Tear's Big Project, Day 1

Characters: Tear Grants and YOU
Setting: The meadow on Floor 25
Format: Starting action, reply as you wish.
Summary: This is the first of the two days for Tear's offer of training in magic. There will be closed parts for certain people and a few open sections.
Warnings:  Magic, fighting, Luke and Asch in the same area with pointy things, possible explosions?

[Tear made her way to the meadow thirty minutes early, a book in her hand as she made that way. She looked around at the empty space and grimaced. Why she'd thought this was a good idea, she'd never know, but she was determined to see if she could get the residents of this Tower of Horror to arm themselves in light of the recent problems with the administration.]

Closed for Luke fon Fabre (OU)
[If the redhead looked carefully enough, he'd see the brunette looking off into the distance at the flowers as she waited for the others to gather.]

Closed for Asch the Bloody, Sheba and Xion
[She'd decided to work on the redheads away from one another, but any friends they brought were fine. She'd expected to see the blond after their exchange on the network.

Closed for V/V, AU Link and Zelda
[She couldn't wait to introduce her two new friends to one another. Link had training with bows and swords. Between those, Tear was sure that V/V would find something she could use.]

Open Section for Magic Training
[This was perhaps the most anxious part of the entire ordeal—trying to figure out how the magics of so many worlds worked and to see if those interested could actually learn to use the Seventh Fonon, or if she was going to be spending her night telling them all how to do battle first aid.

Only time would tell, right?]

Open Section for Fighting Training
[As opposed to the magic training, this, this she had no issue with. She was a proficient with her staffs, maces and knives. Besides, she'd learned as a child that anything could be used as a weapon in times of need. And with the many sword wielders as she'd met since coming to the tower, she knew that this would be fine!]

Hopefully, I'm not intruding. I ended up not saying when I was going to stop by but uh, yeah.

...is there anyone else around?

[mysterical]

[Tear looked around at the full meadow, where groups were spread out doing different things.]

In the immediate vicinity, there's only you and I. In the meadow, it's quite full.

Good. This kind of thing can be a little unsettling to people nearby. Do you mind if I...?

[He reaches up to his bandages to finish his question.]

[mysterical]

[She eyes him carefully.] No, not at all. Please.

[As long as she doesn't mind. He loosens the bandages and they sort of just fall off his head and hang around his neck. Satsujinki would have normal blue eyes except they sorta shine. Not to mention that faint feeling of death that rolls off him as the bandages come off.]

There...it probably seems weird but yeah.

[mysterical]

[She hadn't been ready for the nearly radiant blue eyes as he took the bandages from around his head. They reminded her of a perfect blue sky in summer. Except, there was something wrong with him.]

Excuse me for asking, but what is your power?

[It was obvious that he had one, so she didn't bother to beat around the bush asking.]

I see death. Not in the way most people think. But as lines and points. And if I use a sharp object on those lines or points, well, you can guess the rest.

[A few years ago, he'd be hesitant to say but he had given up all hope of a normal life. So now, he was fairly open.]

If you want to know why I wear the bandages, it's because humans aren't supposed to see that kind of thing for too long so the brain reacts pretty poorly.

[mysterical]

[In a way, his explanation makes sense. To be able to see the death all around you would be...soul-crushing.]

I don't think that a power such as yours comes in handy very much. There is death everywhere, if what I've heard is true.

[A pained smile.]

You'd be surprised. In a way, it's useful when killing pesky things that are immortal.

[mysterical]

[Her lips twitch into a smile.]

Yes, that would be useful then. Perhaps it is good to know someone like you, then.

R-Right...

[He was pretty sure that was going to lead to trouble at some point.]

...what about what we were talking about earlier? Could we do that?

[mysterical]

[Tear was always thinking ahead in times of battle. It was how you stayed alive. Shiki's skill would be useful if they became allies that moved together in this tower. For now, she would file the information away for use at a later date.]

I'm still not sure how you wish for this to proceed. Why don't you explain to me the purpose and then I will cast spells on you.

You cast the spells and I kill them, essentially. I'm used to doing that with magic from my own world but not other kinds of magic.

[mysterical]

Okay...I can do that, I suppose.

[She had such a limited set of attack skills, but she decided that starting big would probably be the best way to work with this man. She gathered the Sixth fonon to her and opened her eyes before shouting.] Eclairs de Larmes! [Blades of pure light feel from the sky in the direction of the man and tear waited, a healing arte on her lips, ready to be cast just in case.]

[He was fairly relaxed. Mostly because being tense wouldn't let his own instincts take over.

It happened fast, his eyes turning up to look at where he felt the threat and his hand shot into his pocket to pull out his knife. He very well couldn't blink but he played it safe by barely side stepping a couple blades. His head burned at the sight of something unfamiliar as it sought to resolve the idea of its death.

His knife finally flashed up and cleaved a weakly formed line, causing a single blade to vanish. And again and again. Thankfully, he had skills outside of his own eyes.]

[mysterical]

[Tear watched as he destroyed one of her strongest spells with barely any effort. Part of her wanted to cry, but she took a deep breath as she turned to look at Shiki fully.]

That's beyond impressive. How do you do that exactly?

[concept_killer]

That...

[Well, he isn't entirely sure how it works EXACTLY.]

...other than what I explained, I'm not completely sure of the science behind it. But it does help that I've got a few skills that I don't really advertise along with that.

[mysterical]

[She nodded, understanding the concept of holding back until the best moment.]

Is that all or would you like to try again?

[concept_killer]

I think it's enough.

[He works to tighten up his bandages.]

But don't think I had you do that for free though. So if you ever need anything, let me know and I'll do it if I'm capable of it. Consider it me returning the favor.

[mysterical]

[She relaxes a fraction. She can't completely ever drop her guard around someone who can literally kill her artes before they touch him. However, having him as an ally isn't a bad thing either.]

I will keep that in mind. Although, right now, I'm not sure there's anything you can do for me. I will let you know if that changes.

[concept_killer]

[He knows the feeling of being around people who can't quite trust him. Especially a certain half-vampire who went by the name Enhance.]

The name on my mailbox is Satsujinki so you could just drop something off there. If it's a written note, I'll have someone who I trust read it to me.

I'll keep that in mind then. Thank you for being willing to do a practical demonstration for me.

[She shook her head, even though she knew he wouldn't see it.]

Thanks aren't necessary. How else are we to ready ourselves to fight when it's needed if we don't help each other?
