...and I know you hear their voices
Characters: Castiel and all of you.
Setting: Either of the two libraries: take your pick.
Format: Prose or brackactions, I'm okay with anything!~
Summary: The angel is hearing voices. Good thing or bad thing?
Warnings: TBA.
Castiel had been hearing voices since the return of the experimented tower occupants, but he ignored them, if only to feel part of a whole again.
However, the nondescript murmurs were louder now, and only just discernible. The angel frowned and closed his eyes; it wasn't the Host, because their presence would extend to more than just voices. No, these voices seemed to be coming from the tower itself, like in the cathedral.
"Strange."

Of course, it was a little difficult to follow what was on the screen when his vision twofold would abruptly switch to show him the screen as it would be several hours in the future, but he just waited patiently until he switched back to present vision.
The sound of someone speaking nearby drew his attention, however, and he turned to scan the room with white-coated eyes. "Hello? Who'th there?"
Have a paranoid Kirin ;;
Who knew. Taiki watched cautiously.

Honestly, Sam had entered the library to look again for any information he might have missed. The need to get out of the tower was becoming increasingly desperate, and there just had to be some kind of clue that he may have overlooked.
He certainly didn't expect to find Castiel.
Initial surprise was overcome by suspicion. Um, if he was here then why hadn't he approached Sam? Surely the angel would still know if he was here regardless if he had been cut off from the mojo or not. Unless this wasn't Cas, or at least the Cas he knew. Maybe he was the one who had been watching him all this time... reporting to the enemy and keeping Sam from figuring out what was going on. Except... if Sam couldn't even trust Castiel then what about the rest of the people here? What about his own brother?
That did it. Thinking of his brother had Sam hearing Dean's disapproval in his head for doubting Cas, and ultimately it brought him to a final decision.
"Cas."

"Hello, troll. I am Castiel."
;n; /huggles
"Hello, Taiki."

Nevertheless, the younger Winchester was here, with the older, and Castiel managed to look relieved even with his poker face on.
"Hello Sam."

"Hello, Castiel, I'm The Ψiioniic," he answered just as politely. "What'th strange?"
no subject
"What are you doing?"

While he knew that trolls are biologically different from humans, Ψiioniic seemed a lot more different that other trolls he encounted before.

Something he actually would have asked Cas about in normal circumstances, but considering the whole rebelling against heaven thing...
"How long have you been awake?"

At the mention of 'human', the angel shook his head. "I am not a human. I am an angel of the Lord."

Castiel hid the surprised tone in his voice well. Then again, kirins are a different breed from angels altogether, so that might be the reason.
"They talk to me."
no subject
"I have been awake for many months now, Sam," he replied, blue eyes slightly unfocused as the voices started to mutter and whisper again. "I have been awake since the first day."

Sam's eyebrows furrowed in a thoughtful expression. Here he was thinking Castiel had probably just gotten here with Dean and himself not too long ago, or shortly after/before. Nope. There goes the buzzer telling him he got the answer wrong. But, if Cas had been here for months then...
He was about to ask the other what was the last thing he remembered, his mind already buzzing, except Cas suddenly seemed to waiver right in front of him.
"Hey." It was said not harsh and authoritative, because Sam wasn't trying to use it like someone would snap their fingers in front of someone's nose to bring them back to focus. It was softer, more like a question of are you alright? in disguise.

"What do they tell you to do?"
no subject
"I serve God. He is my Father and my Creator, and this vessel I occupy is human," he explained, ignoring the voices for now. "As far as I understand, your culture and beliefs are different compared to the humans."

[She was returning a book to its proper place and searching for another when she heard Castiel] What is so strange? [The phantom in her immediately reacts, she had secluded herself so much that the only energy it could sap was her own and it was eager for a new source, flailing inside of her trying to get closer to him]

Either Cas had developed Alzheimer's in the months that he was here, or something was going on with him. Which, due to the nature of this tower, Sam was willing to bet years of his life that it was the latter.
Confusion transformed Sam's expression, and he took a few steps towards the angel. "What was that?"
no subject
"Are you frightened of me?"
no subject
For some reason, the Winchester seemed so much taller when he stepped closer. Taller than what Castiel could remember. And was that a shadow hiding behind him?

Hello Kanaya. You have something inside you.

Yes, I do. Do you recall the blackout and the phantoms that roamed the halls during that time? One of those was forcefully placed inside of me.

He could feel them watching him again. They were always watching...
Sam faltered for a brief moment, loosing his train of thought, but stubbornly he forced himself back on again. His curiosity become littered with concern now too. "You... restarted or something."

"What do you mean, Sam?"

How?

Sanshi nodded and wrapped Taiki in her arms, "He will come to no harm."

Finally, he settled on, "you said hello to me twice." Which, probably wasn't a good way of explaining it. Castiel might get it though, or at least be as confused as he was.

The voices overwhelmed him again, and Castiel stood still, blue eyes unfocused as he tried to concentrate, to focus on at least one of the voices. Unlike angel radio, he cannot tell which voice was which, making it all the more difficult for him.

"This is strange indeed."
no subject
"What's strange Cas?" Or better yet. "What's going on?"
