From what I can gather, it shows anyone on that floor a place that's important to them. For some people, it can be comforting, but— Sometimes, even if you have fond memories of that place, having them dragged up can be painful.

If you don't mind me saying so, I suspect that would be the case for you. I'd advise you to avoid it.
