[Event, returning from surgery, open]

Characters: All those who were expermimented on if they want and everyone else
Setting: Cafeteria, morning
Format: Whatevers easiest
Summary: Those that were taken a week ago are left in the cafeteria, changed and somewhat broken. (I'm starting with Romeo, and then everyone can just make their own threads/reply to each other/tag around. I just thought this would save 8 very similar different threads)
Warnings: Horror, description of body modification horror, trauma, angst, unplesentness. Probably lots of anger

Romeo had barely struggled when he was taken a week ago but now he was angry. The bad people had hurt them all, did awful things to them. He shouted at them and was ignored, he tried to bash them with his antlers but it did nothing. Soon they were left in the cafeteria. It had only been a week but everything had changed. Romeo had fallen once they had put him down, he still wasn't good at walking and he looked around. The cafeteria was exactly the same though it seemed that the whole tower should have changed, become even scarier than it already was. He looked at his mouth, so strange and protruding out of his face and then down at his legs, four of them now not two. They looked strange in a way they hadn't in the cells. They had been a scary place and the face that he now had hooves and antlers hadn't been as horrifying as it was now he was in a normal place. A place he had been for a long time now.

He looked at the others and tried not to cry, he had cried so much already and it wouldn't keep anyone's spirits up. Now they were back they had to act strong and brave because they would be seeing their friends. Those that were hopefully safe. With a determined look Romeo struggled to his feet and stood, staying very close to the others, scared even now he was no longer imprisoned. "It will be alright." He whispered, both to himself and to those around him. They just had to keep their spirits up, and no matter what they had to keep living.

France's smile might have wobbled a bit as her thumbs stroked under his eyes. "Well, you seem to be carrying a bit of extra weight so that makes sense..."

Her eyes flashed dangerously at the mention of 'bad people', her maternal instincts raging inside of her to make the boy's torturers pay. Her voice was deadly soft as she crooned, "Don't worry, mon cher. I will kill them if they try to hurt you again."

Francisca shushed him, gently petting his head between the antlers. "Don't worry, I don't plan on letting them." Dead people had difficulty fighting back after all.

She glanced down over his hooves and sighed, running her hand gently over one that had once been his hand. "... Did it hurt?"

Francisca wanted to scream. She wanted to destroy everything in the tower and tear apart their captors, to set the place on fire. Children should never be harmed-!

With a shudder she forced herself to breathe normally, calming down as her hands shook slightly as she felt over his new limbs. "And now you have hooves." Fingers tracing the outline of one hoof, her lips quirked in a sad smile at how small it was. "Can you walk?"

A baby deer... Well, Romeo certainly wasn't much bigger than a fawn. Francisca continued to quietly examine his legs, the delicate limbs so frail and tiny in her hands. "Well," she said with a shadow of her usually bright smile. "I suppose that means no stairs for you for a while then."

"Well, in any case, I suppose we can be thankful they installed the elevators..." she sighed. Thankful, hah. She was still thrumming with murderous rage but through centuries of practice, knew how to keep it hidden. She instead focused her attention on his antlers, fingers just barely stroking the tips of them. "Though for a fawn you certainly have antlers worthy of a buck."

She continued to stroke the antlers, examining them closely. "I imagine they would be - at least with real deer their horns gradually grow, so they can adjust to the weight gradually. You only just got yours fully grown!"

Francisca's arm moved to cover the boy's shoulders, feeling ill from the idea of having the boy pumped full of animal blood, of all wretched things to do to children. "... You were lucky, mon cher," she murmured, stroking his hair back gently. "If the deer was ill, it's better that it is dead now. At least they can't use it for more experiments to hurt it, oui?"

Francisca automatically moved to sit at his side, carefully avoiding goring herself on the horns to put an arm around his shoulders. "Animals lash out when they are afraid... I suppose there is a good chance that this is true for the ones in the forest as well."

She smiled at his enthusiasm and poked his hoof gently. "First we have to get you walking again. One step at a time, oui?"
