Wake Up

Characters: Marceline + anyone who wants in
Setting: Room 2-01 (if you want to just pass by there), and then on to other floors.
Format: Starting in prose but I'll match you.
Summary: This Vampire Queen is less than pleased about all these rules, this tower, and she's looking for a way back home.
Warnings: None at the moment.

Every day she woke up without the sleep paralysis was enough cause to be thankful, but Marceline wasn't going to accuse herself of being a grateful creature. She could still feel the sourness in her stomach from that forsaken oatmeal (not a drop of red to be leeched from it at all, besides the fact that oatmeal turned her stomach anyway), the heaviness of her limbs for the too-long seconds when she woke up in this bleak world with that note by her bedside. How could she be happy here, it wasn't Ooo. There was no one to bother. No one to appreciate her playing. Not that she needed it, really. It was just nice.

With a sigh, she swung her legs out of the bed, picked her way around the mess of things she'd scattered around, the amp at the foot of her bed where she'd been sitting there the night before playing as loud as she could in hopes someone in charge would come say something so she could demand to go home, her extra shoes, her jeans from the previous day, and settled her axe bass on the bed so she could open her trunk and get some new clothes. Today was going to be a day to explore, and she wasn't going out without the bass. If worst came to worst she could get her bearings, track someone down, and threaten them for answers at the least.

Taiki smiled and nodded to the woman who he passed in the corridoor, he wondered if she had been the one playing the music.

Taiki waved back with a smile noticing the instrument on her back, "Oh the music was you!" His eyes widened, "Sorry for being rude! But it was really pretty and I was wondering who was playing it."

Taiki smiled a nervous smile, glad that she hadn't been upset that he had spoken to her. He stood silently for a moment before deciding to ask a question, hoping that she didn't mind.

"Have you been here long?"

Taiki gave a small smile back and nodded, "I haven't found the food bad..." Of course he hadn't ate anything that wasn't fruit or salad and couldn't speak for the rest of the food. "It is a bit boring having the same thing all the time though. I have only been here a few days."

"Sorry," he said automatically and smiled nervously shrugging. "I don't think that giving us interesting food is high on their priorities." He had a very low opinion of their kidnappers, he didn't believe they cared about their happiness or comfort at all, despite what their notes said.

Taiki nodded, "The world wasn't destroyed." He said semi confidently, "I don't think I would be alive if it was." After all if there was no world left for Tai to be in then there would be no need for a king and no need for a Kirin.

Erik was wandering, as usual. He couldn't stay still in this place--inertia was something he abhorred in the best circumstances, and this was far from them.

Everything in this place set him on edge; the captivity, the lies being told to them by their 'patrons'. He was going to find a way out if he had to tear down the entire tower to do so.

Seeing the pale woman, he raised a slightly eyebrow, but gave away no other indication that he was curious.

"Relatively." Erik returned her question evenly. He didn't wave back, but he did stop walking, at least. "Been here a month, and this place has a habit of changing things around."

"No." Erik looked at her with a bit of amusement. "Though your face shows how I feel about this place most days."

He couldn't get his bearings, as much as he would like to--nothing felt right, and with the collar around his neck, was constantly ready to lash out.

Now, in all her few days of being in this infernal prison, Rose was more glad to hear the sound of an instrument playing than anything else she had experienced. Perhaps even more glad than running into Spain or Canada, not that she'd ever admit to it. Whoever had put her here had provided her with something to listen to music with, but nothing to play it on and that drove her a bit mad, to be honest.

So when she wound up hearing some poor unfortunate soul playing away at their bass guitar, it sort of made her both a little more comfortable that there was other sources of music within the tower, and a little sad that she was unable to bring any talents of her own to the table.

It wouldn't have been courteous of her to just barge into the room from where the music originated, but when she saw a rather pale girl walk out of the room, she pursed her lips and hurried along down the corridor. Part of her thought it might have been a better idea to turn around and walk the other way, but she was a stubborn one, this England, so donning a smile, she matched her pace with the girl's.

"Uehm, I hope you don't find this too terribly rude, but ueh, was that you playing the music last night? Because if it was, it was rather fabulous like." said Rose.

It was hard to hear the bass playing from her room, considering that she was far away, but even if it was soft, she still heard it. Still, she had also decided that it was a day to explore with her pokemon. Granted, only her Pikachu was outside of her pokeball, but that didn't mean that the rest were less important.

Seeing Marceline, she smiled, noticing the instrument on her back. "Oh, were you the one that was playing yesterday?"

[identity profile] empathicals.livejournal.com 2011-10-16 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh?" She asks, raising an eyebrow. "What did you want to do?"

When Marceline mentions her Pikachu, she smiles, and Chu Chu gives a cheerful "pika!". "Thank you! She's my friend, Chu Chu. She's a Pikachu."

"No they really don't....they really don't tell us much, and from what I know, it's a dangerous place." She looks down at the floor and then back up. "So we have to find a way out of here. Or at least back to where we come from."

She a bit taken aback by Marceline being startled, but a smile spreads across her face. "Oh, she's not an animal. She's a pokemon, and one of my friends. She just said hello."

[identity profile] empathicals.livejournal.com 2011-10-27 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
She quirks an eyebrow, crossing her arms, a thoughtful look on her face. "Well, maybe they will tell us, someday. But if they don't, then we should try to find out by ourselves. Don't you think?" Even if she looked like she could never harm a fly, Yellow had already learnt more than enough when it came to fighting evil people and being in dangerous situations. And if her Pokemon were by her side, then she had no problems.

She gives a small smile when asked the question, nodding. "Yep. I can sort of understand her thoughts and feelings. It's an ability I have..."
