[The way that Jason's voice changed was more than a little disconcerning, and Ion could feel his heart racing in a mixture of fear and adrenaline. He had never, not once, been more relieved for the glamour to have been shut down since he had seen himself as a wireframe at the beginning of June. For obvious reasons, Ion didn't like to face anything that made him feel less human than he already considered himself--but now? He was just thankful.
The instant that the illusion had dropped, Ion felt that familiar, creeping weakness of his body snap off as well. He was still sore from the events in the elevator shaft, mind you, but the exhaustion and dizziness set in by his standing condition had left him as if a switch had been flipped (which in a manner of speaking it had). He could hear Luke running behind him and wouldn't be surprised if the taller, much more athletic teen was able to pass him, but for now he'd concentrate on looking around.
He didn't want to have to face what was behind them. There had to be something useful they could find down the right hallway--and if not? Well...Ion at least hoped they could find an exit.]
