Paranoid Kirin [open]

Summary: An already paranoid Kirin realises that he cannot turn into kirin form while washing windows, he proceeds to panic
Warnings: Paranoia

All in all Taiki didn't usually mind washing the windows, being attached to a rope was no scarier than flying and as long as he was careful everything worked out alright.

But today when he had started to go out he had worried, he was already convinced the food was poisoned. After all it would not take much to poison a kirin, all they would have to do is sneak meat into the food and they would slowly poison him. How did he know they wouldn't cut the ropes, how did he know the others doing this job wern't working for the tower, and wouldn't use this opportunity to harm him. He was tired as well, he had stopped sleeping. After all even if he was in a room of his own it wasn't lockable, anyone could get in. They had taken those people to be experimented on at night. People just disapeared all the time.

About half way through the job Taiki, sure that the rope was going to be cut decided it would be better if he changed to kirin form, at least that way he could fly. However he couldn't... it wasn't like before, he knew how to now and it was easier than breathing, but something was stopping him. He finished the job as quickly as he could and the moment he was back in the tower he tried again. This time he changed easily, summoning Sanshi at the same time. He stood in the middle of the room looking around him.

"How can I be sure you're not lying?" she whispered, steeling her voice even though she's scared stiff. She had to be strong...

"How do I know you aren't trying to make me feel sad for you so that you can hurt me." The paranoia was back and he shrank into himself even more, tears coming harder. It was so hard here, he didn't understand anything, he didn't know what was expected. He ended up upsetting people or making them hurt him.

"I want to go home," he whispered.

"I am not making you feel sad. I just want to know the truth."

His tears made her motherly instincts rear up, but she pushed them aside. Even though his human form's a young boy, he's still a creature, and she didn't know if he would hurt her or if he's telling the truth.

More tears came and Taiki was curled up in almost a full ball. "I'm a Kirin," he repeated, "From the Twelve Kingdoms... I can turn into my beast form, or be like this... I wont hurt you I promise. Kirin can't fight or be violent even to defend themselves unless there king doesn't command it..."

More tears came because Gyousou not being here made him feel really sad, more sad then everything else. "I wont hurt you!"

"You are speaking nonsense to me, little one..." she whispered, still pressed up against the wall. "I do not understand, but... I am still not certain that you won't harm me."

"I'm sorry!" More tears came, he didn't know how to explain it to her better, "I... I wont harm you, even if I wanted to or tried I cannot, my king is not here... but I don't want to either... I'm sorry..."

He pressed his face into his knees and scrunched his eyes shut, he didn't want to be here any more.

Spain bit her lip, closing her eyes. "Please... go away..."

"I'm sorry," Taiki lept to his feet and grabbed the remainder of his clothes and his shoes, not bothering to put them on but fleeing the room in tears. Once again he had managed to make someone scared and upset. He was a failure as a person, a failure as a kirin.

No wonder everyone hated him and wanted to hurt him.
