few moments before stepping out from behind it.]

How are you doing that?

[He didn't really look like an Adept, but she couldn't think of any way to make stones skip across water like that without Psynergy. The stones were heavier... shouldn't they sink?]

How am I doing wh--

You mean, skipping stones? [ It seems such an odd question to ask. ]

Yes, that. I've never seen someone who's been able to do it [without Psynergy] before. The stones always sank...

[of_emptiness]

[ Cool. This is a chance for him to show off a bit? ] Well, it's called skipping stones. All you need is a flat-like stone to throw. It slides and jumps over the water until it loses momentum, and then it will sink.

That's amazing! How did you find out that it worked? And how many times can you make it skip before it sinks?

I think the most I got was about five times. [ Bragging about stone skipping. OH YEAH. ]

Wow! Really? You must be incredibly skilled!

Well, [ He rubs the back of his head. ] I don't like to brag, but... [ Yes he does. ]

If it's true, it's not bragging - it's just being honest!

Do you think you could show me how to do it, if I found a flat enough stone?

Huh...? [ Really? This kid wants to learn? ] Oh... Yeah! [ He nods. ] I'll be here all day, really.

Floor 99

[Another clip of crystal came from behind him, skipping three times before sinking.] I did be getting six before. [The voice came from a girl who was sat on a rock not far from where he was stood.]

[ Oh we got a badass over here! Suddenly he has the urge to prove that he can get 6 or more... ] You'd need a really flat stone for that.

[She smirked at him] There do be thousand stones, you just have to be finding the right one.

In a cave of crystals, I'd think that'd be easy. [ A shrug. ] Guess I'll have to look some more.

[culbutiri]

[She hopped off her rock and went to stand next to him, passing him a smooth flat crystal.] You could be trying this one.

[of_emptiness]

[ She has quirky way of speaking. He can't quite put his finger on it. In any case, he takes the rock, tossing it up and down to test its weight.] Did you find this just now?

[culbutiri]

It did be up there. [She gestured at the rock she had been sat on.]

[of_emptiness]

Don't mind if I do. [ He throws it out towards the water. It bounces once, twice, three times... and then sinks. ] ...Ah.

[culbutiri]

[She smirked] Almost, you do be needing to be practicing more. [She started hunting for other flat rocks.]

[of_emptiness]

[ Lazily, and somewhat dejected, he stands. ] What...? It was just one time. I'd say that's just bad luck.

[culbutiri]

Do you be thinking so? [She smirked at him] Then be proving it.

Floor 101

*If Adachi can recognize fig trees, there's one here, with movement in its branches. Eventually a fig falls to the ground under it.

Inspection from under the tree shows a tall, muscular man in blue jeans and sandals climbing its branches - all the fruit reachable from ground level has been picked already by someone else.

With a sigh, Enoch makes his way with practiced skill, but some unease, back to the trunk and carefully starts to make his way down. He has a small armload of large-ish figs, around five or six.*

[ Might as well ask, because hey-- like he wants to work hard. ] Are you going to share those...?

*Enoch wasn't expecting to hear someone speak up right behind him without hearing their approach first. But it had been centuries since he'd had to climb a tree for fruit without the help of his superhuman abilities, and he had to focus an unusual amount on the descent.

Which is why Adachi's voice caused him to fall - thankfully, he was close enough to the ground that it was more comical than dangerous, and he dusts off the seat of his jeans with his free hand as he turns to face Adachi.*

Ah...I'm sorry, I didn't notice you. *He takes two figs from the load and offers them to Adachi.* Of course, I wouldn't stockpile fresh fruit for myself to spoil...

Thanks. [ He would laugh. He would. But it's polite not to. Instead, Adachi will take the figs gratefully. ] I wonder why others haven't used this place to find more food. It beats having to eat at the cafeteria day in and day out.

Clearly, they have. There weren't any figs I could reach from the ground. *He starts working on peeling the green covering off one of them.* I'm surprised there were as many as this left in the tree.

You didn't happen to see any other kinds of fruits up there, did you?

I was focused on finding these. I know I've seen palms grow here, but not all palms will bear fruit...

floor 100

[ You'll have a good show watching this hologram here, Adachi. Evatrice is just wandering around on the floor casually, in her schoolgirl outfit even so she looks just like a normal fourteen year old girl rather than an actual witch. But the hologram she's staring at is far from normal - it's one of a large mansion, obviously inhabited by rich people judging from its size and luxury. The weird thing about it though is that some of the place in there are completely covered in blood.

She probably does know Adachi's on the floor too, but for now she doesn't seem to pay him any attention. ]

[ Oh, yes, this girl-- whoever she is-- must have been one of those privileged kids that had been fed with a silver spoon. There's that sense of life's unfair that he'll simply keep a tight lid on, though. But... looking at the blood, he supposes that everything's not as nice as it seems. Of course it isn't. It never is.

He walks about the floor, almost bothering to side-step the spills of blood, but then reminding himself that it doesn't matter because this is simply a hologram. He sends her a wry smile. ] What... happened here?

[blackwitch]

Huh?

[ She looks at him and makes that questioning sound, as if this is the first time she's even acknowledged his very presence. The moment doesn't last long though, since her face twists into a grin soon after. ]

Isn't it obvious? What do you think happened somewhere when there's blood all over like that?

[of_emptiness]

[ It would be too obvious, so that's why he's asking. Also. Wow, she must be crazy, smiling like that.

So. Crazy chick and blood and this hologram shows their own world, so this could very well be her home. ] You killed your family?

[blackwitch]

[ There's a giggle rather than an answer. But judging by how happy (in a somewhat creepy way) it sounds, it's pretty obvious it would mean the same as just plainly saying "yes". ]

We-ll, I guess they're only my family in a way, but.. sure, I killed all of them! Me..! [ A little too proud there. ]

Floor 101

[Adachi wasn't the only one that found this floor comforting. The gardens reminded Nanako of what Heaven was really supposed to be like; pretty and quiet and peaceful, and no dark things around. Well... unless you counted Adachi, but despite how unsure she was about him, he still wasn't as bad as those things.]

Adachi-san?

[ Hey hey, he's trying to be a changed man! What helps is that he has good influences to be so, like Nanako. And hey, he offers her a small smile. ] Nanako... [ beat. ] You came up here by yourself? [ 'Where's Yu' is the question that can be derived from that. ] Well, I guess there aren't any monsters on this floor...

[Nanako nodded, put a bit at ease by the familiar Adachi smile.]

I need to learn to take care of myself here. Onii-chan shouldn't have to look after me all the time.
