Summary: It isn't often that Satsuki makes her presence known, but while avoiding a certain boy, she may come out of her usual lurking spots... Additional prompts available via plotting.
Warnings: Mention of blood on floor 32.

    ►►► DORMITORIES;
[ Since the departure of her best friend, the Back Alley Alliance dwindled down to a single individual by the name of Satsuki Yumizuka. While she does toy with the idea of rebuilding, maybe it was time to hang up her hat on those days of popularity (she's never been popular, let's get that straightened out) to begin a new one. At least she thought that was a good idea up until her boyfriend (can she even call him that anymore?) killed her.

So despite how awkward life has been for her, Satsuki makes more of an appearance in her room (2-11) in order to possibly meet her roommates as well as the regular hallways. She doesn't outright greet anyone and instead behaves like a shy high school student. Well, she does look the part at least? ]

    ►►► FLOOR 27;
[ There's no point in letting a lot of research go to waste or so Satsuki thinks. Sion left a significant chunk of documentation around, so she'll be sitting in the lab today with one of them trying her best to mix the chemicals. Unfortunately, Satsuki is no alchemist so there may be an explosion or some kind of gas flooding the floor briefly. At least she seems very apologetic for it! ]

    ►►► FLOOR 92;
[ A pyramid is something Satsuki might have not visited recently if it weren't for the disappearance of her bestie. Since Sion had a great interest in this place, she can only wander here in hopes of discovering something that she can take back to her room to remind her of it. Not much of a collector, Satsuki will be overlooking the golden treasures in favor of more simplistic things. ]

    ►►► FLOOR 32;
[ A floor with supernatural powers disabled doesn't attract much attention save for the fact there are several animals here people hunt for food. Satsuki is one of those people and while she can hunt on other floors, here it felt better. Whether it was the mystical powers of the floor keeping her vampirism under check or the way blood tastes when she's like this, it's enough to keep her focused on her goals. Remain true to her human roots the best she can, how fortunate she is that this floor can do that for her. If anyone comes across her on this floor though, she'll likely be draining the blood of a rabbit into a couple containers from the kitchen. Nasty, huh? ]

[After more than a few days, he's finally down it. Found the illusive shiny Satsuki.

Well, it's more like he was just checking in to peek if she was around and there she was.

He had things to say to her. Lots of things, really. But talking to yourself over it and actually doing it in reality was always a completely different ballgame. That and being pretty sure that she was avoiding him wasn't helping at all either.

HE HAD TO DO THIS.]

Uh...ah...

...this isn't a bad time, is it?

No?

[ She sounds so unsure because there's no way he noticed that she was avoiding him, right? If she plays it cool, then maybe she can walk away from this without him ever finding out.

They're both idiots. ]

[Aaaaaaaaand he totally forgot what he was going to say.]

You probably really hate me right now, don't you?

Haa, n-no way??

[ That wouldn't be very good girlfriend behavior. ] What makes you think that?

I'm not blaming you for anything but it's kind of obvious that you're, uh...staying away from me. So I just figured...

[yumizuka]

How is that obvious? [ A small huff to defend what little pride she has. ]

I'm your girlfriend. It'd be weird if I was avoiding you!

So we've just unintentionally been missing each other, even after I asked to meet with you?

[Just wondering pal.]

[yumizuka]

I didn't read your note until it was too late..? [ Okay fine, maybe she's guilty of it just a bit.

But to be fair, he did kind of kill her. ]

I don't really mind that you're staying out of my way. Well, I do mind because I want to see you but I get why you wouldn't so I don't mind.

[That doesn't make any sense.]

What I'm really trying to say is that I'm sorry and I'd like to make it up to you somehow.

[yumizuka]

Um...

[ Give her a moment to work out those negatives in her mind to try to decipher what he means. ]

Sorry, I shouldn't have been avoiding you. Just... just no one usually is that, um, I've fought a you before! [ And didn't die. ]

[Stepping closer. He doesn't want to frighten her...]

It's fine, really. I guess it's important to know if you hate me right now or not though.

[ MELTY BLOOD GIRLS DON'T SCARE EASY. ]

H-Hate you?! Why would I hate you?! [ She sounds DESPAIRED at the thought. ]

Maybe not hate but dislike...?

[CLOSER.]

[ At least she's not backing down from her spot. That's proof enough, isn't it? ]

That's the opposite of like!

[Floor 92]

There's a popping noise, like that of a brown paper bag being blown up to bursting. Atop one of the piles of gold sits an apparently sleeping young man with a tattered straw hat atop his head. Like a bird bobbing its head for water, the young man nods back and forth with a soft snore, the popping of a bubble rising from a single nostrol as he rests.

"zzZ.. hrrnn.. zzZ.. -POP!- zzZ.. g-gold.. zzZ.."

[yumizuka]

The initial instinct (that of being a vampire) is to be fully alert at the strange noises, but once Satsuki sees the sight before her? Those shoulders of hers slump just a little as she gives a nervous laugh.

"That can't... be comfortable?" The girl whispers loud enough to be heard if he wasn't in too deep of a slumber. Approaching him took more courage, but once she finds it, she'll lean over to poke his shoulder. "Um, hello there? Are you under the mummy's curse to sleep an eternity?"

So she has no idea if the mummy here can do that.

It just seems like the right question to ask.

The young lad stirs, his eyelids blinking with such speed that they almost seemed as if they were trying to lift him off of the ground. Shaking his head, Luffy looked the young girl up and down, puzzled and confused at his surroundings.

"Huh? Musta' dozed off.."

Gripping the hat atop his head with the a single hand, he peered underneath his backside to see that his post was still secure.

"Ahh! The gold is still here! Shishishi~! I was worried it might go missing if I passed out! Phew- That's a relief!"

Standing up straight, he dusts a few pieces of jewelry and gold from his person. It takes a few moments before he realizes the girl was standing in front of him.

".. Who're you? This isn't your pyramid, is it?"

[yumizuka]

"Huh, my pyramid?" She'll point towards herself in confusion as though to clarify. "No, I think it belongs to the mummy."

Who she hasn't seen around for a few passes. A pause to wonder how long she's been wandering around the sandy labyrinth before she gives him her attention once more.

"If you were worried about it missing when you went to sleep, why did you go to sleep?"

[gomu_ningen]

"Dunno! I guess I got really tired all of a sudden! Ha ha! I haven't had any meat in a long while so I've been pretty drained of energy!

Say, you wouldn't happen to have any food on ya', would you?"

[yumizuka]

"Food?"

Unfortunately, the only time Satsuki eats is whenever someone asks her to. Regular food doesn't fill her up any. Only one thing does that and she's had her fill for the time being.

"No, I didn't think about bringing any. I normally don't carry any on me, sorry."

[gomu_ningen]

"Ahh- That's okay!"

He hops off the small pile of fortune, brushing his pants off once again as he reassures himself that his hat was still upon his head.

"What's a girl doing in this pyramid, huh?"

He didn't think it odd that a girl would be by herself in a pyramid, but more so the fact that a person was by themselves in the pyramid.. Even though he had been doing the same thing.

[yumizuka]

"I was looking for a memento to remind me of my best friend that left the tower a couple weeks ago."

Oddly specific, but Satsuki has no need for secrets. "She was interested in coming here, so I thought if I could get something neat to show her when she comes back..."

Sadly, she is optimistic enough to believe Sion will make a return.

"What about you? Are you a treasure hunter?"

[gomu_ningen]

"Oh. That's kinda' sad, but also pretty good. Hopefully they got home safe."

[His grin widened, those pearly whites shining brite and fresh.]

"Yeah! I'm the man who's going to become the King of the Pirates! I'm looking for the greatest treasure in the world!"

[yumizuka]

"The King of the Pirates?"

Scratching the back of her head, she thinks on what it means to become that. "Don't you need to have a ship to become a pirate? Without one, you're just an ordinary looter."

[gomu_ningen]

"Yeah! I have a ship back where I'm from! It's the best ship to ever set sail! It's got a lawn of grass, a HUUUUUUUUGE kitchen and an aquarium we can put fish that we catch into for later, a hot bath, a submarine, and it all runs on cola!"

[Luffy merely begins to laugh happily as he recalls the details of his steady and wonderful craft.]

"Being a pirate isn't all about the gold! It's about the adventure, being free and not having to live by the rules! What about you? What's 'yer name?"
