Laxus doesn't need the lightning to hurt someone if they leave out information, so it was relatively easy to understand the need to stop the lighting. The lightning was a strong part of him though, so it took a few moments to cool his anger enough so it went away.

He makes sure to school his features into much more less-threatening ones.
