Tear's Big Project, Day 1

Characters: Tear Grants and YOU
Setting: The meadow on Floor 25
Format: Starting action, reply as you wish.
Summary: This is the first of the two days for Tear's offer of training in magic. There will be closed parts for certain people and a few open sections.
Warnings:  Magic, fighting, Luke and Asch in the same area with pointy things, possible explosions?

[Tear made her way to the meadow thirty minutes early, a book in her hand as she made that way. She looked around at the empty space and grimaced. Why she'd thought this was a good idea, she'd never know, but she was determined to see if she could get the residents of this Tower of Horror to arm themselves in light of the recent problems with the administration.]

Closed for Luke fon Fabre (OU)
[If the redhead looked carefully enough, he'd see the brunette looking off into the distance at the flowers as she waited for the others to gather.]

Closed for Asch the Bloody, Sheba and Xion
[She'd decided to work on the redheads away from one another, but any friends they brought were fine. She'd expected to see the blond after their exchange on the network.

Closed for V/V, AU Link and Zelda
[She couldn't wait to introduce her two new friends to one another. Link had training with bows and swords. Between those, Tear was sure that V/V would find something she could use.]

Open Section for Magic Training
[This was perhaps the most anxious part of the entire ordeal—trying to figure out how the magics of so many worlds worked and to see if those interested could actually learn to use the Seventh Fonon, or if she was going to be spending her night telling them all how to do battle first aid.

Only time would tell, right?]

Open Section for Fighting Training
[As opposed to the magic training, this, this she had no issue with. She was a proficient with her staffs, maces and knives. Besides, she'd learned as a child that anything could be used as a weapon in times of need. And with the many sword wielders as she'd met since coming to the tower, she knew that this would be fine!]

Depends on where you go, where I'm from. [As in it depends on which planet.... He eyes Luke's stance for a few moments before settling into his own.]

Luke huh? My name's Fayt.

[And, figuring Luke's ready by his stance, he moves in with a simple blow to start with.]

[He's okay with nice and easy first! Besides, it's always a good idea to go in slow, get a judge of what your opponent was going to do. They may have worn their sheathes the same way, but he could already tell Fayt fought in a different style, different from himself, Guy, or Yu. Different worlds really were amazing.]

[He met his blow, returning with his own, keeping things light and easy for now. They could pick it up once they had a better feel for each other.]

[Nice and easy was kind of the point of the first few blows here. Fayt's style was different... he used the longsword in his hands with skill and effectiveness, alternating between one or both hands for blows, but there was an unorthodox sort of feel to the movements.

He's slowly getting more serious as he watches Luke move, taking his time but clearly watching him.]

[Yeah, he noticed; this kid was mostly self taught. Master Van told him once that one day he would be able to tell the difference between someone that was trained by instruction and trained by experience. He hadn't understood at the time, but after fighting with Yu-sensei for so long and now this person, he got the picture.]

[He also got that he was getting serious.]

[Luke picked up the pace himself, pushing harder, easing in the strength he had been holding back -- they may have been covered at the moment, but those abs weren't for show!]

[Fayt follows his lead, adding more strength to his blows as they go. He'd never had much in he way of actually sparring before, but he enjoyed combat and there was a slowly growing enthusiasm along with the more serious pacing.

This guy was pretty good, too. His movements weren't anything like Albel's, but Fayt didn't expect them to be, what with different worlds and all. He keeps his eyes peeled for any openings Luke might provide, putting on a little more pressure with his blows.]

[Man, he was pretty damn good. He needed to turn up the heat a bit, and he threw in a Fang Blade for good measure, slashing down hard before jumping up and back, bringing himself out of immediate attack range as he recovered.]
