Rebel 1: Action!!
Characters: Makoto Nanaya and a buncha other doods (Psst, that's you guys.)
Setting: The Library (Floor 3), the Media Room (Floor 14) and Anywhere Else (SHARK. SHARK PARTY.)
Format: Aaaaction spam!!
Summary: Makoto does things. Mostly like exploring, experimenting and researching just wtf's going on. There might also be some shark punching and vidja games, but I'm sure everything's happening for a perfectly understandable and justifiable reason. Somewhere in there.
Warnings: Slight language, most likely. Will update.
Library
[Zip, zilch, nadda and nothing.
Who woulda guessed that neither Library would've contained a single damn text useful at all to the situation? Anyone? Show of hands? ... Yeah, her either, but at least the variety was nice - not to mention the peculiar removal of certain books and genres. Psychology, technology, astral projection... Plus History's been yoinked entirely? Seems kinda fishy, especially once you get on the network to do the math.
What math? Why, it's elementary!
If you can manage to piece together how these faulty machines work, filtering juicy details on the Network can be a snap - especially things that may have, y'know, kinda sorta maybe been "deleted" in the past. It's enough to make for one helluva freshman orientation that alleviates a lot of problems up-front, mainly in figuring out just what the hell's been going on as well as what's happened in the past... Particularly useful given last month's clusterfuck and the beefed up security that followed suit. Girl can't go around interviewing people without them giving you the stink eye - and how can you tell who's legit and who isn't in this place? There's just too many variables.
Anyhow, the important bit is that apparently these bodies are fake - which would explain the astral projection, and she's willing to bet all the pecans that History's not gone due to being the most boring subject on the planet, but the fact that something happened here that might be similar to what's apparently happened to her home. Maybe these Administrators are experimenting some sorta fix? Or.. they were. Until they got their jollies off on playing the world's most demented game of "Operation" on its inhabitants. W h u p s. At least the whole 'fake bodies' thing explains the lack of the technology and psychology sections as well.
Can't piece together this space whale bit, though. Which is what leaves her dumbfounded at the nearest network terminal, feet kicked up on a nearby pile of books]
Media Room
[No dig dug.
Y'know? She was only kidding about the dig-dug thing before. Hell, she's only REALLY played the game once and it's old as hell, but none of the classics are here! Or anything else recognizable, for the matter, but it could be worse. There's only so many times you can "HD TURBO REMIX EDITION" the same fighting games before they get stale - or you wanna put a controller through the TV because you JUST bought the same game last month -- but that's a story for anotherthread time.
S'ides, there's tons of other games here she's never even heard of! And creepy TV static aside, this floor wasn't so bad! Beats the hell outta the meat dimension or the room with all the blood and screaming ... Seriously, the heck's up with that? Bug a gaming squirrel?]
Anywhere Else
[Back in the day, Papa Makoto would go deep sea fishing when he wasn't too busy flexing his pecs in Momma's general direction. Naturally, being the oldest, wisest and most favored child in the Nanaya family,(not bias at all. nope.) Makoto got a few rare opportunities to see just what it was like to wrestle gigantic, near demonic sea-beasts to death with nothing but her bare hands, an acorn and a metric shitton of determination - a specific set of skills that she puts to use on the aquarium floor. Or rather, a set of skills she's already demonstrated, as Makoto can be found venturing back down through the floors quite literally dragging a gigantic shark corpse in tow.
The scariest part is that she doesn't look any worse for wear! That and this is apparently the most normal thing on the planet with how nonchalant she is about the whole thing.]

But what she did enjoy was shooting zombies. A lot. And bullets weren't entirely unfamiliar to her since she just assumed it was magic. Kind of like Marisa's magical items but this one seemed to have a counter on how many times it could be shot.
Getting used to the controls was difficult but Reimu happened to be a natural at anything she picked up (blessed by the gods and all that) so she was having fun.
But right now, she burst into the room to steal a spot to play games on. And Miss Familiar was over here.]
Yo!

Yo Reimu! Pull up a seat, I'm just about to beat a record! You want in?

[Whether or not she wants in, she grabs a seat by her to sit in.]
What are you even doing?
Jeez Reimu no need to flip me off!

[ Don't mind the loud girl suddenly popping up there. She's standing behind where Makoto is sitting, her face an obvious expression of surprise. With the way this tower seemed, she didn't think they'd actually have good things, but.. well, this doesn't seem half bad. She's amazed enough. ]

[Makoto looks back at the girl with a smile]
But hey, I'm not gonna turn down the offer! I'll take this over the ballpit or meat dimension anyday.

He's making quite the racquet for someone playing a 2600, but nothing like this even existed in Luffy's world, so forgive him if he shouts and screams like Tarzan one too many times.
He'll have his back to the squirrel, only slightly oblivious to her pressence as he dodged the many pitfalls and ropes on the screen. For an amateur, he wasn't half bad.
no subject
"Eeey, not half bad! You new at this?" color her impressed! Might this spindley lookin' guy provide a genuine challenge?! She'll have to monitor him a bit more closely.
no subject
"Huh? A pretty squirrel?"
There's a bit of silence before Luffy is literally pressing his nose against her own, staring deep and hard into her eyes as they squint.
".. Have you seen a reindeer man around here?"

Needless to say, the frantic action of Makoto's videogaming was a bit more interesting then talking to people via text and garbled video.
"Now what do we have here?" She said looking just over the squirrel-girl's shoulder.
no subject
"Oh this?" she snickers, kicking her feet up onto a nearby table as she basks in the fact that she's already garnering an audience. "Ain't nothing special, just your run 'o the mill space racing game! The graphics are a little substandard and I prefer Wipeout myself, bu-" Woah, woah, woah, woah. How come nobody told Makoto her audience was such a BABE?
Ignore the fact that she just wiped out, Aversa.
"... Whups. Hey, whatevs! Wanna give it a shot? S' much easier to explain if we're racing eachother!" And now she's offering you that same controller. "Don't worry, stick it out with me and you'll be thrashin' newbs in no time flat!"
no subject
"This "game" seems interesting enough." Aversa spoke with one hand held close to her chin. "I imagine it won't hurt to try for a little bit."
Taking the controller from Makoto, she fiddles with it for a moment before crashing her vehicle into a nearby wall and letting out a string of curses in a strange language.
"It appears I need assistance."

That game gets boring really fast, try this one instead. The gameplay's way better.

What he found instead was a woman with squirrel features hauling a large shark corpse towards the stairs. Makoto will be on the receiving end of the first of likely many incredulous stares.*

Heya! Uhm, you think it'll be cool if I take this lil' fellah downstairs to whip up some grub? I can't stand the greenhouse special we've got this month.
