these truths are not gated
Characters: [OU] Alphonse Elric and YOU?
Setting: Room 1-08, and then exploring the tower. Just mention where you are in your subject or tag!
Format: I'll mimic you.
Summary: Al wakes up in the Tower, and wonders what the fudgsicle is going on.
Warnings: Copious amounts of puppy dog faces? welkrj idk, none on Al's end! Will edit if anything happens.
As soon as the sleep paralysis had worn off, Alphonse was sitting bolt upright in his bed with a start, breathing hard and fast--
...
Where...?
Disoriented, his eyes quickly seek out his surroundings, but... he doesn't recognize anything. Not a single thing, and when he turns his head, he finds something odd and vaguely tight around his neck. Fingers lift to investigate, and...
A choker? Some kind of collar or tubing? He's even more perplexed and bewildered, simply confused and at odds as he almost numbly finds his feet with caution. Had someone kidnapped him...? But he doesn't remember anything unusual before he had fallen asleep, and... aside from the addition to his anatomy, he doesn't appear to be injured.
When he tests it, he finds the door isn't locked, either. (He's completely missed that handy little note, hasn't he?)
Al is wary and on his guard, uneasy -- concerned as he carefully pokes his head out of the door and into the corridor. This is all so strange... what exactly is going on here? It looks like it might take a little exploration before he can find out...

"I guess they are more angry and scared than I thought!" He told the man with a slightly scared smile.
no subject
"Are you okay? They didn't hurt you, did they?" It'd rather hard to tell with the child as he is...
no subject
He gave a small shrug, he didn't know why it hadn't worked but maybe they just didn't speak Italian. "I'm Romeo by the way!"
no subject
He feels horrible for him, apology in his eyes as his expression softens once he's sure the boy's as alright as he can be, crouching down to his eye level.
"It's nice to meet you, Romeo. I'm Alphonse, but you can call me Al, okay?"
no subject
"I haven't seen you before mister Al, did you just wake up?"
no subject
"Mm, I did. I'm not really sure where I am, to be honest..."
Recalling Romeo had mentioned being trapped -- and that he was collared as well, he glances in the direction they had come. This place made absolutely no sense. What was this, some sort of experimental facility?
"Did you just wake up here too?
no subject
"We're in a tower sir, you should have a note saying that the world ended and they saved us but it is a lie," his voice gets angrier here, "They are bad people and are keeping us all prisoner and keep hurting people!"
no subject
"I don't understand," he says apologetically. "Why are they keeping us?"
no subject
no subject
"Bad guys always get brought to justice for their crimes, right? It's only a matter of time before whoever did this will get punished, too."
no subject
"We all have to keep our spirits up mister Al, if we do that then they can't win!"
no subject
"Right! Keep your chin up, and we'll get home safe and sound before you know it!"
no subject
"Where do you come from mister Al?"
no subject
Mister Al sounded just a little too formal for his tastes, and he wanted to put the boy at ease, looking around a bit more to ensure their surroundings were safe before resuming their conversation.
"A village named Resembool. What about you, Romeo?"

A country on Earth? It certainly wasn't one he had heard of before, and the perplexity is pretty easy to read on his face. Alphonse is relatively well-versed on the geography of 'his' Earth, and that doesn't quite fit the bill as part of it.
no subject
"I'm probably from a different earth from you. What country do you come from?"
