Summary: Sometimes when monsters happen, people band together.

Dorm 04-03
[Rather than running around blindly at night, it was far more sensible to team up with a few reliable people. Homura or Mami would have been ideal, but even Naoto or Enoch could have worked in a pinch.

So how is it that she wound up with these three?

Yosuke isn't so bad. As loath as she is to admit to it, she knows from his memories that he's reliable enough in a fight, but even then, he's only hanging around because his girlfriend's here. V/V and Czes aren't fighters. She has no reason to be protecting them, but the thought of the someone as innocent as getting hurt again makes her sick to her stomach. As for Czes...somehow, she just can't bring herself to leave this kid alone.

So, the empty dorm room's door has been barricaded using the bed frame and various pieces of furniture that Kyoko dragged up throughout the day (they only really need three, after all,) and with that, the threat of monsters is cut in half.

As for the rest--well, now it's just waiting. If one breaks in, she can handle it; if that fails, Yosuke can make himself useful, but for the moment she's just sitting on the bed. Czes's head rests on her lap as she strokes his hair back, waiting for him to fall asleep (although she expects that he'll be trying to stay awake as long as he can, now.) Really, she's far more affectionate with him than one might expect--almost like a big sister, really.]

...Tch. Are we seriously gonna have to deal with this all month? I'm already sick of having to hide out like this, y'know.

Floor Eighty-One
[Staying up every night to keep it's watch is starting to take it's toll on Kyoko, who has been starting to fall asleep in random places on a regular basis. Right now that place just happens to be in floor eighty-one's lounge. Perhaps it's because he's taken pity on her, having had been staying up to watch over him every night or maybe he's just given up on getting her to move--whatever the case, Kyoko is sprawled out on the couch, her head laying on Czes's lap.

She's been dozing like this for some time. At one point she had managed to completely fall sleep like this, but most times she'll begin to doze off before jerking awake and mumbling tiredly before laying her head back down. Right now she seems to be in the process of dozing again.]

[She just laughs more. These two are so easy to tease.]

Don't let the tough guy act fool you, he gets all teary-eyed the second somebody raises their voice.

[Kyoko ruffles his hair. She's just doing her part in making sure that no one realizes that he's actually immortal, really. She smiles a little more at V/V's words.]

I guess having him around isn't so bad. V/V's right about one thing, he at least makes better company than the monsters out there.

[V/V thinks about Yosuke's question.]

Hm... I know I've met Narukami and Yukiko, I don't know about any other friends of Yosuke's.

[Sorry kiddo, you've become the target and that works for him. Still, there's a few he needs to point out to V/V]

If you see a big scary looking guy who knits and a pint size detective in a snazzy hat, they're good friends of mine too. Just a heads up.

[He tries to duck out from under Kyoko's hand]

Will you stop that already, jeeze!

[Duck all you want, Czes, you're not going to escape Kyoko's hand. She rests it on his head and for a second it seems like she's really considering whether or not she's garnered enough amusement from his flustering, but it's not long before she's pressing her hand down, mussing his hair more and generally just trying to mess it up as much as possible.

So to answer his question, no, she will not stop doing it.]

Ah, you mean Naoto?

I'll look out for both of them.

[Even if she's not sure what a scary guy who knits would actually look like.]

[He grins at Kyoko with a nod]

Yeah, unless there's other pint sized detectives with cool hats running around. Anyway V/V, if anything were to happen to me, I'm sure they'd help you out until I got back. So don't be afraid to look them up, alright? They're both really good people. Same goes for you Czes, alright?

Not that Kyoko and I are going anywhere. We're too awesome for that.

Mm, I will. Thank you.

[She pokes Czes's cheek.]

So like, don't get your hopes up about me getting the boot anytime soon.

Nobody's going to get the boot.

[Serious face is serious.]

[And joking face is joking! He knows it's a serious subject, but he has to try and keep spirits up and the mood light]

Well that's not fair, what if I like boots?

... I don't think that's the kind of boot she was talking about.

[prayed]

[It wasn't, but she's slipping one of her boots off now--]

Then I'll just have to give you one.

[--and chucking it at Yosuke's head.]

[V/V winces and picks up the fallen boot.]

This wouldn't really look good on you, Yosuke.

[Why thank you, Kyoko! Yosuke really wanted a tall, refreshing glass of boot to the head]

[And as much as he wants to be angry, he just laughs]

I guess not, but I could use some new clothes. After over a year, these are getting pretty threadbare.

You've been here that long?

[prayed]

So get some. There's gotta be a tailor around here somewhere.

I don't know how to sew, I'm sorry.

[princeofjunes]

[He nods at Czes]

A few more months and it'll be close to two years, actually. And now that you mention it, I know a tailor. Guess I'll have to hit him up when the craziness dies down.

Have you been here that long too, V/V?

[prayed]

[Czes, your nosiness has just earned you a headlock, followed by a noogie.]

Oi! Don't you think you're just gonna make them feel awkward asking weird questions like that!?

Oh, don't worry about it. I haven't been here as long as Yosuke has.

[princeofjunes]

Yeah, though there are some people who've been here even longer than me. Naoto's one of them at least - she got here a few months before I did.

[bytheirhand]

[Sorry, Yosuke, but it's hard to listen when you're being headlocked and noogied.

He tries to pull away, squirming and whining at her.]

Stop it Kyoko! Let me go! I'm not trying to make them feel weird!!

Haah? What's that? Do it more?

[She holds him in place for a moment longer before finally letting him go, snickering when she sees what a mess she's managed to make of his hair.]

You need to brush your hair, y'know.
