Summary: Karkat attempts to pull everyone into one place for counter-resistance.

[In a room full of white, its not hard to spot the various victims of Jason's latest experiments. Each sits or stands in their own corner on or off furniture talking amongst one another or simply staring at the door waiting for someone to approach them.

Some of them don't look all that approachable, even if it appears that they are completely sane at first glance. Some of them might even look like they don't want to be there.

You won't really know until you approach them.]

[Because he loves you, duh? Why else would he be hugging you like this? And more importantly, refusing to let you inch away? Not happening.]

It's okay, it's not your fault! I just...I didn't know where you were and everyone else was gone too and just...what happened, Rose? Karkat sent us all notes, what's going on?

[Stiiiiilll hugging. Even resting his head against her shoulder and everything. Fear? What fear? Rose may have have had her body modified horribly but she's still Rose and according to Karkat's letter and the way she's talking, she's still in her right mind so...she won't hurt him.]

[[John, please...]]

I...I don't rightly know. Another experiment I guess. Proof that Jason is a sadistic bastard.

[[She's going to carefully try and pry him off. Not with much force but still.]]

But-- [And that's when John notices something that probably should have been obvious from the moment he touched her. He loses his train of thought entirely, pulling back a little bit, hands still on her shoulders. He looks a little...disgusted? Concerned? It's an interesting expression, to say the least. Not that Rose can see it. But she can probably hear it in his tone because what the actual fuck is going on here?]

Rose...you're wiggling. Why are you wiggling? What did he do to you? [You don't mind if he tries to take a peek under your robe, right?] I swear I am not trying to look at something I shouldn't, it just feels like you have got a snake under here or something...

[He hasn't quite moved it away enough to see under it just yet but give him about 10 seconds and that won't be an issue anymore.]

John...what are you talking about? What are you looking at? [[The confusion is plain as day on her face, though she's not trying to follow his gaze to answer that question herself. She's kind of staring just a little bit past his shoulder, really, believing that's where he still is.]]

You are all wiggly where you shouldn't be! It's like there's someth-- [But exactly what it's like, we will likely never know as the next thing that comes out of John's mouth isn't a word as much as a horrified scream. It's followed by a dull, painful-sounding thud as John hits the floor, unconscious]

[Being a Prospit dreamer and from so early on in the timeline, John's experience with intergalactic space calamari amounts to exactly zero. He was not in any way prepared for the literal horrors hidden beneath that robe.]

[[Rose barely even flinches at the scream, but moments later jumps at the sound of something hitting the floor.]] J-John? John what happened?

[[She's just...going...to grope the air a little yeah. And when she can't find her fiance, she'll sort of crouch down a bit and try to find him down there, feeling around on the floor.]]

[The bigger John has been present in the room the entire time. ~~I wonder why that is, little John.~~ So at the sound of a scream and a thud he guesses this makes it okay to approach the pair now.

.....What the fuck just happened and why is John on the floor?]

Rose? This is the other John. Are you okay Rose? Is he okay? He's sort of unconscious.

He is? [[And you are? Wow it's a little difficult to tell you two apart when she can't see.]] I don't really know what happened. He said something about me was wriggling, and promised he wasn't looking at anything he shouldn't? But I can't...I don't really know what he was looking at to begin with.

[[Skipping over the 'are you okay' part.]]

[Right okay. So he is just gonna sit down and prop the little John up a little. Making sure he didn't bleed upon smacking the ground. All is seeming to be okay? But he'll have one hell of a headache upon waking up.]

Well. Sit down Rose, maybe I can take a look for you? Unless...you don't want me to see? I'm pretty sure I can stomach it, whatever...it may be.

[[She considers this...if it ended like that for one John, what would stop it from ending that way for the other?]]

What are we...even supposed to be looking at?

I'm not really sure. Do you even know what he was trying to look at?

[Though big John is getting considerably worried about Rose.]

No, not at all. All he said was that he wasn't trying to look at anything he shouldn't. And that...apparently where ever he was looking had a snake in it? [[But whatever snake he was referring to is apparently gone because Rose doesn't hear or feel any snakes moving around.]]

I guess we'll have to wait for him to wake up. Maybe he did look at something he shouldn't have. [It would be rude to go grabby handing and looking all over this John's girlfriend. John isn't really seeing much out of place at the moment.]

I'm glad you're safe though, he was totally freaking out.

...was he? [[There's a frown that worms its way onto her mouth. Finally she sits down, staring at some spot on the floor with that somewhat upset expression.]]

But that means he wasn't taken by the drones, correct? How about you? Are you okay? Neither of you are...altered right?

[Oh, Rose. It kind of breaks his heart when you're looking like that. He reaches over to pat her shoulder.]

Yeah, he was really worried. But you know that is because he loves you. [Big John can't say he is one for romance. But his alternate self was doing a pretty damn good job.]

We're both just fine. We woke up and everyone was gone.

[[The pat has her jumping a little, but despite that she smiles at what John says.]] Good, I'm glad. And sorry about that. I'm sure most of them didn't disappear by their choice either.

I didn't think so. I've been seeing people reappear as well so I guess that is also a good sign!

[John is watching her. He's trying to see what other John saw, and is failing horridly.]

That depends on their condition whether it's good or not.

[[Maybe, if you watch closely, you'll see something wriggle beneath those robes. Or squirm, or move oddly when she's not really moving at all.

Maybe.

Or maybe you should hug her like her John did.]]

[John doesn't want to run the risk of fainting as well, and good jesus it is about time this dunce wakes up. He has been sleeping in big John's lap for too long.

He starts poking at the other.]

I was too caught up in trying to find everyone, I hadn't been paying attention too much...er. I know that sounds really harsh. But I was more concerned about people I'm in immediate contact with.

That's actually very understandable. Worrying about those who can immediately use your help is only logical rather than trying to concern yourself with someone you don't even know the location of.

We found you at least. We haven't found Jade Strider, or the two Daves yet. We're actively searching though. Well, not right now since we have a sleeping beauty on our hands.

Well...don't give up. I would offer as much help as I could, but I can't see. I don't know if I'd be useful at all.

It's okay. You don't have to worry about that.

[He starts prodding at the smaller John again.] Dude, you have to get up.

...mm. Okay. [[She listens to the room for now, to the chatter between the other people mingling, before smiling a little.]]

Pinch his nose and hold it closed. That should wake him up. If not, tickle his sides. He's very ticklish. And if that doesn't work, we can always find his pokeball for Michael J and tell him to give his trainer a little love.

[Man he is so sorry John. But he is pinching your nose and tickling your sides at the same time.]

Come on sleeping beauty! Time to get up. Don't make me get Michael J on you.

[He kinda of laughs.] Thanks for the advice.
