> Animus: Assemble
Characters: Members of Group A and YOU
Setting: Fourth Floor -- the white lounge.
Format: WHO EVEN KNOWS
Summary: Karkat attempts to pull everyone into one place for counter-resistance.
Warnings: MALFUNCTION MAY OCCUR, that means depending on who you tag and who tags in, your character may end up injured. Please check individual sub-threads for malfunction warnings! There's also obvious body horror warnings here due to modifications from the event.
[In a room full of white, its not hard to spot the various victims of Jason's latest experiments. Each sits or stands in their own corner on or off furniture talking amongst one another or simply staring at the door waiting for someone to approach them.
Some of them don't look all that approachable, even if it appears that they are completely sane at first glance. Some of them might even look like they don't want to be there.
You won't really know until you approach them.]

[Guy lifts his head at the words, the shift enough to clang a few chains together and send an ache through his neck and shoulder. Mmngg..
Still, there's a bitter chuckle on his lips at the woman wandering the room, a rueful smile working its way onto his features.]
I take it you didn't get the message going around, then.

I got a letter, but it didn't exactly explain itself all too well.
[ She does the polite thing and ceases her wandering when he speaks, facing him as much as she can stomach to. It's pretty gruesome, even if she tries to tell herself to get over it. ]
Sorry, you'll have to deal with at least one newb here. Is there a cliffnotes version?

[His arms cross a bit tighter, glancing over at the massive spider-like creature that had planned this whole gathering.]
What you got was basically it. There's a few of us around - me, Luke here [--guesturing to the boy who was more instrument than person, huddled a few yards away... and then nodding towards the spider.]-- and that big guy over there, for starters. About a dozen or so of us got these modifications like everyone else. But we still have our minds.
[He cocks his head with a smirk.]
Which means someone, somewhere, screwed up. We're not sure whether they've caught on yet. But we're trying to let people know, and figure out if there's some way we can form a counter-resistance with those that will bother to help us.

Secret resistance and all, I gotcha. Are we sure this whole tower isn't bugged, though? If there's someone crazy and deprived enough to do... this... [ she gestures vaguely toward Guy and the rest of Group A ] ... who's to say they aren't OCD enough to monitor every inch of the Tower?
Besides, how are we supposed to resist this? Serious question. I mean, aren't the people responsible all hiding somewhere?

I don't know what to tell you for that second question. I think that's part of the reason this meeting was called. There are people out there that have seen the inner workings of this place with their own eyes. Sharing information by word-of-mouth seems like the safer option if getting in contact with those people is going to happen.
As far as keeping tabs on the Tower... [His smile broadens.] Even the admins make mistakes when it comes to keeping their eyes and ears on everyone all the time. Again, they made a mistake with us, as much as they tried. There's a good chance they've done so in other areas as well.
