Format: Action
Summary: Egbertian luck is bad as usual as they happen across a malfunctioning Bro while trying to avoid tower craziness. They manage to survive the encounter, only to die at the hands of a none-too-pleased, clockwork'd little brother.
Warnings: Language, body horror, a toasted marshmallbro, and scrambled egs

[You would think that they would have come to the conclusion of staying together in these sorts of circumstances a lot sooner than they did. You would think, but you would be wrong. Such is the Egbert way of life.]

[They'd been moving from floor to floor, avoiding all the droned inhabitants to the best of their abilities. They never stayed on any particular floor for too long and only ventured near the staircases when tey were absolutely sure that there was nobody there. And so far, they'd managed to do a pretty good job of avoiding death. Guess it really is true what they say about two heads vs. one.]

[Currently, they were hiding out on the doll floor, sticking to the edge of the room and trying to avoid thinking about how creepy the stares of the dolls and puppets were.]

Okay, my vote is that we leave this floor and head up to the ball pit, what say you? Not only does it have better cover but it's less...creepy. This is a very creepy floor.

[The cool thing here is that the bigger John doesn't realize it either. Probably just some over sized puppet no big deal.]

Alive? Screwed up looking? I don't know. Those are just some of my favorite terms to describe this kind of room. But we should get going before someone finds us.

[Whoa. Rude. Do you not see him here?

He shifts a little, moving to step towards them. Without realizing it, he bumps a puppet and it falls to the floor. The head breaks off, and as fate would have it, it rolls forward towards the boys, right at one of the John's feet.]

The first one. But yeah, let's blo--! [John cuts off at the sound of something falling, spinning around on the spot towards the source of the noise. He reaches for the hammer tied horribly to his back and completely misses the fact that there's something rolling towards them on the floor.]

Sh...shit! One of them IS alive! [He takes a step towards the staircase before noticing something incredibly familiar about this particular puppet's eyes...] Wait is that...oh jesus fucking christ, who DIDN'T get fucked over by Jason?! Was it really just us? What the fucking hell.

[John. John now is really not the time to be getting pissed off and bordering another tantrum.]

[Nope, the bigger John didn't just jump three fucking feet into the air. No way! He is so done with this tower. So, so, so, so done with this tower! Everyone they came in contact with got fucked over by that asshole.

It's official. John came in on the worst month POSSIBLE.]

[Wow, do you really not want to see him at all, you guys? His feelings are hurt. Except no they're not, because he's still malfunctioning. He's just going to take another step towards them now that they've been alerted to the presence in the room.

[At least he's finally moving towards the stairs now though. Nope. Nope fuck this, getting out of here right now. Bye, Bro.]

[Yup, have you ever seen two boys run so fast for the stairs? BET NOT! See you later, Bro!]

[Little John is so far from the point right now and yeah the running is happening.]

[Priorities. You both have them. But something is clicking in his mind. The puppet head on the floor. Guess whose malfunctioning brain isn't realizing he's the one who broke it? That's right. He's thinking one of you did it.

So guess what he's doing? He's bending down and picking up the puppet head and lobbing it at the back of one of your heads. Hard.]

[Wow, rude Bro! The taller John is conked in the head with the puppet head and he turned on a dime.]

[He holds his hand out at the smaller John.]

Dude, can I borrow that hammer?

[Karma, Big John. Karma.]

What, why?! I thought we were making a break for it?! Blowing the popsicle stand, getting the hell out of dodge, absconding like we have never absconded before!

[And yet he still stopped to argue...]

[Yeah. So. Now that you've stopped to argue, Bro is just going to take the opportunity to sneak around the two of them and block the stairs. You broke a fucking puppet, so he has some words for you. Except not really. His mind is slowly starting to peg the two of them as enemies. They broke a puppet! That is grounds for termination. Major, painful termination.

So once he's blocking the stairs, he is just going to slooowly start heading towards them. Picking up the pace as he gets closer. Then he's going to lunge at one of them, the one asking for a weapon, and try and wrap his hands around his throat.]

[longwinded]

[Okay so while Bro is rushing at bigger John, he goes behind the shorter John's back and starts making a grab for the hammer which he is literally having to untie from the other's back.]

Oh my god, we are totally going to have a conversation about how stupid you are for doing this with your hammer while that completely lunatic Bro charges at us.

Really convenient man. Just, A plus job.

[Oh god, oh fuck, oh damn he is not gonna get this untied in time.]

Again, I thought we were running!! Here, quit it hold on I'll get it.

[John attempts to help the other untie the hammer. He really needs to get something better to hold this damn thing. Do they make sheathes for hammers? Like is that a thing? Because he totally needs one.]

[This is just making everything worse, in all likelihood, but eventually they'll manage to get the hammer free. Though chances are it won't be in time to stop Bro.]

[Silly children. Don't you know that you're just making it easier for Bro? It's practically effortless for him to get close enough to lunge. His hands wrap around John's neck from behind and squeeze very hard. It's clear he is going for the kill.]

[But why didn't Bro go for the John that actually had the hammer. The handle slips out of his grip and suddenly all airways are blocked off no matter how much he tries to breathe.

It's becoming a fucking struggle at this point.

ALTERNATE SELF, SEND HELP????]

[He's got your...his...their...you know what, fuck it. YOUR BACK IS HAD, bro-self!!!!]

[Now that he has full control of the hammer, John lifts it and aims a particularly hard swing at Bro's back. He's going for the crazy damage bonk here.]

[There's the sound of hammer meeting skin and it collapses in a little. His skin tears slightly and a little blood soaks his shirt. But it doesn't appear that anything really happened. They can't see it, but underneath his shirt where the skin is torn, blood-stained smuppet fluff is poking from inside.

The action really just makes his squeeze tighter, pressing his nails in hard to really block them airways. Do you feel skin breaking yet? It's hard enough to certainly do that.]

[longwinded]

[John's eyes widen, and he's starting to get fuzzy and panic. No no no no no no he was not going to be choked to death. Focus John focus, become the wind. Just fucking do it you idiot and get some air.

Sorry Bro, your chokehold was shortlived as John remembers being the wind is a thing he can do. He reappears behind the other John.]

What the-- [No effect? Maybe he just didn't swing hard enough. John winds up again, hitting bro with more force in the same place a second time. The results are the same though. Kind of hard to damage something with no innards, after all.]

[Luckily, the other John manages to windy thing his way out of there before John has much of a chance to panic.]

Yeah, no prob. But seriously, amsrcay! Now!

[The third blow to Bro probably isn't necessary. But John's hoping for a time bonk to give them a little more time to escape. But since he's not really getting solid hits, Fear no Anvil's time powers fail to kick in, once again.]

[But oh well, time to fucking run for it once more!]

[He's vaguely confused when John windys out of his grip. It takes him a moment to realize he materialized behind him. The hit to Bro really doesn't do much at all except cause him to stumble forward. The third one catches him in the stomach and causes him to double over a little, but. Then he sees John with the hammer, and suddenly the kid is in his radar. Fuck the bigger John, it's little John he's going to go after now.

So yeah, that sure is a bleeding Bro running at him now, trying to tackle him to the ground.]

[Oh hell to the no, Bro. Bigger John will not let Bro lay a finger on his alternate self. John grabs the Fear no Anvil hammer and takes a good swing at Bro. Whether or not he was able to activate it was a different story. He didn't use this hammer as much as he should have.

Hm.]

Take that, asshole.

[INSIST THEY AMSCRAY JOHN...]

[Yeah. You know that inexperience with the hammer? It's not going in your favor, Johnny boy. Bro manages to dodge the swing and now he's tackling smaller John to the ground, hard, and trying to get his hands around his neck.]

[John gets the wind knocked out of him entirely as Bro slams him into the ground. Disoriented, Stars blink in and out in his field of vision as his head spins. And with Bro going for his throat on top of all this? Well it doesn't exactly bode well.]

[longwinded]

[Missing is kind of embarrassing. So when the two slam to the ground, John goes into action- raising the hammer and bringing it down hard over Bro's head.

He wasn't one for attacking people like this. He didn't WANT to kill Bro. But if he had to....well...he had to.]

[He's just getting his hands closed around John's neck when the blow comes.

What did you expect to happen, John?

Because what happens is probably not something you ever could've imagined. The back of his head caves in, the force of the blow sending his head forward and smacking right into John's face. Those pointy anime shades don't feel too good when they're slamming into you, do they, John? Oops.

But instead of brain goo spilling out, the only thing they'll see is the smuppet fluff, sticking out bloody and fluffy from around the bits of bone and sunken skin. It's disorienting enough for Bro to roll off of John for the moment, but he's very clearly Not Dead as he slowly moves to get up, blood dripping from the back of his head. His shades were knocked off and you're getting none too happy looking orange eyes glaring at the both of you as he stands.]
