Summary: A pair of vampire hunters wake up in the same room together and explore search for Remilia the one responsible.

[Room 2-17]

[For the residents of 2-17, two new faces were present in the room. The blonde was awake, already dressed with a wide-brimmed black hat on her head, while the dark haired one still slept. At least, she looked asleep.

Thinking the other was asleep, Marisa took the opportunity to start looking through the other trunks in the room. All of three of them.]



[Various Floors (where powers were present)]

[Sometimes these floors had narrow walkways or other passages. For those spending their time in these, there was little warning as two young women - one in black on a broom and one in red floating without style - flew through very quickly as if they were on a mission. And they were, in search of a particular scheming vampire they believed responsible.

Better jump to the side and dodge as they buzzed by or get shoved out of the way. The one in black called back as she passed.]

Learn to graze, ze!

[The one in red nicks the wall on the way by, unused to tight spaces. It sends her into a flip and she lands on her rear and skids across the floor to a stop. Getting up, she turns to confront the obvious troublemaker.]

Seriously, what the hell is your problem?

[Coming to a stop, hovering in the air, the one in black starts laughing at her friend's misfortune.]



[Lounge - 4th Floor]

[Marisa and Reimu were standing in front of the computer terminals. The blonde reached out to poke at the screen, getting close enough for the terminal to flicker on. Startled, she hopped back a bit.]

[Reimu's immediate reaction was to punch the thing out of surprise. She ended up with a bruised knuckle as she cursed in pain.]

Ow! Damn, that was hard.

[It certainly wasn't some kind of wax candle, that's for sure.]

[ Sakura moves to a terminal that doesn't have a hole punched through it, and boots it up. Seems harmless so far. ]

[There's a slight jump from Marisa as the computer comes to life again, but not as much as last time. She then leans forward to get a closer look, putting a hand on Sakura's shoulder and leaning over her (assuming she sits down at the terminal).]

How does it do that?

[ Sakura's kind of at a loss of how to explain it. ]

... Do you know what electricity is?

I think I read something about something called that once. Something like channeled lightning...

That's the general idea.

Um, but, see, the terminal plugs into the wall. [ She points to the plug itself ] That carries Electricity to the terminal. So when I push the on button, it turns on. It works just like a lightbulb would.

[You know, Marisa's just not going to ask what a light bulb was. She didn't want to sound stupid.]

Okay. Is there a library around? Just wondering, ze.

[ Sorry Marisa. It's hard to explain something that you've grown up with. ]

Yes! Though there is a small selection, sadly. And most of the history books are missing.

As long as there are books, ze. I like to read and I have a feeling I'll get bored pretty quickly here.

Hopefully you won't run out. If you do, I suppose you could request some more books from the admins.

They give you stuff if you ask for it? Seems waaaaay too nice for people holding us captive.

Well, they don't always honor your requests, but I think it's worth trying at least.

It could, yes. You'll have to hope that you don't get any cursed magical artefacts or something like that.

Nah, I'm okay with cursed magical artifacts. Those are really interesting. And I need something to research anyways.

But those are dangerous.

So? Magic in general is dangerous. But the more you learn, the more you understand and use magic, the less dangerous it becomes, ze.

Witch, actually. But that does fall under the broad term of magician. So I guess that's a yes.

[She holds her hand out and a star forms in it.]

[ She finds that more offputting than anything. Sakura was taught to keep her magecraft to herself, not flaunt it. ]

This might be hard for you to believe, but I'm a magus as well.

Really?

[The star dissipates and Marisa looks at Sakura, narrowing her eyes a little.]

Ah... yeah... If I really concentrate I can feel it.
