Characters: Catchall post for Yu and Ira.
Format: Action to start, but I'll match you.
Setting: See prompts.
Summary: Yu - Backdated stuff from post-Infiltration, acknowledging Rise's disappearance, and then shadows. (will be adding more later) Ira - casually laughing at the irony of shadows of Nobodies he hates.
Warnings: Sometimes being a Persona protagonist sucks outside of October onward. Alternatively, being alive for only three days can be a blessing.

| Tues., 13th of August - Mailroom [It wasn't often that he checked his mailbox - once a week was the norm sometimes. Yet today was the exception, as he moved to check his he couldn't help but feel a bit of dread. Bad enough that he had seen a couple shadows trailing him at a distance. Tch. Is this what that scientist was talking about? He thinks bitterly to himself. Talk about iro- What was this? A nametag? Ira turns it over once or twice before crumpling it up and tossing it over his shoulder into a trash bin And, with a roll of the eyes, he begins walking away. Nice try, Jason. He isn't subscribing to your antics. Eheehee...] | |
| Wed., 14th of August - Beach [He doesn't know what brought him here to the beach. Maybe it was because it was quiet, maybe it was just some kind of nostalgia. No matter how fake he knew it was, at least it was-- A fake beach? How fitting. After all, you don't even have real memories. Why, I'd say you belong here. Don't. you. think~? Ehee~] Cut it out, Larxene. [What's this? Is the broken toy still pretending to have a spine? The big, creepy, white grin of one of the shadows surrounding him grew even more. And here I thought you still cared more for that witch. You left her to fade into something less than even a shadow like you, you know~ Now, what does that say about you? Something in him freezes up as red begins to seep into his vision. It's true, he did leave the one person he'd cared about (a lie), but...] Funny. Since you're the shadow, now! [But does that make you any less a puppet? He whirled to face the other, nearly acting like a caged animal. After all, all you did was get another group pulling your strings. First Vexen, then Marluxia and Larxene, then me, and now that...pig guy? Ira brings both hands to his head, covering his ears as he fights a bout of dizziness.] Shut up! [He is going to kill you, Jason, if his creator shows up next.] | |
| Thurs., 16th of August - Floor 6 [Perhaps it was luck, that he had no future for him. He didn't have to worry like the others, even as his violet collar lost a bit of color while he jumped through corridor after corridor, soon arriving in the forest and refusing to leave. He had his little collection of shadows - ghosts who kept taunting, one remaining silent even as a few more chimed in. That one didn't have to say anything - he knew the scent and body language all too well, even in his fake memories. Though, one of them was new.] What? Come to join the taunting, too? [Riku...] And how many times do I have to say it? I'm not Riku. [Ya sure did mess up just like Riku, though! Another quacked. Ugh, he was beginning to see why real thing's memories - however modified his versions were - said that they got along like Vexen and a chakram. Donald.. What? It's true! Hey, enough of that! But you know... he is right. Et tu, Sora? I mean, I wanna help you - and I meant what I said about you, but...] ...Save it. [He turns away, trying not to listen to the shadow people any further. Though no matter what he doesn't say as he tries to escape them like he always escaped confrontation he couldn't cut down (running from it), one thing was for certain. 'Sora... out of anyone I met, I wish you were able to live instead of me.'] | |
| Mon., 5th of August - 2nd Dorm Floor [When the usual nightmare woke him up, everything seemed to be the usual pace of Helltower. Everything was the same. Same roommates, same new person he just kept missing on the door. Same faces and wish to not get stabbed in his sleep as per the norm. However, when he walked out of the dorm room, there was something very much absent from the door across the hall. There was no Rise Kujikawa listed. Strength seemed to leave his knees at the sight. She... she was gone? ... It felt like a scalpel had just pierced his chest, even though he knew there wasn't one there Though he probably should have prepared himself, just in case the inevitable happened... Too late, now.] | |
| Mon., 12th of August - Mailroom [It was a typical, everyday thing that Yu would come to the mailroom floor. He liked to keep up to date with things, and they tended to leave notes in the mailboxes when something was about to go down. Yet when he glimpsed something orange in his, something in the back of his head told him to simply close it again and not...open it again. Yet morbid curiosity was beginning to win. What could it be? And why did they seem so familiar? He reaches in, hand shooting back when he felt something gooey against plastic and foam. Suddenly he was glad he hadn't eaten yet, or he might have been physically ill. These were... ... He suddenly didn't want to think about it, anymore. Even when a couple shadow children drew closer to him, one even vaguely motioning to the contents he didn't want anything to do with. Yet he carefully pulls the object out, careful not to touch where there was blood. Only when he pulled it out completely did he realize why. These were his headphones. Yosuke's headphones. But... wasn't Yosuke still here? Wait, that's right. They were... I thought we were in this together, partner. Why the hell did you leave us behind?!' Subconsciously, his grip tightens on the headphones.] Damn you to hell, Jason. [This was what was on that computer when they ran past.... wasn't it.] |

Yu - Wednesday, Stairs
[Sure, sure. Just run away! Isn't that what you always do?]
[You do run a lot... you're not very reliable, are you? Of course you're not the hero. You don't even rate as a miniboss. You're just a mistake.]
[Haha! You should have been my slave anyway. Instead you're just a copy that's useless to everyone!]
[The angel lashes out, attempting to kick the shadow child in the face, but it just goes right through.]
Dammit!
5th August
Floor 6, Repliku
While Riku doesn't know him all that well, he'll go ahead and approach anyway. Chances are, he could use some form of distraction.]
Need me to swat those things away for a while? I've got nothing better to do.
[Swatting them away won't change a thing, Fake. Quit being such a coward!]
Ira, Floor 6
An hour or two of sleep counts as a win, right?) The crowd of shadows, of familiar and unfamiliar (though they certainly seemed to know him) voices was becoming thicker, and as much as he tried to counteract it, the effect on Sora was showing. But even though he was getting tired, he still felt best when he was moving around. It wasn't like he could run away from them completely...but he didn't like sitting still, either. That's why he had been slowly wandering the tower, at least to the floors he knew were relatively safe and mostly not creepy. Of course, he was looking for people, friends especially. He wanted to make sure that they were still okay. That's how he had ended up on the forest floor.
When he spots Ira, it doesn't take him too long to figure out who he is - as much as Sora may joke about the difficulties of telling one Riku in the tower from another, he actually didn't find it very difficult at all. Ira was the easiest, just because of how much younger he looked. Which was good - Sora would feel bad about calling him Riku accidentally, since he really wasn't.
He had a few shadows hanging around him, too, which put Sora instantly into worrying mode.]
Ira!
[He runs (though where he's pulling out the energy to do that from is hard to say) closer to Ira, at the very least so that they don't have to shout.]
Need some help? Or, well...[he glances over at Ira's shadows] someone to help you get rid of those guys?
[Having a friend around had been the best way to do that as far as Sora knew, so...]
no subject
Right. The other Riku.]
Nah. They're just a nuisance. [Though one glance at the shadows around Riku, and Ira couldn't help but shake his head. Figures.] Need me to throw a few meteor showers at yours?
[Don't ask how he knows that spell; please don't ask how he knows it. We don't need a Zexion shadow, too-
Well, surely you must have to resort to others' powers to vanquish us. Your heart is exactly like the real Riku's, after all - you cannot simply shrug off the darkness you wield so clumsily.
Oh Light, why.]

at least sora slept he's been on the move for two days straight). He has to keep moving, or he'd--He has no idea why his feet led him this way into the forest, only that soon enough he was able to hear a voice. A familiar voice. One of those that the shadow following closest to him was but stopped briefly when the other started. That's right; it hadn't called him by the name he'd chosen for himself. Only this Sora did.
Though he couldn't help but stop and look at the mass of shadows behind Sora.]
...Sora? [Dude he has a small posse and you have an army.] Shouldn't I be asking you that?
['Because you have more of a right to exist...'
Riku... Why do you want him to live but don't care that we're like this?
Nope. Don't answer him. Just focus on the one stuck in the same situation.]

[He chuckles at the thought. It's kind of extreme, but on the other hand, how would those shadows handle getting smothered by burning chunks of stone?
On the upside, he doesn't question where Ira learned the spell. Maybe he picked it up back in his world. His Replica certainly managed somehow.]
no subject
Hey, it was just an idea.
[ Plus, he's really wanted to try it on his Lexaeus. For the irony.]
no subject
[He takes a step to the side, giving a light shrug.]
Maybe you should do it. If nothing else, it'd be entertaining.
[Riku! How could you say something like that?
Oops, seems he upset the Sora shadow. Pardon him if he shudders a little.]
no subject
...If any of them are Sora- well, you know.
[He's as sorry as he could be with their Sora's presences kind of being lethal right now. Ira summons Soul Eater, ignoring the eerie purple glow that seems to keep happening whenever he uses someone else's power, before lifting up the blade and a sudden storm of meteorites strike both their shadows.
Aw yeah. Hit Lexaeus's in the face with a direct hit, too. Not that it did much with his.... sigh.]
no subject
Though Riku winces, he fights the urge to talk back. Instead, he'll point his Keyblade at Ira's shadows and shoot a little Firaga.]
We can't worry about who they are, if they're even who they claim to be. If we do, it'll only hurt.
