Setting: Dormitories.
Format: Starting off in brackets.
Summary: Germany is determined to get back on his feet. It's not going so well.
Warnings: Mentions of surgery things.

[Due to his lack of muscles, it's been difficult for Germany to move around on his own since returning to the tower. Italy has been helping him get about and bringing him food, but after a few days he's beginning to feel restless. Lying around in bed is not going to improve his current condition.

He's taking a slow and unsteady walk through the dormitory halls, often having to stop to rest against a wall.]

[Prussia wasn't angry, no he was downright pissed. He helped his brother walk along the corridor , seething to himself before he caught Ludwig's ashamed look.]

West, this isn't your fault.

I know it's not, but...

[He falters for a moment.]

I feel like a liability now.

[Prussia made a face and sighed, patting Ludwig's side gently so as not to hurt him.]

Believe me, you're not for how much you've put up with my bitching and moaning in the last fifty years.

How am I meant to protect anyone like this though?

[That was a hard call and had Gilbert looking over Ludwig with an unreadable expression before muttering.]

How about you let the rest of us protect you for once West?

[Germany stares, looking almost bewildered by the suggestion.]

But...

[He frowns, then looks down at the floor uncertainly.]

Look, you can't look after yourself like this so shut up and deal. You... you'll be back to normal soon enough.

[Prussia's just going to shut up, this is the most vocal concern he's shown for West in ages, the tower must be starting to get to him.]

You don't know that for certain.

[It is sort of odd to hear Prussia's concern for him, but still, he appreciates it.]

...but thank you for the attempt at reassurance.

No....[It made the albino even more on edge, no he didn't know anything for certain, he hadn't for a long time. But dammit he was sick and tired of this place and hearing West so depressed.]

Yeah, look, you will get better, you always do. Just stick out the rough shit and you'll be back to normal in no time.

[Germany always has been a pessimist, and he knows fine well that this isn't a problem that can easily be overcome. He isn't just going to wake up one morning and find he's back to his old self. If only.]

Yea, where were you trying to go anyway? You're in no shape to be wandering around.

[Prussia shifted his grip on keeping Ludwig standing, and walked along the hallway. He had the nagging feeling something was off with him, then chalked it up to the strange routine he'd fallen into. He assumed the tower was pulling more tricks and it had to be the collars fault. His fingers brushed it and he gave it a sharp tug, the violet band not budging in the least.]

I just wanted the exercise. My condition isn't going to improve if I'm just laying in bed or letting Italy haul me around.

[He watches Prussia yank at his collar, shaking his head in disapproval.]

I wouldn't mess with that.

You were letting Italy haul you around? Hell that guy is so weak he might as well be a paper weight.

[But Prussia will give him a sour look and tug again which only result in him getting a Zap from the collar. Yelping he'll let it go and look around]

The fuck? Did it just zap me?!

He insisted. And he did try his best.

[He rolls his eyes.]

[Prussia will rub his neck, that had hurt and really sucked, he certainly won't try that again.]

You know Italy loves the hell out of you right? Give the guy a break once in a while and humour him, course sometimes even I want to punch him when he gets to the point of crying and flailing.

[This is why you should listen to your little brother, Prussia.]

Platonically, perhaps. I've never wanted to cause him unnecessary distress, though.

[Your older brother is going to give you an unbelieving look and roll his eyes]

And people say I'm the thick one? Besides having you wandering around like this is probably enough to have him break down into tears. Guy can't handle any stress without caving.

You know... I'm actually thinking of teaming up with the damn Russian to find a way out of this hellhole.

I suppose in a situation like this we can't afford to be picky about our allies.

Not if the Ruskie can get us out of here. That guy seems to be able to get out of anything.

He's crazy enough to go as far as it takes, so yeah I think the crazy Russian will.
