He hoped (although he knew deep down that it wouldn't work) that he could talk his way out of accompanying Diamuid and Wriggle and find chaos who would teleport him to the sauna. Unfortunately, one of the few things that terrified Edgeworth - even more so than the monsters - was boarding an elevator. It was humiliating enough that he had to rely on a strange boy to help him teleport to the cafeteria and back twice a day. And Edgeworth would much rather it stayed that way.
