[It seems almost as if they got away with their scheme. The day passes without incident, and soon night falls just as innocently. But then, no matter where they are, those who participated in either the distraction or the hacking portions of the ploy will find a floating, film-like computer screen in front of their faces. Riki stares back at them, and he looks annoyed.]

If you're gonna mess with my things, you'll get punished by me no matter whose turn it is. Feel lucky the kid wants me to go easy on you.

[All of the characters will grow dizzy and black out. They awaken on the first floor--the cafeteria. All their abilities, while not gone completely, have been severely dampened and are much more exhausting to use than normal. They cannot teleport, flash step, or otherwise travel great distances using their abilities at all. A strange, blinking light has been attached to all of their collars and cannot be removed.

They will now attract monsters--mostly uncommon and rare ones--to their location. No electronics work for them--the elevators refuse to open and will not move while they are near, even if they try to get someone else to aid them, and the terminals will not turn on and let them call for help.

The only way to get out alive will be to climb up through one hundred and one floors to the dormitory levels, where they will be safe in their rooms. Good luck.]

[Tears spilled down his face as well and he clung to her for a moment before leaning back and going back to bandaging, still crying softly, worried about her coughing, and the blood. None of her wounds seemed infected.]

Did you get injured anywhere else?

[Xion frowns a little at his question, as if thinking]

I don't... think so.

[She lowers her hand to her arm, where the long and deep cut - which he's probably already noticed - is]

That's the worst one, I think... but...

[The rest of it is just regular cuts and scrapes and bruises, and most of those he's already seen to... ]

[He nods and begins cleaning that one, checking for infection as he does so. It probably needs stitches.] I'm going to numb your arm alright?

[He does so, making note that he probably has to go and ~~steal~~ borrow some more supplies from the infirmary soon.] Did you see what kind of monster it was?

[Xion nods, grimacing a little as he does so. She's not sure if the odd, tingly feeling is better than the pain or not, but both are kind of dwarfed, compared to the ache in her chest and the raw feeling that's developing in her throat.

The monster though...]

It came right after... [She trails off, clearly not wanting to continue. She skips over it] It.. it had a big cloak. I couldn't really see what was under it. It's like it kept moving there. And... it was holding these big knives.

[Shion frowns, it isn't one he had come across, nor was it one that Reno had come across and wrote about in his journal.] Does this cut come from the knife?

[Xion nods a little]

Never seen it before. But... [She smiles ruefully] We don't go out at night much.

[He nods and takes out a needle.] I'm going to stitch this alright. [He has inspected it, it doesn't seem infected. He fears there was poison on the blades, but with the way she is coughing it's too late to stop the spread of it, if it even is poison. He hugs her tight again.]

[She nods again, leaning against him as he hugs her. It's a little easier to stay silent now. She's still so tired.

She lays there, letting him work, the numbness making what would have been a painful experience merely an odd/slightly uncomfortable one.

At last, she speaks]

I just hope... they found something worth it.

[He works as steadily as he could, holding her as he did so.] It wasn't worth it, nothing is worth you being hurt.

And if we can't... find out what's going on before the year is over... [She pauses, breathing a little heavily] Then it'll hurt us all anyway.

I didn't... think it would end like this. I thought... after... after the other day... that we'd be okay.

[She hadn't anticipated a second punishment like this]

The other day? What happened? [With this he had assumed they hadn't been caught, that the administrators had tracked them down later to punish them.

She was right though, it was hurt now or die later... For good.]

I think I messed up. Either that... or they won't let us hack the elevators anymore... to get down to the admin levels.

[She shudders a tiny bit involuntarily]

I was supposed to hack the panel, and get us down there. But we got trapped inside the elevator instead.

They might have gotten wise, made it harder. [He frowned] Trapped? [He hugged her again, angry that she had been hurt and scared.]

Yeah...

[Xion pulls up her hands again and stares at them.] It stopped, and I tried to use the panel again, to get it to keep going, or take us to a floor in the residential levels but... it shocked me instead.

[So if Shion noticed she'd been shaky at all, the night before.... well that was why]

Shocked you? [More worried examining, he wondered if that had something to do with her current condition, if there had been internal damage.] How did you escape?
