A Hunting in the woods.
Characters: Thorin and OPEN.
Setting: Floor Thirty Two
When: April 13th
Format: Prose
Summary: Thorin is fed up of health bars and the canteen doesn't offer up much for a dwarf king so he is taking to hunting on Floor Thirty Two. He will be looking to gather food and hunt an animal or two. If he can find one.
Warnings: Violence possible gore during hunting.
Thorin had managed to navigate by using the elevator for the first time. The elf, Legolas, had shown him how to work it. For that, he was grateful. His prejudice against the blond elf was rapidly diminishing, due to how helpful he had been. Adjusting his sword on his belt he wanted to see what Floor Thirty Two had to offer. After being told it contained flora and fauna, he couldn't resist a possible hunting trip.
The yearn to hunt and be outside had overpowered Thorin's senses. He was a dwarf. A warrior and hunter. Not some animal within a cage. Feeling the wind on his face as he passed through the doors into the natural landscape, he sighed.
This was worth the long ride on the elevator. He set about gathering wood and sticks to build a fire. He needed heat first then he could set about gathering his prey. Also, the fire would act as a beacon if he became lost within the woodland. Who knows what else could leap out and attack him. He snapped some large twigs in half and set about building his fire. Looking behind and around him, Thorin wondered who else inhabited this area.

During his active scoping of the tower, a familiar dwarf was sighted in the corner of his eye. Jonouchi paced back just enough to see the dwarf near the entrance of the floor.
"Ehh, what're you doing, Thourin?" His pronunciation was still off, he'll get it eventually.

"Greetings, Jonouchi. What brings you to the open air floor? Have you come to do some hunting or gathering? I dislike the food offered within the cafeteria. It does not agree with my stomach." He gave a strange look. To be honest, Thorin felt more at home here within the woods and the open air. Cooking on a campfire and hunting whatever he could find.

"No... The food is kinda bad." He agreed with that. He might just fanboy if the individual said so. Jonouchi's usual preference when it came to heroic things was always warriors and Thorin actually was one.

"Will you assist me, Jonouchi? I am foraging for mushrooms and wild herbs. If I become injured, the herbs will tend to my wounds. Perhaps you would like to gather some for yourself?" He looked at the boy. He didn't look like the type to hunt and gather. He was strong willed though and Thorin liked that.
no subject
"Sure! Is that all you need?" If it is he'll be on his way to harvesting those. Just don't expect him to bring very good ones, he can't tell the difference between what's okay to eat and what's poisonousness.
no subject
"Do not eat any of them until we have sorted them though. They may be deadly."
no subject
"Okay. I'll be back."
He'll be on his way!

Like a puppy, the blonde returned with an armful of different plants of sorts He wasn't sure what all to gather and what was okay to eat. He never had to fend for himself in this manner before. He was a city boy after all, and such methods weren't required for survival.
"Is this okay?" He asked as he displayed everything.
sorry for late reply...
You're fine

He heard the crackling of flames and went to see who was there, though he had been warned about monsters he was sure if he was careful it would be alright.

Sword drawn, he was ready for whatever beast lurked in the undergrowth. He sighed then smiled to himself as he saw the hobbit in the undergrowth. He sheathed Orcrist as he walked towards Sam.
"Greetings, mister Gamgee. What brings you to the open air?"
no subject
"Just exploring, learning more about this place."

"Will you help me gather some mushrooms or cook some meat once I have killed my prey?"

Thorin cocked his bow and stepped forward, inching closer to the beast. He was within a few metres as he pulled his bow back as far as the string would allow. The deer was unaware of the dwarf, camouflaged in the dense undergrowth. Thorin had years of practice at this and he rarely missed. Like Kili, he had keen sight.
Loosing his arrow, he struck the deer in the hindquarters. Smiling to himself, Thorin quickly pulled the arrow from the flesh and slung the beast over his shoulder as he walked back to the fire. Surely, Sam should have found something by now.

It is impossible to tell. But a being almost as big as a troll, though made of metal instead of stone, is definitely watching over the Dwarf King.
no subject
It was huge. Menacing. A stone giant? Nay, none he had ever seen. He swallowed then glared up at the creature.
"Why were you watching me?"
no subject
He says, in a voice too deep to be human, but filtered to metallic by the interference of the helm. It comes out strangely muffled, as though the functionality of his armor has been altered somehow. Loken knows why, of course, the voxcaster is broken, but to Thorin it just sounds like someone talking from underneath a pillow.

"You spied on me because I interest you?"

And Cerberus is a hugenormous terror of metal and flesh, after all.

"I'm probably not. My name is Cerberus, and I am of the Legiones Astartes."

His hard face has the determined cast of a man who has never surrendered. Ever.
