> Karkat: Recruit the mutant
Characters: Karkat Vantas [AU1] and Kanaya Maryam [AU1]
Setting: Mail Room, backdated to the beginning of the event
Format: idk
Summary: Karkat has a plan -- unfortunately, he has no fingers
Warnings: Event crap, body-mods, etc. Disturbing obidience???
[Karkat had spent the day reflecting on the events that had occurred during and prior to his current predictament. It wasn't difficult to come to the conclusion that his constant death train and various other horrific experiences had started to jade him toward things going on in the tower. Its impossible to completely accept that he's been turned into a trollified arachnid, even moreso when he nearly trips on one of his eight limbs, but if he thought about it too hard he would simply go mad.
It had already happened once -- he couldn't remember anything when he came to, aside from a hunger he had not had prior. For now, he would simply need to keep his cool...and wait for the right opportunity.
But that didn't mean he couldn't take advantage of what Jason had given him. Ascending the staircase had proved easier than other tasks thusfar -- now he was merely waiting for a certain someone to join him as he asked at the mailroom.
Part of his stomach was still twisting at what had been done to her, but he couldn't think about that now. There were other matters to address while they still had the chance.]

She has an order to attend to, and she must ensure that it is done.
She knows immediately when she reaches the mailroom floor that there is something to be done here. Kanaya stops short on the stairs briefly before stepping off into the room proper.
This is where she was ordered.
Silently, she stands at the edge of the room, awaiting further instruction.]

At least they left you your hands. Find a pen, get over here, and lets get this over with.
[Everything hurt, suddenly. His head was pulsing, his body felt completely off balance and wrong, and his chest--
Well, he wasn't going to think about that.]

She has to feel along the counter (and she leaves smears of blood behind, from the candy red that has found its way onto her hands), but she eventually locates a pen. And she's sure that it's a pen, rather than a pencil; Karkat was specific about the writing utensil.
Kanaya emerges from behind the counter to approach Karkat, until she is directly in front of him ("get over here" meant she must report to him) with the pen in hand. Though she cannot see, she looks straight up into his face.
What is her next order?]

He could help her along a little -- it would get things done faster.]
Follow me.
[Walking on six legs instead of eight will be awkward, but he'll be able to lean on her a little if the conditioning kicks in properly. One spidery limb moves around her as he sits up and starts to walk toward the nearest table. He'll grab a stack of mail supplies once he's got her in a chair.]
