The commotion in the tower from all the message-spamming was starting to get to Zelgadis, and he was convinced that there was nowhere he could go for some peace and quiet. He's still in the process of finding his way around the tower anyway, and when he stumbles onto a forest, of all things, he breathes a long sigh of relief. At last, he's going to catch a break from the hectic nonsense.
And then he sees that same message carved into the bark of some of the trees.
"Here, too, of all places?"
Of course, he opens his mouth right before noticing that the industrious woodcarver was only a couple of trees ahead of him; he's tense, for a moment, not knowing whose attention he's about to catch. He looks like just a kid, but Zel's seen enough weird things here that he's perfectly willing to expend caution.
