Characters: Asahi Yuki and Giorno Giovanna
Setting: Floor 25
Format: Action
Summary: Asahi asks for Giorno's help with evading the retrieval units during the boycott.
Warnings: Probably nothing except Asahi being Asahi.

[ She has to run. She's seen the retrieval units out yesterday trying to grab the orange people who didn't show up, so she knows it's her turn today since she skipped yesterday. They're out looking for her and she's not planning on letting them catch her, even if she fears it might be difficult. Not like she has any special powers after all, at least not any that will help her out in combat. She's busy running all over the place, trying to think up some sort of plan as to how to avoid getting caught, but she can't come up with anything.. until she sees the back of a familiar person walking around and that seems to make her come up with at least some sort of idea.

Without saying a word, Asahi grabs Giorno's hand when she walks by (normally she'd be more embarassed about it, but right now she can't bring up a moment to be embarassed when she's too busy running) and just drags him along as she runs, not even bothering to explain - all the way into the elevator and then up across the floors to the meadow on floor 25. She finally lets out a breath, noticing there's no units around here.. for the moment, at least. ]

Hey, Giorno-- y.. you promised you'd protect me, right?! [ At that she does blush, even if it's just faintly. She still can't really say it with a straight face, as much as she likes the idea - or maybe that's the problem to begin with. But either way, she knows he's the one she can count the most on in this place. ] Then I need your help right now..!

[ She would love to punch him except it'd totally give away that they're here, so she doesn't dare to.. in the end some logical thought remains in the back of her head, indicating she should do anything to not get caught or that thing would surely drag her to get her collar refilled. Instead for now she just bites her lip, trying to swallow down the feeling, but.. it's really impossible. When she's this close to him, when he's holding her this close, all protectively, even.. it's just too much. It's like the breath is stuck in her throat, like she can't breathe or think or anything and..

In the end her body moves faster than her mind does, since her mind would have freaked out too much over it. But instinct wins out and she leans her head just a tiny bit forward to cover the distance between the two of them, pressing her lips slightly clumsily against his into a kiss, her eyes closed. ]

[Okay, there is something here that was not being expected in the sole duty of him actually "protecting" Asahi, and it was the fact that her lips was suddenly pressed against his. His eyes shot up a bit in surprise, more so over the fact that he didn't expect Asahi to be the type to actually do something like this- and for the other fact that there was a girl that was actually kissing him. But if he were to make any sudden movements right now, he would give away their position as well, so he's practically just cursing everything that's happening.

...but he still can't deny that, despite how clumsy she might have been in delivering the kiss, it felt...nice, even, to have the taste of someone else linger...so his instincts give way, as well, as he returns the kiss back, actually wanting for the two to stay like this for a while now.]

[ It's only then when he presses his lips firmly against hers too that she realises what's going on. She just kissed Giorno. And even better, or even worse, her mind can't quite decide on which it is yet.. he's kissing her back. Her face grows even more red and it's only through some extreme willpower that she keeps herself from just jumping up and running away because of it. Instead she hastily pulls away, bowing her head and hiding her expression that way with her hair. She's so extremely embarassed that he actually answered the kiss, now she doesn't know what to do.. she can't even ask him about it.

All she can do is try to keep her breathing under control as she lies there, Giorno still so extremely close to her, and her embarassment running through her head again and again. ]

[She pulled away...he figured that she would have if he had actually returned the kiss himself. But the way that she was acting right now was not the Asahi that he knew before...was this what it was like to witness a woman get flustered? He's so socially awkward that he doesn't know what to do in this situation anymore. So...he's probably going to regret his next action, but he's actually bringing a hand to place on her had as his hold on her tightens a bit, before he leans in and places a light kiss on her forehead.]

...there is no need to be embarrassed, Asahi. [The lightest of whispers that he can muster, but he needs for the girl to at least be somewhat okay for him...]

[ Oh god, he keeps going. He keeps going and she's not sure how to even handle it. Sure, she did that first kiss since she definitely wanted to, she wanted to kiss him, to continue being this close to him.. somehow Giorno made her feel strangely happy in a place like this, he offered to protect her even though she gave him nothing in return, even though all she did was yell at him and be pushy and drag him into everything.. and yet he kissed her back, and yet he kisses her now again too.

She probably doesn't deserve it. She probably just made a stupid move. She wants to speak up, whisper back to him, but just then she hears the whirring sound of the retrieval unit entering the floor and she stiffens in his arms out of sheer fear of being found out here and dragged away after all. At least it means she doesn't move much though, and since the two of them are hidden and still the unit moves away again, seemingly giving up for now to look somewhere else.

Asahi lets out a heavy sigh of relief. But that unit wasn't the only one of her problems, huh, Giorno is still very much here and he's the bigger problem she caused herself.

It makes her shake her head slightly and really slowly, her own voice uncharacteristically quiet too. ]

I.. shouldn't be doing this. [ She speaks slowly though, choosing her words carefully rather than impulsively blurting everything out like usually. ] Our worlds are supposedly destroyed, I don't know what happened to everyone back home, we're in constant danger here and they even said the tower is going to be destroyed in less than a year.. [ For a moment she remains quiet, trying to avoid his gaze even though he's right in front of her and all around her. ] .. I shouldn't make things more complicated, right..?

[He stopped himself when he heard the drones come into the room, him becoming extremely still, not even letting his breath let out. But as soon as they left, he let out a sigh of relief, but what he didn't expect was Asahi whispering those words to him. It actually made him stop and think about the sort of repercussions it would have on...well, just about anything as a whole- but was she thinking about the same thing he was at the moment? ...hm.

It takes him a good while to speak, but his voice comes out rather...soft, more then he usually would like it to be.]

...if that's how you feel, then I won't stop you from doing what you feel like is right. But I suppose I would be in fault too, with what I'm trying to do as well... [A pause, letting himself gather his thoughts.] ...but I will admit. You...stir up some rather odd emotions inside of me that I thought wasn't possible before hand with another girl...it's why I'd like to stay like this with for you a while.

...but like I said...if you don't feel the same way, then I'd rather you just wait to sort out your feelings on the matter...

[ Is he just trying to make it more difficult by saying that?! As if she could just walk away when she knows he feels something for her too, that he actually fully returns her feelings despite it - even according to him - being strange for him to even feel this way. ]

I've told you before, I.. I want you to protect me..! [ Admitting that back then was hard and even now it's still hard. It makes her seem weak, doesn't it? But she had no choice but to rely on someone since she didn't have special powers, but it's not just about that, not now. So she frowns as she tries to explain, but instead of angry she's more just.. frustrated at herself for not being able to figure out how to word things, let alone her own feelings. ]

And I just want it to be you, not anyone else..! A-after all, I can only trust someone I really love with that, i.. idiot!

[There was something in what she said that made him choke on something- mostly due to how sudden the revelation of her words. Did...did she just say that she "loved" him? Oh god, how in the world was he supposed to reply to something like that?! The once now calm and collected Giorno seemed to be blushing madly at just the sound of that, his eyes immediately darting in a direction that's not looking at the other girls face, and himself wanting to escape just to hide his embarrassment.

But he can't say that the idea of someone actually loving him is nice- in fact, he's feeling something warm rise up within the pits of his stomach (and his heart), but he's gritting his teeth, any words wanting to come out completely muffled. Eventually, though, he seems to have calmed down after a good while, a sigh escaping his lips.]

...do...do you really...feel that way towards me...? You...love someone like me...? [He's not sure how to take this, at all...]

[ It doesn't help with how they're still lying there and both completely freaking out, huh.. anyone passing by the floor is going to wonder where those voices are even coming from at this rate. But Asahi is still completely flustered as she's waiting for what he's going to say, trying to keep herself and her breathing under control but it's practically near-impossible. Come on, Asahi, just breathe...!! Even if he's asking you a horribly difficult question, just deal with it somehow!

Except she really can't deal, it's why she even fumbles as she tries to answer the question. ]

D.. don't ask me about it either, but.. [ She takes a deep breath, her gaze anywhere but directly into his eyes. ] .. I do. I just feel really weird whenever I'm near you..

[It takes him a good while (and a good deal of silence on his part), but it seems that he's calmed down for the most part, a bit of time passing by after her words that it became apparent to them that they do feel the same way, don't they? These feelings towards each other weren't going to go away anytime soon, and if they were to dwell on it, things could get...rather awkward...

...so, with a little hesitance on his part (and maybe fear? Who could tell with him), he finally speaks up once more, but this time, he's putting a hand under Asahi's chin so that he could bring up her face to look at his.]

...then...would you do me the pleasure of... [A bit of a pause. How do people word this...?] ...oh being together with me...? I know it seems strange, but...

[ Strange? Of course it sounds strange. It sounds nothing but downright moronic, starting something like that in a place like this where they constantly get tortured and have to deal with hardships and the entire place will just.. downright end in less than a year, but..

Even so.. she can't deny the feelings lingering in her heart. She can't turn this chance down, the very thought of it scares her. Especially when she's looking right into his eyes like this, she can feel like she's losing herself just from that much.. ]

.. Only if you promise to never leave me.. [ She doesn't want to get seperated. If she accepts now, she'll be depending on him even more, so.. there's absolutely no way he can leave her, he's not allowed to.. ]

Then I promise I'll be at your side when you need it most...think of me as a shield. [An affectionate shield, sure, but is that the right type of analogy to be using here? He knows he's going to have to make sure nothing happens to her in the time they're here, but he doesn't seem to mind it much. It's what he got himself into, he might as well own up to it.]

So, I take it that's a deal? [Of course he'd return back to his boss like demeanor after a while...he can't help it if he's almost always serious half the time, but he wants to make sure here...]

[ .. Giorno, you were doing so well with keeping her dere and non-violent and then you just had to say the last part, didn't you.. she growls a little bit, her face still red out of embarassment, but it's the more aggressive tsun kind now. ]

D-DON'T SAY IT LIKE THAT..!

[ She's already trying to push him away now. ]

[How is he supposed to know how a female's heart is supposed to work in the first place...all he knows is how males act considering he's around Mista, of all people. Either way, he seems a little confused at what she's trying to do, but he's still maintaining this sort of distance.]

...is something the matter? I didn't say anything wrong, did I?

[Sure, whatever you say Giorno...]

[ ~~Mista isn't a good source for learning this kind of stuff, Giorno. Not. At. All.~~ ]

Y.. you say "deal", that.. that makes it sound like something shady! [ Okay, maybe Asahi is just oversensitive too and flips out at the smallest of things, but it's not exactly anything she can help anymore at this point either, it's just her personality.. ] L-love's something really different from deals!

[~~It's sad when Mista is actually the source of all of Giorno's girl treating knowledge sobs~~]

...is it? [Oh boy, Giorno's actual "what in the world is love" colors are showing. He has no clue how to handle a girl's feelings, let alone get a good grasp on what in the world love is to a girl, so he's just sorta...in the dark for the time being.] I guess there are some things that I don't know...

[ .. He doesn't even grasp this?! But it's so basic that she thought everyone would know! It's not like she's too great with this whole love thing, but even to her this is natural.. oh god, what has she gotten into. Of course the one guy she'd fall for is actually a huge moron when it comes down to it, go figure.. ]

.. Idiot, go to the library floor and read up on this stuff already, g.. got it..?!

[...There were books on this sort of thing, too?! Giorno's practically becoming flustered along with Asahi- okay, okay...calm down, Giorno, you'll find out how to deal with this somehow. Which is why he's already leaning in closer to Asahi, his eyes peering into hers.]

...I'd rather have someone teach me this then me reading a book...and I'm sure you'd be able to help me out.
