Training to Destress

Format: Prose, but I'll match
Summary: Hei tries to ease his mind while training.
Warnings: violence, possibly nudity in spa, and will be updated if necessary.

Floor 1:

As always, Hei was at the cafeteria, cooking up some more meat. He made sure to gather a whole lot of materials for such a thing, mainly vegetables to add some flavor, and of course various meats he saved from killing some sharks and deer. The supply was eventually go bad, so he might as well have cooked it now. There were even plates laid out, no doubt for those new here. He made sure to put up a sign as well, letting everyone know they can eat it. However, there was a warning regarding the oatmeal to eat that first though, less they liked to throw up.

One can even his mogwai Mao aiding him, giving him the tools he needed.

Floor 27:

After telling Homura of this place, Hei had an idea. Materia was great for spell-casting, but he needed more weaponry, more ways to make sure he was ahead of the game. One can see him making small pellets, no bigger than a large gumdrop ball. These were meant to be smoke pellets at least, though he needed to make sure they worked. After all, chemistry wasn't his strongest suit, and it had been over a year since his memory could aid him. Being trapped in a facility filled with torture and then a tower as well did not aid him too much.

Floor 30:

Dark, filled with powerful creatures, and no one else was around...perfect. Right now, Hei needed to get in some exercise, and he was certainly getting it. Many creatures surrounded him, the strange shadow creatures, mixing Neoshadows and Darkballs. Hei was panting, two orbs glowing on his belt. The Materia were of great aid, but it was clear Hei needed to retreat.

He steps back, the tendrils of the Neoshadow zipping past and striking him. Yet he still stood, glaring at the creature. One can easily see an aura surround him, clearly magic at work. He puts his hand in the shadow, electricity building and released with a sudden burst. The shadow died in that instant, twitching violently before vanishing into black air.

His gaze fell upon the others, raising his knives. Another one down, and he just needed an opening. One of the Materia on the belt seemed to shine brighter as he was readying another spell, the ground below shaking too.

Floor 77:

Sometimes this was the best thing to do, and it was clear he needed some time away from everything stressful, before he went insane again. One can find him in the unisex rooms, unknowingly wandering into it, and he didn't really care. A good chance to earn more information at any rate. He was clad only in a towel, laying against the wall as the heat engulfed him. Certainly a good place to ease some stresses of life at least, even if temporary.

 Floor 14:

Taking more breaks than he was used to was harder than he thought, but necessary. With so much things getting done, he had hardly allowed himself any time dedicated to this. With Mao next to him, he had been watching a variety of animated movies, mainly of the superhero called Superman. At the facility, there was a clone of him, and he wanted to know more. Movies seemed the most logical route. Hei though leans forward as he watches the movies, particularly vs The Elite, interested.

"Certainly one way to solve a problem," he spoke. "Too bad killing is sometimes the only option."

[ For once, Hidetoshi had no complaints about the menu offered in the cafeteria. It was a pleasant change of pace. Taking the elevator downstairs for lunch and walking into the cafeteria, Hidetoshi picked up a plate (he left the ones, filled with cooked meat and laid out for the newcomers, alone) piled a selection of food onto it, and greeted Hei politely; ]

Good afternoon.

[ He looked familiar, this man. ]

Good afternoon.

[Hei had not turned his head, still focusing on adding some more seasoning. Mao the mogwai on the other turned to Hidetoshi and waved its little arms.]

[That little, furry face is a tad unnerving, but it doesn't seem harmful. Hidetoshi bent down, balancing his plate of food and held out one hand to the mogwai.]

Is he yours?

[fusedstars]

[The mogwai shakes Hidetoshi's hand, still keeping up the smile. Hei glances at the two.]

He is.

[altitonant_emperor]

[Okay, slightly unsettling face aside, this little creature was cute. Hidetoshi could now place its owner's face in his memories. Hei had been one of the other residents who'd been trapped in that wet dungeon with the water tentacle monster where Hidetoshi broken his arm.]

May I ask what his name is?

[fusedstars]

His name is Mao.

[A pause.]

How is your arm faring?

[altitonant_emperor]

[Moa gets a couple stiff, kind pets on the head then.]

My arm?

[He withdraws his hand from the little creature and rests it on said arm for a moment.]

Fully recovered, thankfully. A friend's acquaintance offered to heal it for me after that entire mess was over with. [Survival in the everyday Tower was difficult enough without the handicap of an injury like that.]

Floor 27

[rewindingly]

[ Speaking of Homura.

Someone is there to make some pipe bombs. She looked up the recipe in the library, just to be sure her memory was absolutely right, and has since then been set up in the lab and making them one by one. Slowly, carefully...

She looks up when she hears Hei, but then goes back to her bomb making. Can't get distracted... Just give her a few minutes to finish. ]

[He notices her, and chooses to remain quiet. At this moment, he needed to let her get to work, and notices it. So young, and already making deadly weapons. A sad world she lived in for that fate. Yet resourceful too.

For now, he finishes up as well, storing the last of the pellets in his coat. Not enough materials to finish any explosives though. There was something he still needed to try out.]

[ Homura looks up after finishing her bomb. She watches him quietly for a few more seconds before voicing her curiosity. ]

What are you doing here?

[fusedstars]

[He turns his head towards Homura.]

Creating smoke pellets.

[rewindingly]

Smoke pellet?

[ ... ] How do they work?

[fusedstars]

You throw them at the ground, and it creates smoke within the area. It's usually meant for quick escapes or to lure an enemy into a trap by obscuring their view.

[rewindingly]

[ Oh. Talk about useful. She can't really get flash grenades for her escapes here, but she could use those... ]

Floor 1

Shion had been avoiding Hei since their fight. Even though he knew Hei had been under the experimentation of the administrators he felt embarrassed at how he had handled it and that they had fought, when Shion was sure he could have avoided violence somehow.

And he had died for the fifteenth time, a fact he was desperately trying to keep from Xion.

He entered the kitchen, thinking about baking now that they actually had ingredients, and froze when he saw Hei and Mao.

Mao waved at Shion, making a small noise at the presence of Shion. Hei turned, and froze as well. Right, when he was a drone, he killed Shion. He frowned. And what happened afterward was something he did not wish to recall. He was meant to protect those children, and instead he killed one.

"Shion, welcome." There wasn't much he could say.

Shion looked down. "Hello..." He wondered if he should leave, and took a step backwards towards the door.

"I'm sorry."

Hei stopped his cooking, moving towards Shion. "You have nothing to apologize for," he spoke calmly, trying to be comforting. "It was the fault of the administrators, and myself."

"It wasn't your fault... You weren't in control." Shion told him quietly forcing himself to meet Hei's eyes. "I should have been more careful..."

[fusedstars]

"When they turned me into a drone, they made me aware of what I was doing, with no way to stop it," he spoke, placing a hand on Shion's shoulder. "Do not blame yourself for anything."

Floor 1

[raichung]

[Chung was attracted to the kitchen by the smell of the cooking food.]

That smells delicious! What are you cooking, sir?

It's deer meat.

I see. From the forest here? How are you going to prepare it?

The kitchen provides enough seasonings and vegetables to give the meat more flavor and condense it without it being too greasy.
