Setting: Unpowered forest (32), backdated to the 10th (so the day after his network post)

Summary: Suzaku offered to teach anyone who needed it, especially those with powers who wished to learn to fight without.
Warnings:

Suzaku wasn't sure if anyone was going to turn up. The night had been long and hard, patrolling and checking on those he felt responsible for. With everyone forced out of their rooms he doubted anyone had gotten rest but he waited in the forest anyways just in case.

After all with this new threat of Ruana's it was more important than ever for people to know how to fight, and he was determined to help them. He had made a post on the network, and sent messages to a few of those he had spoken to about training in the past, so now he just waited, going through sword forms as he did so.

Ryoji is still unsure, as he doesn't know Suzaku too well, but the older boy seems trustworthy at least.

"I'm good. Thanks for telling me about this."

Any opportunity to become stronger and protect others is one Ryoji will take.

"You're welcome. I was glad to hear that Diarmuid was teaching you. You will find me a poorer teacher than he but I hope you can still learn something."

“Oh, no, I’m sure you’re great! I saw what you could do back then, and it was really impressive.”

Granted, Diarmuid could do more, but he wasn’t exactly human, and as far as Ryoji could tell, Suzaku was relatively normal. Though, now that he was near him, Ryoji couldn’t help but notice the strange aura Suzaku seemed to have… something dark, and familiar to Ryoji’s own experiences.

He hopes the other man doesn’t notice the small frown that appears before he can stop it.

Suzaku did notice, and frowned himself, looking around wondering if Ryoji had seen something. "Is something wrong?"

[notsogrimreaper]

"Ah! Um, it's not really anything. Just a... bit of a strange feeling. Something to do with my powers. It's not a big deal."

Surely Suzaku had just suffered a few deaths in the Tower, that's all... but it's so strong...

"Oh." Suzaku blinked, "Do you feel alright? Do you need to rest a moment?" He had no idea about Ryoji's powers or what they did, or how they affected Ryoji.

[notsogrimreaper]

"I'm fine... I don't need to rest, I just..."

Why was this feeling so intense? Ryoji wanted to just ignore it, but he was unsure that that was even possible at this level.

"I'm sorry, Suzaku-san. You don't have to answer, but... what was your old world like?"

He blurts out the pressing question before looking away, ashamed.

"You see, my powers mean I can sense certain things. I can tell if people are connected to death. If they've died, seen someone die, or killed someone, then I can tell. I didn't want to ask, but..."

Suzaku frowned at the question of his world, and went very still at the explanation.

"I'm sorry." His voice was very quiet, "I must make you very uncomfortable." He stepped away, as if getting further away would help Ryoji at all.

[notsogrimreaper]

"Oh, no! I'm sorry. Please don't think you should stay away. I was just worried about you, is all.

"We don't need to talk about it. Let's just change the subject."

[swordofzero]

"You needn't be worried." Suzaku told him. "I just do not wish to make you feel uncomfortable."

[notsogrimreaper]

“And I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable. Really, I’m not that bothered. It was a worrying feeling, but a lot of people have experienced death here anyways. I’ve gotten used to it.”

Even if it’s stronger around Suzaku, it’s nothing he can’t handle. He’s just sorry someone who appears to be only a year or two older than him has suffered so much.

Suzaku frowned but nodded. "I am sorry for that, it id not something you should have to get use to."

[notsogrimreaper]

"Don't be sorry. It's fine. I... With what I am, I should be used to it."

[swordofzero]

Suzaku nodded with a frown. He wondered what Ryoji meant by that, but did not wish to pry.

"So! Anyways, are you going to be starting a demonstration soon? I think there are too many people to do one-on-one training."

[swordofzero]

Suzaku nodded, "Yes, I am just waiting to see if anyone else will turn up." And getting to know those who did, checking how much they knew already.

[notsogrimreaper]

"I see. Do you want me to let you go? There's a lot of people around you probably want to talk to."

[swordofzero]

"Yes I should talk to a few others, but we will be starting soon." He nodded at him.

[notsogrimreaper]

"All right. I'll be looking forward to the lesson. Thanks."

[swordofzero]

"You're welcome." He nodded again and went off to great the others.
