Lightning 01 ϟ Shocking Arrival and Fairy Musings
Characters: Laxus Dreyar and anyone~
Setting: Room 2-02, floor 86, cafeteria
Format: Starting 3rd, will match otherwise
Summary: New arrival, Laxus Is Not Happy. Also, some irony with the Fairy rings.
Warnings: None, a few swear words (nothing bad)
Room 2-02
Coming to awareness was jarring. He had the sensation of time passing but no memories, like an exhausted sleep after training until he dropped.
There was a problem though. He couldn't move. He couldn't get up, couldn't move his arms or legs, couldn't unlock his jaw to yell at the Fairy Tail member who must have did this to him-!
It was gone. In one moment he couldn't move and the next he could and managed to fling himself off the bed he was on. Luckily, he managed to roll and get to his feet somewhat gracefully.
It took Laxus two seconds to get his bearing in the unfamiliar room, and another two to find and read the notes near the bed he woke up at. The papers were quickly read, crumpled and thrown on the floor in utter disbelief.
Whoever was pulling this charade was going to get a thunder-laced punch to the face.
Floor 86
Well this is cute, Laxus sneered. Fairy circles. It was just like some shit story Ever would read. And then recite to the rest of the Raijinshuu as they were travelling to job locations. Something about as 'Fairies' they should know all about fairy lore.
He'll have to thank her, because now he knows you don't just want to walk into one.
Dropping those thoughts of home with a sigh, Laxus rolled his shoulders and found a spot clear of fairy rings to enjoy the weather in.
Cafeteria
God damn this stuff was worse than Ever's cooking. And Ever had nothing on even Elfman to begin with, for crying out loud. He wasn't about to not eat this slop though. He didn't want to have the weak feeling you get from puking your guts out.
Maybe he could get away with eating something with the shit? Fruit could make this stuff more bearable, like alcohol and Evergreen's cooking...

2-02
"Ah. They filled his old space quick." His voice was so soft and so casual that it sounded more like he was talking to himself than to his new roommate.
2-02
"The Hell does that mean?"
no subject
"Und what a vibrant one you are, too!" he said. "Now, now, calm down a bit. The doctor will only answer questions if he is not being threatened with imminent bodily harm."
no subject
He makes sure to school his features into much more less-threatening ones.
"What the Hell is this place?"
no subject
"This is the Tower of Animus," he said, "und you are filling the space where my old roommate used to be. He disappeared a short while ago." He drags a gloved fingertip down his own cheek, but otherwise, he looks and sounds impassive. "Tear."
no subject
wow I totally messed up my tenses in that last tag, my bad
He discarded his book entirely and swung his legs over the edge of his bed, then stretched his arms up above his head and yawned. He took the time to crack his neck and adjust his hat, too. Introduction speeches were only ever incredibly fun or incredibly boring, so he had to gear up for the possibility of both.
"You will find that this place is very much real, und your world is very much dead. Cast your doubts to the wind, yadda yadda yadda." He smirked. "Or else you are not going to make it here."
It's okay, I never notice tenses (mine or other's whoops)
All while Richtofen moves, Laxus watches. If this tower is full of people from different worlds, who knows what kind of magic he could possess. He doesn't move himself, however. "What's your name, anyway. If I am really stuck here, it wouldn't hurt to know who I'm forced to room with's name."
no subject
He stood up and smiled. The thought of this big, brutish-looking man getting himself gobbled up by a monster on his first day made him giddy enough to keep up a pleasant demeanor. He stepped forward and extended a hand in greeting.
"My name is Dr. Richtofen," he said. "Und you are?"
Floor 86
Didn't take him long to spot the thunder wielding mage and resting so peacefully too. It would almost be a sin to disturb that.
"Laxus! When did you get here?!" Subtle as always.
Floor 86
Figures he would be here too.
"To think you show up the moment I decide to think this place over." A sigh.
"And don't step in the rings. If they're what I think they are you'll be killed."
Re: Floor 86
He paused with his foot in the air as he was just about to step in one of them.
"Woah for real? How the heck did you figure that out?"
no subject
Laxus sits up enough to lean on his elbows and watch Natsu.
"Because, Runt, I know how to read, and Evergreen likes to give all the Raijinshuu books on real fairies. These," he waves an arm to indicate the mushroom rings, "are fairy rings. Fairies use them to trap people."
no subject
He looked over at the rings ignoring the jab about his inability to read. He sometimes read, dammit. Just it was only when he'd visit Lucy's place and she would be too busy to really pay him any attention.
"So they're sorta like Freed's runes then?"
no subject
"Yeah, you could say that. I wouldn't be surprised if they were from the same vain of magic. Point is, you don't want to be the one in them." That's right. If you have to study them push someone else (unimportant) in and study the consequences. Such a good role model Laxus is.
no subject
"I'll be sure to remember that. This place likes to make that kind of thing real more often than not." Speaking from personal experience right there.
"So when did you get here, anyway?"
cafeteria, sir :3
When Lucy heard from Natsu about Laxus' scent being around, together with Natsu, she also started running around to be able to find him. Much to her luck, it didn't take her much.
Normally, she would laugh at how Laxus was trying to eat the oatmeal given to him, but right now she was so happy to see him. People may call it selfish, but both her and Natsu endured so many thing here.
3rd times the charm darling <3
"I don't know who else it would be." He turns his body towards where Lucy stood." Looks like you're here too, huh?"
FFFFF I HOPE SO! /)(\ <333
"He is looking for you too; Natsu I mean."
no subject
"I've been here since this morning. A few hours, or so." If this was anyone but Laxus the next statement would be called hesitant, "how long have you and the runt been here?"
no subject
All the while, she made sure to hide her right arm under the black cloak she was wearing so that nobody would notice that her arm was burnt.
Floor 86
"You are of Fairy Tail... right?"
no subject
no subject
That was... another of Fairy Tail S-class mages, if he isn't mistaken, though Jellal has no idea why the other mage would bring him up upon seeing him. He is generally a bit startled by the familiar way he's addressed. He shakes his head slightly.
"But yes, I'm Jellal. I-" He reaches up brushing back his bangs almost sheepishly. "-lost my memory a while back, and only just recently regained part of it. There are still some blank spots left, I'm afraid."
And it's quite possible that Laxus is one of those blank spots, he thinks.
