One hectic head

Characters: Ara Haan and you.

Setting: Pick any floor that is reachable via Elevator. You will bump into her while she is in state of panic, and you might try to calm her down.

Format: Prose I guess; and will match you.

Summary: Ara explores around the tower, clueless, panic, worried, confused...all hectic.

Warnings: None for now.

The only thing she felt after waking up in an entirely unknown place for her was fear. Several questions popped out simultanously inside her head, but the few ones that made her drown in uneasy feelings were: Where is everyone..? Am I being left alone..again?

Nope, Ara couldn’t calm herself even for a moment. Without even trying to digest everything slowly, she rushed out of her dorm. The things there, inside her head, was her family and her friends.

Of course, the God-gumiho spirit that lies within her, Uun, tried to calm her down many times. But it was not really effective. Instead, it caused an inner argument between the two of them. Effectively, Uun would probably posses her out of sudden, whenever Uun feels like it.

Alone in the middle of an elevator in a mysterious place, one could see Ara’s face looking tired and pale with a hint of fear, like lost kitten long away from home.

Tear had decided to take the elevator from the dorms to the cafeteria. She would make a snack out of the flowery food before she headed back up to the hanging gardens for her midday practice. She was a little nervous about that night's training session. Both Lukes, Asch, V/V, Link and many others were planning on coming.

Part of her was excited to see the interest from the Tower's residents in what she wanted to do, but she was also worried that she would mess up as well. She wasn't like Major Legretta or the other instructors at the training academy for the Order. Her only pupil had been Luke. And while he'd gained a lot of control and even some finesse with his hyperresonance, it wasn't the same as teaching people to fight and use magics.

So, it wasn't that much of a surprise that she was so distracted that she almost ran over the young girl in the elevator. Really, she should stop doing that!

"Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you!"

[Tear noticed the dark circles around the girl's watery eyes. She'd be really cute if she was better rested and less upset.] Are you sure? You seem awfully tired. Is there something I can do to help? I'm a healer."

mysterical: (soft)

No worries! I backtag forever, you know.

[Yeah, about that, Tear's not buying it, little girl. You're like an open book for her. She bends until she is eye level with her and gives a hard look.]

Lying is a horrible habit to get into. If you're not okay, that's fine. This place isn't a nice one. If you want to cry, no one would think less of you.
mysterical: (it's cute~)

[Tear might be a soldier, but she's no heartless monster. In fact, she's pretty nice underneath all the gruffness she's had to learn to keep herself protected from the other Oracle Knights.

When the girl starts crying, she can't help but wrap her arms around her awkwardly.]

This place...is dangerous. It's not for the faint of heart.

Raven is lounging on this floor, as he's prone to do from time to time— or rather, he's thinking, standing by the windows and mulling over information as he absently observes the stars.

Even so, he's not unaware of his surroundings, as he turns to glance at whoever's exiting the elevator when it hisses open.

He doesn't recognize her, dressed as she is in the white bodysuit that new residents wake up in, but quite honestly even if she had been dressed in her own clothing he likely wouldn't have recognized her regardless, having known her for all of a couple hours at most back in Elrios.

It's the suit that catches his attention, in any case.

"...Didn't you find your belongings in your room when you woke up?"

(The suit— as well as a faint feeling of El? ...No, that can't be right. It's different, anyway.

...Similar, though.)

Reflex has him going for his sword when she transforms, right hand reaching back to grasp at its hilt while he takes a step back toward the window he's standing by. When no attack or any hostile movements come, however, he relaxes his stance slightly, though his hand doesn't stray away from the blade.

Now Raven truly is scrutinizing her where before he would've just glanced over briefly and then dismissed her. That isn't... no, it's El, only mixed with something else, which is why he'd been thrown at first. Something feeling like certain portions of Feita, but not as corrupt...

Spirits? Spiritual energy, is that what it is?

Her body language and tone just gets filed away unconsciously; it's not that which he's paying attention to. Though, right, he's carrying on a conversation. Supposed to be, at least.

"You can tell her," he begins slowly, deliberately, "that she won't be helping anyone by running into danger unprepared for it. Much less any friends she might have here in the Tower."

A lost little kitten, indeed. Mamoru noticed her the second he was on the elevator. He couldn't very well ignore her, could he? Not and hold up his image, at least.

Her panic pressed in on him, making him wish, not for the first time, that he could just shut his empathy off. Instead, he was stuck with trying to make the panic go away as quickly as possible. No one here seemed to have a proper brain, but how much could it hurt to try? He projected a sense of calm and comfort, smiling carefully at her. "Hi. Are you okay?"
the_other_path: (sigh what now?)

[personal profile] the_other_path 2013-05-18 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
...That wouldn't have fooled him even if he couldn't pick the emotions up by themselves. "Sleepy?"

Part of him wanted to stop and just... give the girl instructions on how to better hide her emotions, at least physically. That strange urge to actually help someone was probably just a reaction to all the emotional stress this place had put him under so far, and not at all related to anything he might actually be feeling. Naturally.

"You don't have to lie to me. What could telling the truth hurt? Besides, you're... you're kind of obvious."
the_other_path: (chinhands tell me more~)

No worries at all~

[personal profile] the_other_path 2013-05-23 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course it would be okay to tell him that. She could tell him anything. If he turned around and used it against her, well, that was later.

"Ooh." He nodded in a way that said he was just playing along. "I have a friend that happens to all the time."

[personal profile] the_other_path 2013-05-28 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
He nodded sympathetically. Empathetically, one might almost say, if one had a taste for bad puns. "It's okay. I noticed." For some definition of 'noticed' that meant she was all but broadcasting it to every empath in the tower.

"Did you just wake up? It's a pretty scary place, and it only gets worse the longer you're here, I think." That wasn't helpful at all, was it?

Ever since arriving, the man had barely slept. When he did, he slept during the day, when it wasn't safe for him to be roaming the outdoor floors and when he knew that his roommates would not be around to bother him. Even though he was an extreme loner, he was still the type of person who wanted to help others.

He glanced at the young woman, his face rather neutral, but concern had ebbed through his expression. "Is something wrong?" he asked her, unsure of whether or not she was a new arrival, or merely troubled.

"What is the matter?" he asked, watching her carefully. Even if he preferred to be alone, the man could not turn away from a person who was in need. It didn't matter to him if that person was a seasoned soldier, or a young woman.

"You can call me Alucard."

[personal profile] kismetatropos 2013-05-28 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
Mister Alucard. He liked the ring of that, the politeness was definitely something that he was not used to. He had not been in the tower for many weeks, but still had kept mostly to himself. He was starting to realize that that wasn't very possible, though.

"A pleasure, Ara Haan," he said gently. He didn't smile-- he didn't look very capable of it, but his expression softened. "This place does not care about a person's feelings," he said gently. "There are many here who understand what you are going through."

Ara was just in luck, then. At floor twenty-one, the elevator would stop and there would be an Aisha walking in to the said device. It was not the rarest of an occasion, but having someone else by the elevator was still a sight. Not that that was a bad thing.

The problem was that someone else was still in that bodysuit, the bodysuit that the tower 'blessed' them when they first arrived. The purple haired elemental master could easily tell that the other female was new here. And to some extend, confused.

"Umm... You're new here?"

Unfortunately, while Aisha did remember seeing Ara's face once, it was blurry by her mind at that point. Although this... vague trace of El around her... This lass couldn't be...

[personal profile] tsunlemental 2013-05-24 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Aisha's response was probably not what Ara had expected, because instead of clear answer, the elemental master seemed to raise her purple eyebrow in question.

"Yes?"

...Did she know her? Maybe she was, even though it was rather blurry in her mind. After all, the other female really reeked of El, in a good way.

Watching Ara's response to her inquisitive question was amusing on its own level, but her groggy expression didn't make things well for Aisha. Instead of expressing her curiosity, she needed to keep her priorities straight.

"Are you alright?"

Maybe this was not the best moment to question whether she did came from Elrios or not. The other female's condition was rather questionable even for her.

Rena was too distracted by the recent happenings at the tower- so much, in fact, that she didn't even notice Ara walking in at first. But when she did, she felt slightly uneasy. People who lived in Elrios had a distinct essence of El, and this girl definitely had traces of it, no matter how faint. Of course, she didn't recognize her, per se. Their different timelines didn't permit it.

As the elevator rumbled downwards, she gathered her wits and asked the pale girl-

'...Miss? Are you new here? You seem a bit... sickly.'

Yeah, that shift was as noticeable as a red light flashing in the night. With a huge red neon sign right above it saying 'NOTICE THIS'. The explosion of El Energy was off the charts.

"Am I? And on that note... are you from Elrios?"

Chung is on his way to the canteen when he bumps into Ara.

"Ah! I'm sorry! Are you alright?"

But the girl in front of him didn't look alright at all! Though somehow... something felt familiar about her...
raichung: (wait what?)

[personal profile] raichung 2013-05-24 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
... eh? EHHH? W-what just happened here? Why do you look so different now?? Could it be a demon??? Like when his father...! Yet, it doesn't quite seem so...? Just what is going on??

"I... I guess you're alright now... Uh, so... did you just arrive here?" Since you are still wearing that bodysuit the newbies wear.
raichung: (smile~)

The boy nodded and smiled. "Sure. Well, I guess we should go to the canteen first then. Everyone has to eat that porridge before anything else otherwise they'll throw up!"

He looked around as well. "... it's relatively peaceful for now actually."

Eve steps onto the lift from the dormitory level, paying little heed to any others accompanying her. At first, anyway. The girl is not someone she is overly familiar with, but unlike the others, Eve's memory is impeccable—one of the advantages to being a Nasod.

She spends a long minute staring at the distressed girl, analyzing, confirming identity in her internal records. Finally, she speaks, "You are Ara, correct?"

Eve's tone is, as always, flat and emotionless, but there's still a hint of surprise hidden in there. Another person from Elrios? Perhaps their numbers wouldn't stop at Aisha. It was a comforting thought.

She nodded, a small hint of a smile on her face. "Yes, I am Eve. We met outside the Halls of Water in Hamel." After Elsword gave them all a terrible first impression by assuming Uun was a demon, but details. They kinda worked everything out after, anyway.

"Did you arrive here recently? If you still have questions, Eve can try her best to answer them."

Coming right up from the first floor toward the elevator's inner sanctum was none other than Els, who was looking pretty satisfied with his portion of meal, as visible from the way he was clapping his stomach in satisfaction.

After what seemed to be ten seconds or so, though, Els' sense was tingling as his eyes fell upon the black haired lass. He blinked his eyes at her. Once. Twice. Before the realization came upon him. No, it was faint, but it was there. The feeling of El. Could this young girl be... Only one thing could find out.

So without even waiting for Ara's consent, the redhead's blazing eyes set its place on her slender figure as his steps surrounded the air. Els was approaching her in a quite the fast pace, although it was definitely harmless. When he was by her side, though, the Rune Slayer simply clapped both of his hands on both of her shoulders, his eyes not leaving her presence.

"You... are from Elrios, aren't you?"

He couldn't be mistaken. He couldn't be. He might easily forgot 99 things, but the traces of El wasn't one.
eldork: (smile)

[personal profile] eldork 2013-05-25 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Her short, clear answer was everything that he require to pull his arms back to his side. No sooner after that as well, the once serious facade on the redhead's face was slowly fading into nothingness, and swapped by the bright and confident grin of the Rune Slayer.

"That's what I thought! So do I!"

With that, he proudly pounced his own chest confidently.

"I am Elsword. You can call me Els," without showing any sign to give her any response to his action, the young male stretched his arm as if to offer her a handshake of greeting. "And you are?"

Maybe they had already met before, but since Elsword couldn't really remember... A reintroduction would be a safe bet.

"Nice to meet you too, Ara!"

Well, now... Where had he heard such name before? ...Nah, maybe just pure imagination.

Her smile, in return, only broadened the young man's. After a quick, polite handshaking was initiated, Elsword pulled his arm back before crossing them behind his fiery red mane.

"So, so~ d'you need me to show you the deal about this blasted tower, or you already knew?"
