Hacking Punishment

[It seems almost as if they got away with their scheme. The day passes without incident, and soon night falls just as innocently. But then, no matter where they are, those who participated in either the distraction or the hacking portions of the ploy will find a floating, film-like computer screen in front of their faces. Riki stares back at them, and he looks annoyed.]

If you're gonna mess with my things, you'll get punished by me no matter whose turn it is. Feel lucky the kid wants me to go easy on you.

[All of the characters will grow dizzy and black out. They awaken on the first floor--the cafeteria. All their abilities, while not gone completely, have been severely dampened and are much more exhausting to use than normal. They cannot teleport, flash step, or otherwise travel great distances using their abilities at all. A strange, blinking light has been attached to all of their collars and cannot be removed.

They will now attract monsters--mostly uncommon and rare ones--to their location. No electronics work for them--the elevators refuse to open and will not move while they are near, even if they try to get someone else to aid them, and the terminals will not turn on and let them call for help.

The only way to get out alive will be to climb up through one hundred and one floors to the dormitory levels, where they will be safe in their rooms. Good luck.]

[ Everything seems fine for a moment with Sertoria when she initially wakes up, her visor sliding off of her eyes and reconnecting to the top of her head. There are no external or internal injuries she has to worry about, either, so perhaps-- ]

System SPERO suffered a m-minor, unexpected crash. W-Welcome back, CXEV5--

[ The android hefts herself up to her feet, her fingers twitching as well as her hands for a brief moment. She's sure nothing happened to her body, so why are her limbs acting out of control? ]

Damage r-report, please.

Understood-- [ A small jolt interrupts her next sentence before she sighs, running a hand through her hair. ]

It would be a bad time for me to mention t-that I am currently running o-on nuclear energy, y-yes? M-My fail-safes could f-fail if I am not repaired or restrained.

[terreifying]

...Yeah, really, very bad.

[Aaaaand Rei is scoching away right now.]

I will not haaaarm y-you. Really! As long as m-my casing r-remains undamaged, I should b-be able to p-prevent a disaster.

[ Another jolt of electricity surges through her body, causing her gunblade to come out and fall to the ground with a loud thud.

Well, that's convenient for later. ]

Is... a-anyone able to repair me?

[terreifying]

...I'm not sure. Are there any scientists around?

[ Did someone say scientist? Because that old man right here is one, if only disorientated from what Riki just did. Punished? That meant that what they did brought about positive results at least, he assumed. Still, he wasn't looking forward to the details of the punishment. ]

Great Scott...!

[ Looking around, that is when he noticed Sertoria and Rei. Worried he approached them, obviously noticing something wrong with Sertoria. ]

What's wrong?!

[ Sertoria offers a sad smile to Doc, wondering why he's a part of this punishment too. She could have handled his share of this punishment, but she knows the administrators aren't exactly kind. ]

I am s-sorry you aaaaare stuck in this m-mess, Doc.

[ Instead of talking to conserve power, Sertoria will open a panel in her arm as a screen appears, occasionally glitching in its' display. There's several notifications of what's going on internally as well as externally. No warnings have appeared just yet, but time will tell. ]

I can g-get my t-toolbox out if you need it. I am n-not suuuure how well it will w-work, given my c-current state.

[terreifying]

Where's your tool box?

[Rei glances around the floor.]

I'll get it.

[ The blond haired android points to the middle of her chest. ]

It is i-insiiiide me. I w-was created with Spatial Technology for weapons, but I haaave used it for other items.

[doc_brown]

[ Speak about a strange place to hide a toolbox. The Doc shakes his head and sighs, going over to the panel before speaking to Sertoria. ]

Don't worry about me.

[ He looks down at the panel and follows what's written, turning briefly to Rei. ]

Get the toolbox, I'll keep an eye for any warnings!

[immortalia]

[ In a way, this is actually humbling to Sertoria. She's used to being so strong and nigh invincible, so to be this limited even in her body was teaching her yet another lesson. ]

You are m-my best f-friend, Doc. I will n-naturally worry aaaabout you.

[ She sits down and closes her eyes, trying to materialize the toolbox. A few errors come up on the panel, which is now intermittently glitching out. ]

[terreifying]

[Rei starts prying at the panel, shifting her fingers into a longer and flatter state so she can get between the cracks. The panel comes off with some effort and she can see various warning marks. And, along with it, the toolbox. She quickly pulls it out.]

This is it, right?

[ Sertoria opens her eyes again, finding it difficult to see for a few seconds before she shakes her head to focus her optic sensors. She only offers Rei a nod, a smile forming on her face. ]
