Characters: OU!England and you!
Setting: Kitchen or Floor 19, the new library.
Format: Starting prose, but I'm flexible, baby. ;D
Summary: He's a bit disturbed by the lack of tea and history textbooks in this tower.
Warnings: England in the kitchen (but don't worry, only for tea!), probably language, and flying mint bunny.

Kitchen;;

He hadn't the faintest idea exactly how that trunk had been packed to encompass all of his basic needs, but he had never been more thankful for it as he was when he arrived in the kitchen and realized that this place lacked a supply of tea. He had brought his own tea down regardless of what he expected to find -- he trusted his own supply and brands far more than anything the tower had to offer -- but it was troubling to know that he'd probably end up having to ration what he had.

A deep sigh fell from the kingdom as he leaned back against the counter next to the stove, where the water waited to boil. He only hoped that the power wouldn't blip out while the stove was on, as it had seemed to be keen on doing this month thus far -- with the rate at which his nerves were fraying, he needed a cup of jasmine post-haste.
Floor 19;;

"There's nothing up there, either?" he questioned, craning his head back to look at the winged green creature hovering near the highest shelves. When the soft voice answered in the negative, England's generous eyebrows furrowed in perplexity.

The entire history section was gone from this library. Something about that disturbed him to his core. Those weren't just dry retellings of things that most people didn't care about anymore; those were his memories. The story of his life, and the lives of all of his comrades, as well. Stories that would die if they weren't passed down.

Chunks had been carved out of some other sections as well, it seemed. England was skeptical that the removals were at random, especially with one section all but eradicated. The pudgy rabbit fluttered down to rest on his shoulder, and he absently reached up a hand to stroke its head as he pondered. To anyone without a sight for fairies and the supernatural, it would look more like a gesture of madness to empty air at the side of his head, but England had more important things to worry about at the moment than his perceived sanity.

"Hello," Sanshi said with a small smile before turning to Taiki, "Taiki?"

Taiki smiled and held her hand tighter, "I know I'm sorry." He shouldn't really summon them, but describing them to people was difficult and he knew that if there was ever a problem they would come anyways so it was best people got used to them. He smiled at Gouran and thanked him and the second demon disapeared but Sanshi remained.

"This is mister Kirkland," Sanshi smiled at him, "He made Jasmine tea!"

England responded to the introduction with a careful upward tilt of his lips, setting one hand on his stomach and the other behind his back to offer Sanshi an aristocratic bow. A bit old-fashioned, perhaps, but he felt it appropriate. "Arthur Kirkland, at your service, Miss Sanshi."

Sanshi smiled and nodded, "Hello Arthur Kirkland." She didn't let go of Taiki's hand but Taiki smiled and took a sip of his tea. "This is really nice mister Kirkland, I'm sorry... could I ask... do you come from Earth."

He straightened up once Taiki spoke again. The question was received with a mild degree of bemusement, at first, but England understood his rationale. He'd seen some weird things around this tower.

"I'm glad that it's to your taste," he replied, with the addendum, "and indeed I do."

Taiki smiled and nodded, "I spoke to some people and it seems there are multipul places called earth. But is there a country called Japan on your earth?"

Oh, right, England had almost forgotten the parallel worlds thing. But he supposed there would have to be more than one earth, if there were female versions of the nations running around this tower.

He smiled a little in recognition. "Indeed there is. I've been to Japan; it's rather lovely." It's just a guess, but: "Is that where you are from?"

Taiki smiled and gave a small nod. "Sort of mister Kirkland, I am from the twelve Kingdoms, but my Ranka... Sorry," he realised that the man might not know the word, "that is a fruit that people are born from there... was blown over to earth in a storm and I grew up in Japan until Sanshi found me." He squeezed Sanshi's hand again. "Which country do you come from?"

People born from fruits? How curious. He was thankful for Taiki's elaboration, as it saved him the embarrassment of having to ask. The nation gave a light chuckle. "I'm from England," he responded. Well, he technically was. Normally the accent was a dead giveaway, but perhaps Taiki had never heard the accents of the British Isles before.

"Oh yes I know where that is," Taiki smiled, he hadn't really heard any British accents before and he smiled again nervously.

"It's quite a brilliant place," England assured, hiding his knowing smile behind the rim of his cup. "Rainy, but the culture is unlike any other."

Well, if no one else was going to stroke his ego...

"Perhaps you could visit some time. It's very different from Japan."

Taiki smiled he had heard that Britain was really rainy, but that was the only thing about the country that he had heard. "That would be nice, maybe once we manage to get home I can ask Lord Gyousou if I can go to earth and visit you for a little while." If Lord Gyousou ever let him out of his sight after this, that was.

"Don't trouble yourself; I imagine the trip would be just a tad out of the way," he remarked lightly. "But, if the opportunity ever arises, do seize it. You'll never forget the sights." Especially growing up in Japan, England would look very different to Taiki.

"Sorry," Taiki said automatically, thinking he had upset the man or made him angry with his idea. "I hope one day to have the oportunity."

This boy certainly did apologize a lot. England raised an eyebrow marginally. "You haven't offended me, dear lad." He raised the mug to his mouth to sip it again following his statement. "Don't fret so much. Your manners are just fine." They weren't perfect, but having raised someone as rambunctious as America, England was a bit more lenient on etiquette from children as long as their intentions were good.

"Oh, thank you." Taiki knew his manners wern't perfect and he often worried about upsetting or offending people. He had often gotten things wrong in Japan and had been a disapointment to his grandmother. On Mount Hou Sanshi had been there to help him but she did not know how he was suposed to act here.

He drank his tea some more in silence, Sanshi's arms wrapped protectively around him.

"Of course, dear boy," England returned easily as he nursed his tea. He fell into a hush after that, eyes skimming over the forms of both Taiki and Sanshi fleetingly enough so as to not be rude. Japan was very big on manners, probably as big as England himself, and this boy sounded almost like nobility of some sort. The pressure he must have had to keep his etiquette impeccable was no doubt astounding.

"Are you familiar with other types of tea, Taiki?" England queried after a few moments.

Taiki smiled as he drank his tea not really bothered by the silence. At the question he nodded, "Yes I know quite a few type's of tea. In Japan my grandma used to like Green tea, like Tamaryokucha and Kukicha and my mothers faverite was Matcha." He smiled again remembering.

"I like berry and fruit tea as well though my grandma used to say it was too sweet. There are some tea's in the 12 Kingdoms that I don't think they have on earth but the tea on Mount Hou was always nice."

The island nation smiled at Taiki's knowledge, glancing down into the warm jasmine tea that half-filled his mug. "It's quite alright to like sweet tea, particularly if one is young," he said. He usually found that children did tend to gravitate towards the sugary or fruity teas. "I enjoy many teas, though I must say that Earl Grey is my favourite."

His interest was piqued at the mention of Taiki's home world. "Really now? A shame; I'd love to try them."

Taiki smiled again, feeling more comfertable now they had spoken for a little while. "Earl Grey is a black tea isn't it?" He smiled again and held onto Sanshi's hand a little tighter as he thought about Mount Hou.

"I wish you could, some of them are really delicious."

He hummed in agreement as he tilted back for another moderate sip. "Indeed it is," he answered after swallowing and lowering the mug again. "I've heard its flavour called 'aristocratic'." England thought that was close enough to the mark.

"Well," he started amiably. "Perhaps some day I will have the opportunity. You never know." If he could get pulled away from his own world into some foreign one, who's to say he couldn't visit another if he figured out the secret?

Taiki listened interested in what the Mr. Kirkland was telling him he nodded slowly when eh spoke about having the oportunity to go to the Twelve Kingdoms. "Some people are blown over in storms, that is why I grew up on earth and there are some from earth who end up in the Twelve Kingdoms. But getting back is always difficult," and life for the refugees was hard even in places like Tai were the king was just.

"If you do though you can come and visit me in Tai!"

His eyebrows arched up marginally. "It's not unusual for someone to be carried over in a storm? How strange." He had thought Taiki was just a one-in-a-million chance.

"Though if that's the case, there's still a chance yet, seeing as England is so rainy." He'd become so attuned to rain, he could tell when it was coming in almost any environment; even here in the tower, he'd noticed the drizzles that had been happening.

"It is not common but it is not unheard of, the Kirin of En is also a Taika as is the King of En, and the Queen of Kei. There are also quite a few refugees from Earth in Tai and other countries." He smiled slightly.

"I heard that about England, that it is very rainy. Tai is not too wet but there is a cold wind that blows most of the year round."

He tried to keep the information he was learning about the Twelve Kingdoms organized; maybe he should invest in keeping a log of all the worlds he's learned about while here. The list is not large, but the tower certainly is, and England didn't doubt he would eventually encounter more.

He filed this possibility away, mulling over the weather. "Cold doesn't much bother me, fortunately." England was no Scandinavian country, but he had a pretty high chill tolerance.

"I got a little cold at first, because Japan is warm and Mount Hou doesn't have seasons, but I am used to it now." He smiled again and squeezed Sanshi's hand. "It is a beautiful place, though there is still work to be done to recover now lord Gyousou has ascended the throne."
