I believe in nothing
Characters: Chidori, open
Setting: Throughout the tower.
Format: Starting in brackets, but it's whatever bros
Summary: Chidori ponders the point of the tower after hearing about the experiments. She is not a happy camper.
Warnings: Angst, because the Strega kids+experiments= angst.
[Experiments.
Test subjects.
Expendable lab rats to the last, every one of them.
Chidori wandered the tower, a proverbial stormcloud following her as she slipped in and out of rooms, keeping clear of floors that were likely to unsettle her or Medea as best she could. She would find Minato, eventually- discuss with him what had happened to some of the others, ask what they should do. She didn't want to become a subject to be bent and broken at the whim of scientists, not again- her time under the 'care' of the Kirijo group had given her more of that than she or any of them would have ever wanted. Just thinking of the dark, the cells, the needles and drugs and cold metal instruments made her blood boil and her stomach churn- anger and indignation warring with instinctive, visceral fear.
She didn't want to go back to that world. Not when she'd already escaped it once.
In the back of her mind, Medea whispered of flames and carnage, but Chidori stamped her down with a ferocity she usually didn't bother with, taking a higher dose of suppressants than usual to do so. She'd pay for it in headaches and an upset stomach later but for now, she needed the quiet- Medea's rage didn't need to fuel Chidori's any more than it already had. So she wandered, letting her emotions sort themselves out with each step- and as soon as she knew what she needed to say, she'd find Minato and they would sort this out together.]

The thoughts and fears of others had only fed the boys courage: he had to find an exit and save everyone! Unfortunately, his quest for finding one hadn't necessarily been fruitful, it was weeks now and he was still trapped inside their edifice of a prison.
Through his exploration, he came across a girl, blue eyes catching the locks of red before anything else, and he halted. He curved his lips into a weak smile as salutations.]

Are you new here?

Are you?
no subject
[She figures anyone who's been here more than a day or two can't be considered 'new' with how often people appear.]
You haven't been experimented on.
[There's a barely-discernible note of relief in her voice at the observation- one more person they haven't gotten to, at least.]

[He paused to let the woman past his legs trembling a little, he smiled in greeting though since his mouth and nose were stretched away from his face like a deers, and mostly exposed bone with no skin to cover it the expression probably looked more gastly than he wanted it to. Large antlers sat on top of his head, which meant he held himself in a strange way, compensating for the extra weight.]
no subject
Have you?
no subject
[She doesn't elaborate much on that though, and her eyes flicker over him again, studious and just the slightest bit curious.]
Who are you?
no subject
[And he stuck his hand out. She was a girl, after all. A very pretty girl. He had to be a gentleman!]
no subject
Chidori.
no subject
[Forgive Link, he likes to repeat names just to make sure he got them right. He pulled his hand back.]
no subject
A boy. At least she assumed so. Perhaps not, perhaps he'd always been like this. There was only one way to find out.]
Hello. Who are you?
no subject
[There was the faintest trace of good humor in her voice and she inclined her head again, her own hand slipping to her side.]
You never told me if you were new or not.

no subject
[Because he can't remember when he arrived and its felt like an eternity. He misses the forest.]
Have you ever seen a place like this before?
no subject
[The tower was too bright, too open. Deceptively so, considering what they were here for.]
But similar enough.

[His voice is younger than she'd anticipated, and she feels her lips curve in displeasure. These people...]
How old are you?
