You don't need your memories... they only bring you pain.
Characters: AU Ryoji Mochizuki and you....
Setting: Dormitory halls, mostly...
Format: I will match you. c:
Summary: After having disappeared for a while, Ryoji is now back and patrolling the dormitory area, monitoring worker units, making sure everyone is behaving and generally being creepy. He will attack anything he perceives as misbehaving. Unfortunately, however, he is sometimes prone to malfunctioning and trying to remove parts of people's brains...
Warnings: Mutilation, brainwashing, final boss tier battles, death, destruction, body horror...
Ordinary Patrolling
Everything is fine. He can serve his masters perfectly now.
Ryoji stalks the hallways, ever vigilant. He never stops for long, pausing only now and then to peer into a room or to oversee a worker unit's performance. He has no eyes and no expression - only the grin of the skull that is his face, now - so it is hard to tell what he is thinking, if anything. But he flexes his long scythe-like claws when he rests his eyeless gaze upon any poor souls who pass by him. And he stretches his feathery wings from time to time to block their passage while he looks them over, just to make sure...
You are Misbehaving... Stop that
"No."
His voice is cold, as he stands behind you, and it has dark undercurrents as if perhaps many voices are whispering with him. If you turn to look, you may be puzzled at how he can speak at all, as his face is naught but a skull now, but you don't really have time to worry about that now.
"You must stop."
He flexes his claws, crouching slightly, and if you don't run and run now, he will attack - if not with the class, then be sure to watch out for a spell or two. No element is outside of his reach...
MalFUNction
Perhaps you are innocently hiding in your room. Or perhaps you are simply walking. Maybe you are outright misbehaving - it really doesn't matter to Ryoji right now, as he staggers down the hall, attacking anything in sight.
The first thing he meets is sometimes another resident. But sometimes it is a hapless malfunctioning ordinary worker unit that has somehow stumbled into the residential area. He approaches, scythe-like claws extended, almost seeming to pull in the light like dark shadows.
"You are not complying." Ryoji laughs but it sounds a little bit like sobbing. It is oddly dissonent with his voice, which is largely emotionless. "It must be your memories... Your memories hold you back."
And then, he attacks the worker unit, pouncing upon it ere it can move away.
Ryoji makes quick work of it. His abnormal, monstrous strength keeps the wretched thing pinned, and if it manages to squirm away, a blast of ice in the form of bufudyne freezes it in place once more for Ryoji to do his work. It is amazing how delicate his movements are with such terrible claws, but he is surgically precise, cutting a hole into the worker unit's skull and carefully dissecting out the portions of the brain that hold memories.
He lets the worker unit go when all its memories have been scooped out, but now? Now it simply stands there, an empty shell...
You had better run before Ryoji does this to you, too...!

Patrolling! Gonna say this is a few days later so Break's had some time to recover
What an irritating little puppet.
Fortunately, he has not left anywhere without his cane now and, honestly, he's pretty sure he's gotten an idea of what his own abilities as much as these modified people can do. He's been testing it. And he sees no reason to provoke the... creature this boy once way. He should be fine. He's still a bit exhausted from having to use the Hatter before, and he would prefer to avoid an encore of that. ]
... Do you make it a habit to get in the way of the people your precious "administrators" have saved, or do you simply enjoy conversation?
o7 okay!
as if he could do anything elsebut does not yet move his wing. It's almost as if the question confuses him. What is there to enjoy or not enjoy about conversation? ]I am examining you for misbehavior. I will move momentarily.
[ At least he's honest? ]
no subject
Last I checked, I did not appear to be tearing through the hallways causing problems... unlike some of your own who say they are are happy to serve and then cause everyone an issue. I would be concerned about them, rather than myself.
Now move.
[ He's in a bad mood; this place is disgusting, nothing more than a mockery of the Abyss itself. It was as though Noise had brought Duldum in and made them all insane. ]
Misbehaving? Minato? Oh no
"Stop what?"
As far as Minato knew, he wasn't doing anything dangerous. But with the changes he saw in front of him, who knew what Ryoji's thinking of right now?
Of course not. He is very dutiful... in misbehaving, anyway.
"Misbehaving," Ryoji intones.
He is not specific with what, exactly, Minato is doing wrong. It could be something as simple as simple existing that has Ryoji bothered. Or maybe it's because this isn't the floor Minato's dorm is on. Or maybe it's because as far as Ryoji is concerned, the best way for everyone to behave is to be dead. Or at least a mindless zombie. Or something.
The most well-behaved misbehaviour
It's obvious to Minato. Whatever happened to Ryoji, it's risky and dangerous if he's not careful. As long Minato pick his words carefully. While he's almost always careful with his words, he don't know what he's doing for Ryoji to consider as "misbehaving".
That's what make this conversation risky to have right now.
"What was I doing that's 'misbehaving'?"
Patrolling for now... ?
Patrollin'
It's definitely not insectoid, though, and for some reason it keeps to the ground. There's power to be had here -- their hunger echoes in their buzzing reports -- but. Kariya's not interested in meeting whatever it is; he has his own worries, and the less creatures he runs into, the less evaluations he has to make between Tower resident and genuine monster.
The line is blurring more and more.
He makes an about face and suddenly there are feathers. He's not sure how the creature managed to corner him, but its skull mask holds no answers. He starts backwards, then goes back several more steps. For the moment, he's out of ammo, but that doesn't mean he's defenseless.
Actually, it might make him more dangerous. His Worms emerge from their quiet vigils to settle on his shoulders as he keeps a wary eye on the silent, small figure.]
... Let me pass. Please.
[Not a child, but not quite an adult. Not a creature he recognizes. It hasn't attacked yet, so he doesn't, either.]
