Summary: Maya isn't affected by the brainwashing, but she's trying her best to cheer everyone on and make sure that they stop being crazy.



[ Even though she knows it's dangerous, she's been in dangerous situations before. She knows what it's like to lose someone precious to them, and she knows what it's like to feel like you're all alone.

She knows the meaning of brainwashing, and that it's not good.

She understands.

But even with the warning sirens going off in her head, she refuses to stay put. Not when other people are in trouble. So Maya will be going around, carrying a sign that says "Fight the Power!" while saying at the top of her lungs: ]

You can do it, guys! You don't need to give into those dumb administrators...!! I mean, they don't even like chocolate!

[ ... okay that last part was her attempt at a joke. ]

[For the most part, his routine hadn't been interrupted too much. Patrolling and making sure the other units on the dormitory floors were still in working order was, of course, his job.

But this little stunt? It sends a shock up his system - the closest thing he could feel to displeasure in his current state.

Disorder.

It had to be fixed.

He approaches her without hesitation, the chains behind him dragging loudly across the floor, the corpses attached twisting and mangling with the motions.]

Quiet down. You're accomplishing nothing.

[mayatama]

[ ... o o p s. ]

What do you mean by nothing?

Aaaa forgot to mention, but Guy can kill women if he goes berserk. Is this okay with you, y/n?

[relinquishing]

Workers are doing what they've been assigned. Your noise and cursing of the administration is a mere distraction.

You must stop.

[His goal isn't to harm her in the least... at least, not right now. So his hand merely rests againt the hilt of his blade, eyeing her down as if daring her to start her foolish racket up again.]

[Sephiran is just kind of staring at Maya as she goes about her business. What does "fight the power" even mean, anyway?]

What are you doing?

I'm trying to get people to snap out of it.

[thelordsage]

Snap people out of what? Their... new conditions? I'm afraid that just shouting at them is unlikely to work.

[fuhgeddaboudit]

Are you nuts?!

[The robot girl stared at Maya in shock, trying to comprehend just what she was thinking.]

You gotta get somewhere safe, ya can't just be screwin' around out here!

[mayatama]

I'm not just screwing around, you know...

[ Why is everyone even getting on her case, she's trying to help. Though right now's probably not a good time for this sort of thing. ]

But you're gonna get hurt, paintin' a target on yourself like this!

Let's go with the cafeteria

[In a place so confusing and bleak, hearing someone so upbeat and hopeful instantly snaps France out of the almost dream-like state he's been wandering around in these past few days. He's picking apart a nutrition bar at the moment, so her comment about chocolate gets to him, even if she meant it as a joke. Before he's even aware of what he's doing himself, France stands up and claps his hands together.]

Oui! They do not have the right to get our spirits down like this!

[It's a lot easier to try to convince himself to be happy when someone else seems to have the same idea, too. So many people in the Tower are constantly downtrodden, and France was almost beginning to feel like he should follow in their footsteps. And that would have been no fun at all, would it?]

[mayatama]

Yeah!

[ Maya raises her fist in the air excitedly, a huge grin on her lips as she does so. ]

I mean, if we just give up like this... we'll just end up like everyone else. And there's no way they're going to make me into a robot!

[silencetoreason]

Me either! Nobody is going to turn me into something ghastly like that!

[He abandons his food (because ew, nutrition bars) and trots over to her. With a bright smile on his face, he looks over her sign.]

My, chéri, where did you get that? I'll gladly join you, if you'd like!

[This is almost like going on strike, after all, and he just loves doing that.]

Dorm floors

[Tohko, as usual, was patrolling the dormitory floor to make sure that no one was acting up. It was good that she was-she heard Maya yell out and saw her little sign. It was obvious that she hated the Administrators, and, therefore, needed to be destroyed. Concentrating, Tohko made a storm cloud form over Maya's head. Even if she jumped or moved, the cloud would follow her.

Without another word, Tohko snapped her fingers, sending a rain of lighting down at Maya. Hopefully she would be able to dodge or at least avoid some of it.]

[mayatama]

[ Unfortunately for Maya, she's unable to dodge all of the lightning (one hits a part of her outfit), which makes her jump back in surprise. But she's tough enough to survive this. ]

W-... what are you doing?

[tohko_amano]

I am disciplining you. You are going against the Administrators and, therefore, need to be punished.

[Thankfully, the storm cloud vanished for now, but Tohko was now drawing out one of her daggers.]

[ ALL OF A SUDDEN there is a very strange man in clothing reminiscent of a certain frilly prosecutor with a cane. Without even a warning, he simply says: ]

A most excellent way to get yourself killed, young Miss. Though I do agree, their dislike of sweets is quite abhorrent!

[mayatama]

[ WOW RUDE... ]

Well, I don't plan on dying! ...Again!

How about a lounge floor!

[[She couldn't read the sign, so that didn't really have any affect on her at all. And she would have ignored the girl period for the most part had it not been for that last statement. It gets her to stop, still sticking to the edge of the room, but at least look in Maya's direction.]]

I wish they did have chocolate. It would at least make this experience somewhat tolerable.

[[Look! She can joke back! Though how easy it is to continue kidding around with someone who looks to be moving unnaturally beneath their clothing and a burn victim on the outside is hard to say.]]

Well, there was chocolate here last month.

[For a long while, the drone was busy cleaning up the tables, but she suddenly stopped, almost as though she paused to consider the joke. She is still turned away from Maya, but has completely stopped moving.

It's probably not best for Maya to go near her because of how strange people have been acting recently, but can she resist?]

Heeeeey!

[ Sorry, but she's not going to ignore a single person. ]

[Chung appreciates what you're doing but-]

Miss! It's dangerous to be out here in the open right now!

Everyone keeps on saying that. What's so wrong about fighting the power?

[Kyoko looks at Maya, looks at the sign that she's carrying, and raises an eyebrow.]

Just what are you hoping to accomplish here?

[mayatama]

Well, I was hoping that we'd get more chocolate at least.
