Characters: Asahi Yuki and Giorno Giovanna
Setting: Dormitories, Asahi's room
Format: Action
Summary: Asahi's a big scaredy cat when it comes to ghosts and the like so she drags in a random person to help her out.
Warnings: Maybe Boogeyman stuff, will update if it gets bad.

[ Even though Asahi isn't made to believe anything on the wall like some other residents of the tower, that doesn't mean she doesn't see it all the same. And although she can ignore most of it, the one about the Boogeyman makes her really nervous. She hates ghosts, after all, and that's close enough.. b-but there's no way it can be real, right? No way!

.. But even so, she can't help but feel bad whenever she tries to enter her room, as if he might just be right there when she does so. But then she realises that there's an easy solution to all of this - she can just make someone else check it for her, right?

That's why Giorno would find himself being dragged down the dormitory hallways right now by the arm by a certain redhead who's looking half-determined, half-nervous as she keeps dragging him like that until they reach the door to her room. ]

C.. come on, you need to look in my room for me, okay? You're the only one I can trust about this, so don't get the wrong idea..! [ At least explain yourself properly, Asahi.. but she's just too freaked out to do that, apparently. ] I can't just send anyone else to deal with that-- that thing if it's there, and you have those powers and all!

[ It's probably not even there, but Asahi is paranoid, okay. ]

If home is still there.

[ After all, they did get those letters, and while she heard from some people that there was the chance their worlds were still there, others said they were definitely destroyed.. she doesn't know what to believe anymore in the middle of all of it, really. ]

.. And.. even so, we have to survive until then, right? It doesn't seem like it'll be easy in a place like this.

...I highly doubt our homes were destroyed in the first place. There has to be some underlying message as to why we're here in the first place. Have you ever thought of why it just chose us instead of someone else?

[He's actually been thinking about that ever since he got here. He's one to doubt things that were far from the truth, especially in a place that's as shady as this.]

...but yes, I'll make sure that we survive until this ordeal is over, and we can return home.

[ She's about to reply to the point he makes, but.. then she stops when she hears what he else has to say. Sorry, she's so distracted by that that she doesn't even talk about whether their worlds are there or not, she's just completely struck by the fact that he's actually saying "we", like he's seriously wanting to protect her that much--

It makes her jaw drop open for a moment before she realises it and quickly closes it. ]

W-.. "we"?! You're sure?! [ She did ask him to take responsibility, but it's not like she really expected him to..! ]

[...what an odd thing to ask. Of course he's sure of it, she seemed as though she needed someone to protect her from things, and he's already someone who couldn't even stand the fact that an innocent person would go around in a place like this without any guard to her...which is why he's nodding slowly, placing a hand on his hip with a smirk on his face.]

Of course, we both need to go home to do our things, don't we? Which is why me and you shall come out of this place with high hopes.

I know, but.. [ .. How does she even say what she feels about that?! Heck, she's not even sure what she's feeling other than surprise. Sure, she recognizes the surprise at him really wanting to protect her, but there's something else too, something that makes her happy and is maybe a little warm.. but she really doesn't know what it is other than that it makes her really embarassed. ]

W-well, it's not like I can stop you if you insist! I mean, I guess I'm a little glad you'd want to help me out of all people, but that's it..!

[ Her face is.. bright red, basically. ]

[...why she is being a little embarrassed about it, he'll probably never find out. But for now, he can actually settle for what she's saying. Yes, he'll be glad to actually protect someone, because that's what he strives for. If anything, he'd like to help out other people in his stay here, no matter how much they might now need it. But...for now, he's just looking down at Asahi, his head tilted with his arms crossed.]

...well, then you can rest easily tonight, I hope, knowing that that thing won't be coming after you no longer, as well as take solace in the fact that you've got an unofficial bodyguard.

.. Ah.. y-yeah.

[ She knows she just needs to calm down for now, but it's so difficult when she's already freaking out to begin with. It's difficult for her to stop once she starts, but she's trying to take deep breaths here, even at the words "unofficial bodyguard", what's up with that, that makesi t sound like they're especially close or whatever!

But.. huff.. ]

I'll go sleep for now then. It should be safe now that thing is gone, so.. uh.. [ She looks away from him, even though she's still blushing. ] .. thanks.

[There has to be something about womenly behavior that he missed somewhere along the way in school. No way did the girls that followed him around act like this, nor did Trish ever speak to him in such a way. It's all a mind trip, really...but it's actually getting him more and more interested in the girl that's standing before him.

...but he's putting aside those thoughts for now, instead offering her his hand.]

...hopefully, that thing doesn't come back and scare you. It would be a shame if something happened to you so early on.

If I'm in danger, then you'll help me, right? You promised now, so you can't go back on those words. That'd be the same as lying.

[ Not that she wants to put pressure on him, but this is the best she can say it without getting totally embarassing. "I'm relying on you", that's basically what it means. She can fight for herself if she has to, but it's nothing compared to Giorno's powers and she knows it.

It's why she slowly steps back now until she's sitting on her bed at least. ]

Why would I have any reason to lie to you about those words? I've already made the commitment. So, if you have anything you need help with...

[He let out a tiny smile, actually walking up to her bed and sitting right beside her, letting out a tiny puff of air from his mouth as he looks up at the ceiling.]

...after all...this should take us one step further to being friends, right?

[ .. It's almost weird, sitting here next to each other. She isn't sure why, but the feeling's a little weird.. why, is it because she never interacted this way with the guys back home? With Toru and Hijiri she mostly yelled, but it's not like they ever talked about this stuff, she always just.. took care of herself.

And now she's putting it in someone else's hands. Just that thought is a little scary for someone with major trust issues. But she looks to the side, away from him. ]

I.. [ She starts, but then hesitates again, almost seeming a little pouty. ] I thought something like this would.. um.. maybe make us friends already.

[Giorno's still off thinking in his own little space. Sure, this definitely wasn't anything new to him- the protecting of others, that is. After all, it's his life goal, and he wanted to accomplish it more than anything else. Even here, he'd probably make it a goal, but...

Well, right now, he has one person to worry about, since he's already made a promise to actually guard her from everything that's going on in this place. But it shouldn't be too daunting of a challenge.

Although her words managed to snap him out of his daze.] ...hm~. So, it seems you've finally come to accept that we're friends now, then? I'm glad, Asahi.

D-don't misunderstand! It's just that I trust you a little more after all this.

[ It's scary, trusting people in this new place where she doesn't know anyone. It's not like home at all. But Giorno protected her, he helped her.. then she'd be an ass if she didn't at least trust him in return, huh..? ]

.. I mean, I guess I'm glad you're glad, even if I don't see why it'd be such an amazing thing.. [ Yeah, she's totally tsunning. She's even blushing a little. ]

[C'mon, Asahi, you're only serving to make his little smile grow even wider. He's not sure if he's exactly seen this side to Asahi yet, but Giorno can already tell that, well...he'll be able to place all of his trust in her.]

...I won't misunderstand your words, Asahi Yuki. After all, if we're to be friends, we'd have to understand one another, right? I'll make it a promise to tell you the truth from now on, as well.

[And the smile coming from him was genuine as he says those words.] ...after all, mutual understanding is what it takes to make a friendship work, isn't it?

.. Of course you'd promise that. [ She's pouting a little as she says it, almost as if she's disappointed - but it's more just that she doesn't want to entirely believe he'd doing it for her sake since she doesn't want to get hurt.. ] I mean, you know I can see it when you lie. So then you'd avoid lying in front of me either way.

[ But at the same time.. while she doesn't want to believe in it, she does want to believe in it too, to be able to finally feel like.. like she's not alone.. ]

I.. I'm glad too.. though.. I guess. Since maybe I.. [ She's pausing so much since this is so difficult to say for her. ] .. I sort of wanted someone to rely on.. maybe.

[There's something in those words of hers that catches his attention. His head perks up a bit, a bit of a raised brow coming up. He's heard that she had a thing called an "Iris" before, yeah, but she never did explain it to him what it could do in the first place. But now, since she's every so had the fine chance of actually spilling the beans....]

...You can see lies? [He looks a bit puzzled by that, as if it were something new to him, which it was. He definitely didn't expect to meet a person who can see through lies before...hm. Was it sort of similar to a Stand, then?

Either way, he's shaking his head.] ...I'm sorry, that must have been the first time I've heard of such a thing come from you.

[ .. Ah?!

She pauses completely at his reaction to it. She was so sure she told him that one time he was talking about Stands and she mentioned the power of an Iris.. she was sure she told him her power too back then, but in the end she didn't?! And then she let it slip to him just now? Shit, it makes her face color when she realises her own dumb mistake.

The fact that he didn't know and therefore just genuinely wanted to be close to her doesn't even cross her mind yet while she's caught up in the surprise. ]

Y-you didn't know?!

No, this is the first time I've heard of it. You told me you had an Iris, but never really explained much more into detail beyond that.

[He seems a little more confused now by her expression, which causes him to lean in a bit as he inspects her face closely. Of course, this is Giorno, so he doesn't really care if this girl gets flustered in the first place...he's more or less doing this because he feels as though something has caught her off guard and wants to see what exactly is making her like this in the first place.]

...are you alright, Asahi? You don't seem to be looking well...

[And he's moving in closer...]

[ Oh god, Giorno, you aren't making this any easier, just worse! Okay, Asahi, just.. keep breathing, try to not mind him too much, he's just leaning closer since he doesn't get it...

She tries to keep sitting there, she really does, but in the end she quickly scoots a little away from him, her face red. This guy, seriously, this guy..?! He promised to not lie to her even though he didn't know about her ability, he's genuine trying to become her friend-- what's she supposed to be say to that when it's a guy?! A girl would be one thing, but.. ]

I.. I'm-- [ .. she can't say she's fine, that'd be an obvious lie with her red face.. ]

You're a way weird guy, Giorno!!

[He doesn't actually seem to take that comment all too personally, but he does seem to be even more curious as her face seemingly becomes more read. Enough so that he's scooting closer to her as she tries to move away from him. Like she could really get away from someone who's as curious as he is at the moment.

But now he's definitely in her face, his nose almost about to touch hers. And he seems to be placing a hand on her forehead to check to see if she's hot. Well...she's definitely heating up, from what he can tell.]

I don't think being weird is wrong in the first place if I'm curious as to your well being.

Now...are you truly sick, or is it something else?

[ Giorno, how is she ever going to handle you?! No, seriously, her face grows hotter and more and more red the closer he gets now. She was already embarassed to begin with, but with him this close.. nnghh, that's just unbearable, she feels like she's going to explode any moment now.. ]

I'M F-F-F-F-F-F..FFFFF.... [ Even while yelling she can't finish her sentence, she's blushing too much. Asahi is completely frozen on the spot, even, she can't even bring herself to shove him away or get his hand off her forehead, she just stares into his eyes. ]

[THIS DOESN'T LOOK FINE AT ALL, but how in the world was he supposed to know that she was doing this out of embarrassment and not because she was sick? because what was social skills to this man, and what exactly is realizing a girl's true feelings?]

...hm. [He backs off now, taking his hand off of her forehead and still staring directly at her.] ...how are you feeling right now, is your body hot and tense? You may be sick and we need to get you some medicine.

[ GO FORTH AND GET SOME GIRLS 101 CLASSES FROM MISTA.. ]

I'm not sick at all, moron! Do you really not get it?! [ She doesn't want to have to spell it out since it's just really embarassing, but it looks like she has no other choice here, huh.. and the fact that her face still feels like it's on fire doesn't help a single bit with any of it. ] I'm just.. e.. embarassed, that's all..! Not sick!

[HE WILL NEVER GET GIRL 101 LESSONS FROM MISTA THAT'S THE MOST HORRIBLE PERSON TO GET LESSONS FROM-

But oh if she's only embarrassed, then Giorno's pretty much backing off at this point.] If you were embarrassed, you could have just said so from the beginning. It's not like we're not at liberty to actually not tell each other things.

[Giorno doesn't even girls.]

[ You're never going to get the girl at this rate, Giorno, seriously.

At least she can breathe again since he's gone a little now, but she's still worked up.. does he really not get it? Did he never spend time around people back home or what?! ]

Like anyone just says it when they're embarassed, saying you're embarassed is only more embarassing! [ HUFF. ] Or are you saying you just tell anyone at all when you are, huh?
