[when the paralysis wears off she almost lurches out of bed, utterly confused and alarmed. This isn't her house. This isn't her family's house. Kidnapping-?

Residents of room 1-07 will be met with the loud thunk of Aoi falling off the bedside and scrabbling upright, evidently panicked; help a poor lady out?]

Dormitory Corridors
[having recovered somewhat from the initial... shock... Aoi is mostly wandering; venturing through the dormitory floors, warily avoiding the network terminals and generally trying to stay out of everyone's way whilst she fully comes to terms with all this...]

*He sees the haunted, lost look of a newcomer. He's seen it every month for a year save last month. He knows he has to step up, to help newcomers orient and get up to speed, because it's clear that they haven't been doing so well enough.*

[she smiles at the man's politeness. Truth be told, no-one could be alright with that kind of awakening, but the knowledge some - if, sadly, not all - of her family were still safe gave at least a glimmer of hope]

A little. I understand the floors lower down are dangerous... has anyone been down there?

The floors lower down...? The lowest ones we can reach normally are the safest in the tower for their high use. Below those are the ones our hosts use, though, and they are...indeed dangerous. They don't take kindly to trespassing.
