Not what I expected [open]
Characters: Samwise Gamgee and you!
Setting: Room 2-04, then dorm halls and staircases heading down the tower
Format: Whatever you wish
Summary: Sam wakes up
Warnings:
[Room 2-04] Sam hadn't thought he would ever open his eyes again, never mind feel a soft bed under him and his first thought was that it had truly all been a dream. Except he tried to move and he couldn't. For a terrifying moment he was stuck unable to even scream.
Then it was over and he sat up, the room was different than anything he had seen before, the clothing he wore clung to him. Had they somehow been rescued? It seemed like it would be an impossible feat, yet here he was. Alive. Somehow no longer on that mountain, and it did really seem possible he had dreamed it all up. Except where was he and where was Frodo?
He looked round the room, a room made for big folk, four beds including the one he had woken up in. "Samwise Gamgee, what have you gotten yourself into this time?"
[Hallways] Later, dressed in the ragged clothes he had found in his trunk he walked the hallways. Still not quite believing that this could be real, there was so much he didn't understand. "Mister Frodo?" He called as he walked, because if he was alive. If he had been saved then surely they had saved Frodo as well.
"Mister Frodo?"
[Staircases] Sam wasn't quite ready to step out onto any of the odd places he could see around them, but carefully continued to walk downwards, wondering how far down this place could go, and what other strange things he would see. He walked carefully, stopping every now and again to shake his head in disbelief at the things he saw.

"What be your name, hobbit? I know one such hobbit called Bilbo Baggins of the Shire."
no subject
"You know master Bilbo?" Sam was soon distracted from worrying about the place they had been brought to.
no subject
"I take it, you know him also?" Thorin looked down at the hobbit with curiosity.
no subject
"You were with master Bilbo on his adventure?" He nodded at the question.

"Are there any others from our lands, do you know? Gandalf, the wizard. He might know how to escape from here, if he found some way of getting inside here."

And another who mentioned Gandalf, Sam did not want to be the one to break the news of the wizards death, but that girl had claimed him still alive and in this place.
What kind of odd place had he been brought to.

He could see the confusion in the hobbit's eyes. "Years? Nay, I am still on said adventure with my company of dwarves and mister Baggins. What evil has betwixt us in this tower? Witchcraft perhaps."
no subject
"I'm Samwise Gamgee."
no subject
"Samwise. Do you hail from the Shire also?"
no subject
Because he could think of no other explanation. "I do, I tended the garden at Bag End, as my Gaffer did before me."
no subject
"Are you a keen gardener than Samwise?" Thorin knew that hobbits valued homely ways such as cooking gardening.

"Aye, you hobbits do keep tidy gardens. Is there even a garden area within this tower since we cannot gain any exit to the outside world." He frowned. Yet. Thorin was determined to feel the warmth of the sun on his face once more.

"Have you ever handled a sword before, Samwise?" He gazed down at the small hobbit and wondered. If he were anything like Bilbo then there wouldn't be much hope in that respect.
