Leave your reasoning behind [open]

Characters: Romeo and you!
Setting: Dorm halls, bathrooms and rooms
Format: Either
Summary: People with orange collars may go berserk at any moment Diarmuid and Hei are going to be the ones to stop him, but anyone else is very welcome to hurt him/be hurt by him/run away from him before that.
Warnings: Berserk twelve year old with a knife

Romeo came out of one of the bathrooms carrying the bucket of cleaning supplies. He had almost finished his job for the day and he was glad because then he could go and check that his friends were okay! Bad things were happening again, and people were acting strange and writing on the walls. Romeo had thought about writing something nice, but he knew that sometimes the tower made nice things bad.

And he didn't want to risk it. So he had concentrated on making sure his friends had enough food since the food in the cafeteria was bad again and checking that no one was hurt too much. He hummed as he skipped down the corridor, just one bathroom to go!

A moment later he let out a scream of rage and dropped the bucket, chemicals and water spilled everywhere, pooling round his bare feet but he didn't seem to care as he pulled his makeshift knife from his pocket and ran down the corridor towards the nearest room, towards people.

There was a point past which when anything bites into you, you notice it more urgently. Like when teeth passed leather and into skin, and then even deeper.

Sephiroth had to let go, but doing so would loosen his hold on the child. The alternative was that the berserking kid might well take a chuck of flesh and leather off of his arm. It'd heal for sure but it'd have to be tended to quickly and in the middle of a fight isn't ideal.

The arm pinning Romeo's up and behind him lets go and Sephiroth slams that elbow hard behind Romeo's head. Hopefully it might stun him enough for the older man to get his other arm free, in best care scenario it might knock the kid out in one go.

At least he was easier to dodge around now, though no less angry. If he wanted to, Sephiroth could probably get away from the kid now but - he'd bit him! Kid or not, berserk because of a writing on a wall or not, he'd gone too far now.

Sephiroth dodged to the side and attempts a long low sweeping kick, hoping to take Romeo's legs out from underneath him.

Romeo's flailing hand managed to grab around an ankle and it jolts his balance drastically for a moment. Though with a sharp jerk Sephiroth pulls his foot free and aimed a follow-up kick to Romeo's head.

Similar to the way a bully in a playground might when they were on top.

The kicks kept coming, to keep him on the ground. To Romeo's chest mostly, because knocking the breath out had to stop him. It was clear that this berserk fit wasn't going to pass on it's own.

He could just summon Masamune and get it over with, but then the orange-collared kid would just come back good-as-new and just as prone to berserking.

Sephiroth knew that the next kick could well cave in Romeo's chest and while satisfying it wouldn't do any good.

So instead he chanced to reach down, grab a handful of the boys hair and smack his head back hard against the floor. Hopefully knocking whatever consciousness was left out of the kid.

"Hmph."

Afterward, Sephiroth let Romeo's head go like it was nothing but another inconvenience. He stepped back as if to admire his handiwork though really was making sure that he wasn't actually dead. After what seemed an age he was satisfied enough; the boy was still breathing.

Whatever happened between now and when he came to, though, wasn't Sephiroth's concern. He rubbed at the bitten area on his arm; though where the skin had been broken had already closed. It'd be a minor ache for a day maybe.

Then continued on his patrol.
