one john, two john; purple john, blue john
Characters: John Egbert, the other John Egbert, a gaggle of Pokémon, and YOU!
Setting: Floor 38 (lounge floor)
Format: Either
Summary: As usual, neither John can catch a break and their birthday has to be pretty shitty. All of their friends have disappeared (thnx, jason u r a pal) so they're having a party of their own. Withblack jack go fish, and hookers Pokémon!
Warnings: none yet
[Should you happen to make your way to the second lounge floor today, you will be greeted with an...interesting sight, to say the least. Seated in two beanbag chairs with a table pulled up between them are god tier John and Pokémon trainer John. Each of them is holding what appears to be a handful of cards which are actually pieces of paper that they've drawn on. The rest are spread out on the table in front of them, forming a card river.]
[Yes, you guessed it...they're playing go fish.]
[Occupying a third bean bag on a third edge of the table is Michael J. the Zoroark, watching the two boys play. Chandel the Lampent, watching with equally as rapt attention, floats next to his shoulder. The rest of Johto's John's Pokémon are out and about as well today. Liv the Altaria stands next to the window, face pressed against the glass while Elliot the Dusknoir floats behind Johto's John. Slimer the Haunter and Tron the Rotom aren't as paying close attention to the game, floating around the room and getting into all sorts of things but surprisingly not causing any real troubleyet.]
[Depending on when you happen upon the pair and their monsters, you will find yourself faced with quite a different set of circumstances.]
[The game starts out good natured enough. Just a kid playing go fish with himself on his birthday. Damn this is awesome. Only not really, it kind of sucks because wow what do you know? Another shitty Egbert birthday. Who would have guessed?! So soon enough the game takes a bit of an unpleasant turn, the two boys slamming their cards down or throwing them at each other, as they snap at each other. Michael J. and Chandel look more than a little uncomfortable as this goes on.]
[...dare you approach?]

I'm pretty sure this birthday can't get any shittier.

Four of a kind, fuck yeah!!! [He slams them down onto the table a little harder than is absolutely necessary.]
You know, part of me almost wants to think that maybe they are all just hiding somewhere and setting up a surprise party or something but ahaha! That would break the rules!!
no subject
Do you have a six? [THAT WAS ASKED A WHOLE LOT MEANER THAN IT NEEDED TO BE.]
You know, I don't think they thought to throw us a party! Probably just hiding out somewhere until the day is over. I can't even seem to get ahold of Dave, and he wasn't in his room.
no subject
[Though immediately after that, he seems to calm down a little. It's probably only temporary though. But that first sentence about nobody thinking to throw a party kind of stings a bit. In a different way though.]
I don't know...Rose remembered last year. She was the only one who did, mind you, but even so I feel like she would have at least said something to me. But she wasn't even there when I woke up this morning...
no subject
[John is only pulling a frown because he thought atleast the people he knew would remember. He knows the other him remembers because well...they are the same person! But celebrating with yourself is lonely and kind of lame.]
Are you sure she's alright dude? I couldn't find Dave this morning either, neither of them!
no subject
[SIGN.]
I haven't seen hide or hair of either of the Daves either. Or Jade, for that matter. Got any sevens?
no subject
Uuuugh.. [He mirrors pushing his glasses up to pinch the bridge of his nose, before he tosses a single seven John. Stupid asshole taking all of his sevens.]
We definitely need to scope this out.
no subject
I don't know how much scoping out there is to do, to be honest. Their names are all still on their doors. Which means they aren't gone for good. Either they're hiding somewhere in the tower or they all got sent back for a temporary, yet indeterminate length of time.
no subject
So what do we do, sit here and hope they aren't gone for good? I don't like the sound of that, but, I don't really know my way around like you do, or I would go myself.
Got any nines?
no subject
To be fair, even if you did know your way around it would take us days to search every last nook and cranny. Plus there are the floors we can't access.
[Which he...sincerely hopes is not where they are right now.]
They really need to give us some kind of portable communicator or something here. It's so fucking hard to find people otherwise. You kinda just have to run into them by chance.
no subject
What if they are there? They aren't toast, are they?
[Siiiiiiigh.]
Why haven't they made that a thing?
no subject
I don't know. I doubt they are toast, as you put it but if they really are down there they chances are it's nothing good. Either they are dead and having their souls put into new "bodies" or something else even worse.
[He pauses, looking thoughtful for a moment.]
Or they decided to stage a break in and didn't tell us about it. Somehow I doubt that's the case though.
no subject
[Sigh.]
I doubt it too. Got any kings?
no subject
[He hands John a single king.]
no subject
[He sets down his set of kings.] Got any Queens?
no subject
[+1 Strider, as Sis blinks on her way up the stairs, going from a shadow on the stairs to a shadow looming over them. She looks down between them at the cards and quirks an eyebrow.]
Cards, huh? What, no hookers and blow? Or were they fresh out of request forms downstairs?
sorry we're hitting this up late. skjdfjksf. but it's gonna go sis > ou john > au john 'u'b
I don't believe we even checked. Just kinda made our own cards and started throwing shit, and pretty much forgot anything else that could have been relevant to this card game. [Anger issues arose okay.]
no subject
Yeah, what he said pretty much.
no subject
Man, Egberts. I would have expected more movie marathons or practical jokes gone wild from what I hear about you from the Little Man. Did the tower knock all the fun out of you two or what?
no subject
No he's just being a brat.]No. There just isn't anyone to pull a practical joke on as far as people we know. They're gone. All of them. Literally. No fucking joke.
no subject
Yeah and the movies here are kinda...weird. Like. Really weird.
no subject
All of them? Any clue where they mighta gone?
[That's both surprising and disturbing- she knows none of the Striders would let this day go unmentioned, and neither would the Lalondes.]
And weird how?
no subject
Not a clue. Alternate me woke up and Rose was gone. I went to go find wither of the Dave's or Jade and they were gone and then I went looking for Bro. He was gone too.
[John shrugs.]
I haven't watched any of the movies here, so that is all on other me.
no subject
[One less thing for them to potentially panic over, you know?]
The movies are just weird though...I have never heard of any of them and the few I watched were just...yeah weird is really the only way to put it.
