Characters: Fayt Leingod and whoever runs across him.
Setting: Dormitory room 2-08 and various first block floors.
Format: Action. I’m also willing to follow along prose if you prefer that.
Summary: Fayt arrives in the tower.
Warnings: He's not exactly going to be very happy about this.
Room 2-08 and dormitory levels
[To be waking up in a strange room, in a strange place, wasn’t exactly the outcome Fayt had expected after everything that had happened recently. Not that he even knew what he expected to happen after they couldn't stop that program, but this didn't feel like it at all.
The first letter, when he opens it, is like a punch in the gut. The message was short and simple, almost horribly cheerful, for the information it contained. Fayt didn't want to believe it. There had to be another explanation, because he was sure the last thing he remembered hadn't been completely emptiness.
So of course, the first thing he does after reading through both letters is to change out of the awkwardly tight outfit he'd woken up in into something more familiar from the trunk at the foot of his bed and try to find someone who knows more than he does. He'll be wandering the halls of the dormitory, seeking out anyone he comes across for answers. Maybe he could find whoever was sharing that room with him... the other sections of the room did look occupied.]
Floor three library
[After spending some time on the dormitory level, Fayt takes to exploring the tower, taking the long elevator ride to the bottom. He’ll be lingering in the library on floor 3 the longest, hoping to find some more information. Fayt will be browsing determinedly through the shelves trying to find something on this place, but he’s failing, much to his frustration. Some of the books do seem interesting, though, and he can occasionally be found picking his way through the shelves, a pair of reading glasses perched on his face as he glances over random books.]
Cafeteria
[A while later he makes his way to the cafeteria to get a bite to eat, but he’s hesitant about the oatmeal. Why the insistence on eating that first? It seemed pretty odd, really. Fayt’s going to be deliberating on that for a bit before he decides what to do. Someone should probably stop him before he does something he’ll regret.]
Floor four
[He makes his way to floor four after that, and he takes in the view of the world outside the windows for a while, glancing out over the clouds and hoping to see something besides the obscured view. It was a roomy lounge, but he really would have preferred to see something of their surroundings. Was this really all that was out there?]
Floor five
[On floor five, Fayt wanders around a bit before finding the viewing stations. He spends some time eyeing them, wondering if he honestly wanted to know what sights they contained yet, let alone if he could trust them. He wasn’t sure what to believe, if the viewing stations were genuine or not, but he knew what he didn’t want to believe.]

I've heard that its wise to pick up a weapon around here, or at least learn to fight if you don't already know. If anything, it at least might be something to try.

I'm wondering how bad it's going to get, myself.

[Because he didn't need them.]
From what I've heard, it might be 'interesting.' How interesting it is remains to be seen.

It's probably better to try and be prepared for anything.

But I plan to try out a few. It's not my specialty, but it's something to do for a hobby that could actually become useful.

You never know when you're going to have to fight. [Ironic, considering that Fayt only really knew how to use a sword before he landed on Vanguard thanks to battle simulations. Games... But he probably wouldn't have survived even that long if he hadn't had such a 'useless' hobby.] Every option give you something to work with, right?

[A cop? A public official?]

I helped maintain the peace, of course.

[He wanted to make his own choices in life, for once.]

If you're trying to avoid fighting though? I get the feeling this place won't be that kind.
[He's vaguely assuming this guy is a cop.]

I'd prefer to avoid it, but I'll do so if it's on my own terms.
[He didn't want to fall into that trap again. When he thought about it, he never even wanted to be a hero. It was just all he was groomed for.]
